Have been coming to Baron since day 1. Still the best and only "real" barber shop in New Albany. Yes, they can get busy on their high volume days, but that is to be expected. They do appointments on Wednesday's if you need it. But, most true barbers don't offer appointments. So come on if have a complementary coffee or soda, and enjoy some great conversation and company while you wait. read more

Just happened...called at 613pm. Told Josh I was 30 mins away. Asked if I came in before 7, like 645, would I get cut. He responded yes, not by him but there are two other barbers here cutting until 7. So again I asked as long as I'm there before 7 I'll be seen...he responded yes. Showed up at 647. Both Miranda and black dude said they were closed. Told them I called and drove a half hour from Pickerington. Didn't care and blamed it on Josh, who I spoke to on the phone. Listen, if your open til 7, you take every customer until the clock hits that time! If your employees want to leave by 7 then your hours should end at 630. Needless to say I'm pissed! Been going here for 5 years and two barbers that have been there for about a year close the place at 645. Really bad taste in my mouth! Pathetic to say the least! Do not go to Betsy, absolutely butchered my hair. Asked for a taper fade, got no guard shaved all the way up, asked to just trim the top, got cut so short its essentially a buzz cut, then she tried cleaning up my eyebrows and one is half gone. Would have been better off going to great clips read more

You'll Leave Feeling Like A King Meticulous. Thoughtful. Perfectionist. Those are just the first three words I would use to describe Jake. I sat in his chair for about 90 minutes for a Presidential shave and the experience was like nothing else I've ever had. Jake took the time to explain everything that was going on, why he was doing it and if you listen, can teach you a thing or two about your mug. Pay attention to this man. He knows what he's doing and he will be going places -- very big places. I'm glad I can say, "Hey. I got a shave from that guy back when..." Educated. Precise. Personable. Just three more ways to describe Jake. Seriously, when you sit in his chair, you will quickly feel like YOU are his reason for being; the only client; the only reason that chair is sitting there. He never once rushed. He paid very close attention to my 'trouble spots' and did everything possible to make sure they go away -- including giving me lots of options and suggestions to improve my own habits to make sure they never come back. I will be back. And I'll make sure I need a cut and a shave next time. The Noble Baron is a hidden gem in New Albany. But with service like this, it's not going to remain hidden for much longer. This is one of my favorite spots in the world. Why aren't more hair salons like this!?!? Big, cozy waiting area, free coffee and tea while you wait, walk-in super friendly, fun and friendly staff. I suppose the difference is that this is a converted house and there's a focus on men's hair... It has a great feel to it. A stylist named Miranda just fixed my hair pretty darn good! She was able to repair what someone else did, somewhere else. Very pleasant to be around too. I will be back. read more

I happened to be on this side of town when my son reminded me he needed a haircut. I did some searches and found the Noble Baron, a proper yet laid back barber shop with great reviews. We stopped in on a Thursday evening around 5:40ish and had no wait, got right in. The place is clean and friendly and Josh was great with both of my boys, ages 14 and 7. As for the haircuts, they were perfection. You don't realize just how bad a terrible haircut looks until you get a great one. The only downside? Their new little men haircuts make them look so grown up, which Mom never likes. ;). Great place, worth the drive across town. I will definitely be bringing my boys back. read more

This place is AMAZING! Im not the kind of guy that gets easily worked up over barber shops but I have been to quite a few. Noble Baron is easily the best I have ever been to. The price ($16) was pretty good especially considering you also get free snacks and coffee from their keurig machine. They even had free complimentary donuts the morning I went in. The cut was great too. My wife told me she thought it was the best i've ever had and her opinion is really the only one that counts : ) read more

I would have given a 5 star because of the friendly staff but I can't deny the extremely long wait times (which I know can't be prevented) and I felt like I was rushed and sped through the barber chairs. Good haircut, cool atmosphere, excellent value! I had heard about Noble Baron from my neighbors and finally decided to give it a go. I was very pleased with the experience and the result. I did not have too long of a wait (as did one of the other reviewers), but since they only take walk-ins for haircuts, I can foresee longer waits when very busy. However, the provide plenty of amenities (coffee, hot cocoa, infused water, books, big screen TV) that I wouldn't mind having to wait awhile. My haircut was really well done, which was a relief b/c some not so great haircuts had turned me off of some other local shops. The straight razor neck shave was a nice touch which reminded me of the barbershop where I used to go growing up. I look forward to trying one of their straight razor shaves in the future. Cost is a little bit more than the chop shops, but you get a better, more professional experience. read more

I got my first hair cut at the Noble Baron today because of being fed up with Greatclips, every time I would leave getting my haircut I would feel like I just wasted my money because of the poor quality job. I usually go to a barber in Gahanna but for a time I worked down the street from this shop so I went there. It's very nice with a lot of decor, reading material, and sports on TV. This place feels like a man cave, which is a good thing. The barbers are always nice and professional. There's usually a wait (but that could be any barber shop you go to), so just go expecting that. There are a lot of grooming products for sale but I can find them cheaper in other places. Free drinks while you wait. My star deduction comes from the prices and parking. Their cost is on the higher side but it's New Albany and you can see the investment they've made in the place. In all fairness they do go the extra mile with a straight razor on the neck, hot towel, neck massage, and styling. Parking can be a challenge sometimes since they only have a few spots in the side lot and a few spaces on the street (right out front). You can usually find something close but if there's a lot going on downtown it can be a challenge. For that reason I'd recommend you go on a weekday - they are open until 7:00, so that's possible (be aware they are only open until 2:00 on Saturday and are closed Sunday). Overall I enjoy this shop and I'd still be going if I was closer to them. read more

PROFESSIONAL! I took my 18 month son for his first "big boy" haircut. I didn't want to go to the overpriced kiddie cutters where you pay for flashy lights. I'd rather pay for a quality haircut. We arrived and were treated the same as any grown man walking in. When it was our turn the barber didn't seem annoyed or flustered that he got stuck with the baby. Instead a stuffed animal appeared along with a booster and a small cape. A few minutes later my sons long saggy baby hair was out of his eyes even around his ears was perfectly trimmed (which is amazing considering my son never stopped moving).
