I gave Matt clear instructions about exactly what I wanted and showed him reference photos before the cut. However, the final result did not reflect the level of detail or precision I asked for. The sides and areas around my ears were left uneven, and the blending and overall finishing lacked the attention to detail I expected. The photos show the final result. For a $103 visit, especially after clearly communicating what I wanted, I expected significantly better quality. I'll be returning to my original barber.

They're all great guys dedicated to the service. The barber shop itself is very unique. The places just gives off that desired vibe you get from a men's barber shop. It's affordable, even for a college student, close to campus, and always has great results.

What was a forty-minute appointment felt like fifteen, as I simply felt so comfortable chatting with her on a variety of subjects while she managed to do wonders on my shaggy mop. The shop itself is nice and clean, and there's a large TV you can look at if you're not feeling chatty. Everyone was wearing masks, so they clearly take the pandemic seriously, which is good. Payment is currently cash or Venmo, which is actually more convenient than I thought. I don't use Venmo often, but it beat having to go up to a register and check out etc. The parking situation is a little tight, though one minor bonus is that the shop is a few doors down from Si Senor, which has some amazing sandwiches. But overall, I couldn't be happier with my cut and the rapport I had with Alyssa, and I'll certainly be returning regularly as a result.
