Even if you are looking for sound advice or to do a price comparison with an online retailer. Since we moved to Monroe Township in Feb 0f 2020, Katie's has been that spot for us. Katie's has everything you could possibly need for dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, and lizards. We have always been dog people, and we like knowing that the staff at Katie's Pet Depot is knowledgeable and friendly. It is nice to be greeted at the door by store personnel. It is very simple, but it makes a difference to customers. When I walk into Katie's with or without our dog, I always get a nice welcome. Of course, when I am with our dog, I get an even better welcome, but I am used to that by now as it happens anywhere else that we go. He is just more popular than I am. Our dog eats small bags of kibble because he eats a mostly homemade diet which we supplement with kibble. For that reason, we only use about one small bag each month. Katie's has an exchange policy on dog food: if your dog doesn't like the flavor or brand you buy, you can exchange it for something else. That's good to know when you're buying premium dog food. It is good to know that if our sometimes picky dog doesn't want to eat something, we can always exchange it for something else. We have never had to do so until today. I returned a bag of food that had about 1.5 cups taken out of it. When I walked in with it, I didn't have to explain anything. I was greeted and asked if I had an exchange. That simple. I said that I did have an exchange and went to get a different flavor of the same brand of food that our dog has been eating since he came to us from the shelter in January. I brought the bag up to the front to do the exchange, and it was that easy. We trust the staff at Katie's to help us do what is best for the pets we love. He will have to stay on a prescription dog food in perpetuity and take several medications to keep his chronic stomach issues under control. Recently, we were looking to add another Golden Retriever to our home and noticed that this pet store had older 6 month old Golden Retrievers for sale. I went in and played/looked at the older male. Although I felt we wanted to "rescue" him from this store, we didn't want to play into the "puppy store" again so we continued our search into several rescues in the tri-state area. Today, while looking on Petfinder.com, I saw that the two older Golden puppies, who were for sale at the pet store only a month ago are now with a rescue group in NJ. The owner of the pet store must have felt that they aged out and didn't feel they were sellable any longer. When I called the store to speak with the manager (who promised me that they keep the dogs until they are sold) told me that they got in 12 new Golden Retriever puppies and had to let the older ones go. Please, think before you shop here. Now a rescue group is having to deal with the unwanted leftovers from the pet store. Please look elsewhere and DO NOT shop here.

OnceI was food shopping at Petsmart and I bumped into a very picky and fussy friend of mine who just got her Cocker groomed there. The pooch looked amazing! For some reason I never thought of getting grooming services at Petsmart, it's like getting a haircut in the Mall...:) Anyway, my friend recommended Alex, and I was very happy with her service as well. Alex is attentive, caring and a real expert. Morris always looks very handsome after the visit. And not just that, but he is always happy to return, that means he is treated very well. Since then many of my friends started to use her, all very happy. The place is clean and everybody is helpful and nice. Very highly recommend it!

Swung by this place (first time at a Petco) being a non-pet customer to get a bird feeder…read more Was pleasantly surprised to see some pets like guinea pigs, mice, parakeets, fishes and even chameleons on sale and their enclosures were fairly well maintained. They have a huge shop with so many pet needs and pet grooming salons. My kid had a fun time thinking he was at a zoo. The parking is huge as it's attached to a common shopping plaza.

The expo brings together a weekend of pet-themed shopping, entertainment, education, and you can spend the whole day exploring! There were over 100 vendors selling toys, treats, accessories, clothing, and so much more! Animal rescues were also there with adoptable dogs and fundraising opportunities! Attractions included doggie tricks, wiener dog races, a bird show, reptiles, a butterfly exhibit, luring course, and believe it or not, so much more! All pets are welcome, and for you cat lovers, there is a special section for you! There are food stands around to eat and sill tables to sit if you need a break.

They had reptile stuff, bird stuff, of course dog stuff and cat stuff. There's a lot of vendors but a lot of them are pretty much the same thing (treats, toys, etc). They have a luring course but you need to pay to do it and they have a treadmill your dog can run on for $5. Prices at the booths are pretty good and everything's mostly homemade/handmade. The staff and owner are all very friendly and attentive to your need, are willing to answer any questions you have and are very knowledgeable about all the products they carry. If you are looking for a particular item or brand that is not in their inventory feel free to ask them if they can order it for you. I have done this in the past with a rabbit hutch that I found online but didn't want to deal with the high S&H associated with it. I asked the owner if she could special order it for me and sure enough within a matter of minutes she was able to tell me if her supplier carried it or not and what the lead time and cost would be. It was ordered promptly and delivered to the store when promised and when I came to pick it up...they even helped me load it into my truck. This store has a large variety of wet, dry and raw foods. It also sells treats galore, holistic care products, supplements, organic cleaning solutions and shampoos/conditioners for your furry loved one, grooming and house breaking supplies, collars/leashes/harnesses/leads, pet carriers and gates, beds and clothing...the list goes on and on. Anything to spoil your family pet member will probably be found at this store. They carry products for cats, dogs, critters, birds and fish, etc. The owner hosts adoption days at the store and is very generous with donating food and supplies to local shelters. The owner and staff organize, schedule and over see - Pictures with Santa - around Christmas time, so if you find yourself always adding your family pet to your annual cards, then this is a great thing to participate in because the professional photographer lets family members sit in on the picture too. The prices are very reasonable and in addition to getting the printed photo, you are also provided with a picture file that you can use to create your Christmas cards with. Very cool if you ask me. Plus the Santa isn't cheesy looking...his costume is amazing and he looks like a "real" Santa. The backdrop for the photo is really nice too. I can tell a lot of time goes into organizing and scheduling the photo sessions so their isn't any conflict with other people's pets during your appointment. I'd recommend def. going there to check out all of the neat items and brands they carry and while you are at it, bring your pet along with you. The store welcomes pets.
