Avoid the headaches of trying to find the RIGHT barber and come to E'voluer Barber STUDIO. Studio…read moreas in where artists work. Your precision cut, seamless shave and sophisticated style will be a reflection of the seriousness of their craft. Located in the historic African American neighborhood, King Lincoln District, this studio was built and designed by the owner/barber. You can tell he put a lot of pride, thought, money and effort in to it. There are big comfortable chairs, big screen TVs, snacks and products for sale. Beside the owner there are two other barbers, one of which is also a stylist. It's always a good sign when other barbers come here for a haircut. The owner has creds. Been in business over 25 years, has a long list of long time clients that have followed him from other shops. This would not be a "pop-up". You know, here today, gone tomorrow. Business is good. The studio is closed on Wednesday and Sundays. You can walk-in on the other days, but just know Thursday and Friday are the busiest days and you may find yourself waiting longer than you want. If that is the case, the "man talk" is great. Topics like politics, cooking, sports, TV shows, vacations, etc. Nothing off limits. Its hard not to join in. ( I can't help myself, I always add my 2 cents.) Also, each barber is top notch. You can wait for one you prefer, or try one of the others. You can't go wrong.

When I asked if it was cheaper if I just got a touch up, like a trim on the side, whoever was on the other side of the phone laughed at me very rudely. Needless to say I will not be going there. First impression of the people that work there is rude. There are places that charge less if you just get touchups. Obviously they don't and they'll think you're stupid for asking.

Blake Thomas is one of the barbers at Rathbone Barbershop. I had him cut my hair twice before…read more(after having arrived recently in Dublin). To make this short: Blake had called a day before a Monday appointment at 2:45, to change this to Tuesday, 2:45. My wife and I rearranged our schedules for Tuesday, 2:45. When we arrived, Blake was cutting hair on someone and told me he couldn't cut my hair, that he had assigned me to another barber - female. My wife and I have personal boundaries and religious beliefs concerning physical contact by the opposite sex. I calmly said "Not gonna happen", and my wife in the background quietly said the same thing. Blake became very perturbed and asked if 4:30 was ok. We both agreed, left and drove home to attend to matters we were going to complete after my cut at 2:45. We had to struggle through rush hour traffic to return to the barbershop. When we arrived at 4:35, the doors were closed, the lights were shut off and no one was there. I texted him on my frustration over the whole matter and said I would be a loyal and valuable customer - UNTIL he wrote back and verbally assaulted my wife. He said she was uncontrolled and that our beliefs on non-contact were silly. That, "just because the other barber was a woman, and that her cutting my hair would result in some sort of unprofessional or inappropriate interaction is incredibly insulting." His manner was very unprofessional. For a barber to verbally attack and demean my wife is not acceptable. Please be aware of his sexism, and over-exaggeration. His immaturity not only comes out in his actions and unprofessionalism, but his cuts are average anyway.
