Not too hard, not too soft and the best part is the face thing you put your face in. Most of the time the hole is so small and, being claustrophobic, I am always widening the hole from the pillow cover. This spa has very spacious face holders. I know it sounds odd but trust me on this one. We have been here 3 times so far and each time I had a different masseuse. Each masseuse will always have their own technique, but there were other places I could not wait for my massage to be over. Each massage here was wonderful. I have had Lacy, Saylah and , Crystal and each one did a wonderful job. I booked my next one with Lacy and am happy to find such a wonderful spa. They do have monthly memberships which we joined to guarantee we get ourselves a massage every month.

So here we are two years later, me using the gift card because I had someone to go with and force me to finally use the gift card. When she booked, she asked me what service I wanted. After looking at their menu, I had opted for the Tranquil Retreat, which included a scalp massage, massage, and body scrub. The day before the experience I wound up asking my friend a myriad of questions. She explained everything to me, and mentioned we should get there early, even though our appointments were until the afternoon, because we could use the pool. have lunch and drinks prior to our appointment. I got there early, checked in, and was shown to the locker room, given a robe and a locker, then made my way to the pool. The pool area was beautiful, with a waterfall in the pool, lounge chairs, and umbrellas. I met my friend and she mentioned she'd be ordering a drink, so when in Rome. I ordered a Poinsettia. They had a bunch of cocktails and champagne based drinks. It was nice because we got to relax for a few hours prior to our services. I will admit, it seemed very exclusive here. Service was great, there was always someone coming around to see if you needed anything. I also wound up ordering a strawberry champagne cocktail, which was very good and refreshing. For lunch, I opted for their fish wrap. While the wrap was good, I don't think it was worth the $25 price tag, since it did come with a bag of chips. I'm not trying to knock it, but for the price, I was expecting something more. Ten minutes prior to our service, we made our way back to their waiting area. Which is calm and serene. Draped fabric line the ceiling, and calm blue and cream colors are accented on furniture. Amber came out who would be doing my services and walked me back. She explained each service, how it would be handled, etc. I loved that the massage table was heated, since I always run cold. The massage and scrub were lovely, and loved the lavender lotion and scrub they used. Amber did a great job adjusting the pressure to my liking. I will say the one thing I disliked was that you could hear someone with a rolling cart (I'm presuming they were collecting towels), but it was so loud during the service and wasn't super relaxing to hear that during the service. After my services, I opted to take a shower in the locker room, which was great, especially if you're getting a scalp massage. I also utilized the steam room, which was a nice bonus. Pros: -Ability to be there all day -Beautiful pool area -Ability to have drinks by the pool -Amber who did my services was great -Beautiful interior and exterior -Attendants at the pool were great Cons: -Loud rollie cart during services -Super high price tag, especially for food and beverage Tips: They add a 22% service charge to all bills. I genuinely do not understand the high ratings for this salon after my experience. I paid $75 before tip for a "spa pedicure" that lasted barely over 30 minutes, left my toenails uneven and misshapen, and resulted in my toe being cut and bleeding. Before the service even started, I specifically mentioned that my biggest concern was being cut. That exact thing still happened. The technician used cuticle scissors on my toenails, pulled at thin nails instead of properly trimming them, left scrub residue on my legs, and sent me out the door with nails that looked unfinished and uneven. Several nails were completely different lengths and shapes, including nails that were not damaged to begin with. What bothered me even more was the salon's response afterward. Instead of taking accountability for the quality of the service, they blamed the condition of my nails from previous gel use. I had already explained the condition of my nails before the service began and she assured me it was not an issue she deals with it all the time. If my nails were supposedly too damaged to safely or properly perform the pedicure, that should have been communicated upfront instead of taking my money and giving me a result that honestly looked worse than when I walked in. I also clarified that the pre-existing chip in one toenail was NOT what caused me to bleed. The cut happened separately during the service and on a completely different toe. At this price point, I expected professionalism, attention to detail, and basic care. Instead, I left with uneven nails, a cut toe, and an email response that felt more focused on defending the service than resolving the issue. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this salon for nail services to think twice. There are too many salons charging premium prices to risk walking out with results like this.
