It's not possible to put into words how amazing the LUVK9 team is to us and our beloved baby, Mia, but we'll try. The bottom line is that the LUVK9 team couldn't be made up of better people and the care and love they give to Mia (and all the dogs they care for) are unmatched, as far as we can see. As for the team: We met Luis when we rescued Mia in August 2018 and we instantly were impressed by his dedication, passion, and patience for us and our new puppy. Luis took care of Mia almost everyday while we were at work, and we never had to worry that she wasn't in the best hands. He went out of his way to introduce us to new techniques and new gear selected specifically to help Mia become a better walker and listener. When Luis founded LUVK9 (then Luv on a Harness) a few months later, we knew we wanted him to continue taking care of Mia, and we're so glad that he did. We met Nyomie, Luis's better half, who meets Luis's compassion and dedication -- a feat that, if you ever have had the pleasure of meeting Luis, is hard to do. We then were lucky to meet JR, Nyomie's brother, who is equally kind and patient. The team continues to grow (shoutout to Javier) and so does the love and care that LUVK9 gives Mia. That's attributable to the caliber of person who LUVK9 brings into the family. And we know we're not alone in feeling this way about LUVK9 -- anytime we've met with other pup parents, they, too, rave about LUVK9. We're not surprised. We trust these guys with our "first born" and can't imagine not having them in our lives. As for their service, it's obvious to anyone who sees them that they love what they do and go about it professionally. I do not know where we would be without LUVK9, Luis, Nyomie & JR. I had a 12 week Aussie mix that refused to walk down the street, would attack the leash, would not go near the crate and was nipping excessively. After a week of trying to watch videos and figure out training on my own I knew I needed help. I spent a day researching all the dog walkers/trainers in and around Hoboken and I kept going back to LUVK9. Their approach to training & walking specifically catered to our busy, people/children/dog filled city was exactly what we needed. Chuck needed to learn how to be a puppy in Hoboken and I needed to learn how to guide him in doing that. I reached out with and within a few days we stated daycare. Words cannot describe how lucky my wife and I were to come across Luv K9 almost 3 years ago when we were training our mini bernadoodle (Loki) and needed a daily walk! Luv K9 is easily the best dog walking company in Hoboken. Luis and his team care so much about the dogs and genuinely treat our dog Lola like one of their own. Lola freaks out with happiness, squealing with excitement when any of the walkers come to pick her up, especially Luis and JR, and she doesn't even do that for us! They all know the dogs' individual personalities so well and always communicate any time our dog isn't acting like herself. They also aren't one of those dog walker companies that just drop the dogs in the dog park which was so important to us because we've seen plenty of issues with dog fights when walkers don't care and don't pay attention. They give them amazing walks where they're always focused on the dogs' safety and when they do take them to play, it's in their own yard where they're interacting with the dogs and watching them closely, not just on their phones like we've seen so many walkers in Hoboken do. They are great at communicating with us and always try to be flexible. They've even jumped in a few times when we've had emergencies without us even having to ask. We've also boarded with them a number of times, including once for over a week, and our dog always comes home happy and healthy and they send us tons of updates and pictures throughout her stay. After being referred by friends we have worked with Luv K9 for doggy daycare, 1:1 training, and boarding every step of the way since bringing home our puppy Ruth in 2022. They are extremely committed and passionate about their work and they simply love dogs. We love the holistic approach that the Luv K9 team takes. One of the greatest blessing of my year, next to adopting my pup, is finding Luv K9. Nyomie, Luis, and JR could not be more compassionate, knowledgeable, or caring than they are. They each have loved my puppy (stubborn attitude included!) since they have met him and have treated him with nothing but love and respect. They welcomed him to the pack since day one and have had so much patience and determination navigating his very strong personality. They are so skilled and he truly is a completely different puppy since he has started working with his crew. He now will even walk into his crate to relax throughout the day when he needs, whereas before it was a struggle to get him to even go in the crate and not panic. We've been using Luv K9 since 2020 (back when it was just Luis and Nyomie) for walks, daycare, and boarding. Both of our pups, Elphie and Mochi, LUV them so much that they happily leave with them to go on walks even when we're home. Luv K9 has changed our lives! Our first rescue dog was having issues being aggressive towards other dogs. Luis and Nyomie trained Pancho and had him walking in a pack in no time. They also worked with us on how to train and walk him on our own. Luis, Nyomie, JR are so trustworthy and dependable. i would truly be lost without them. my dog poe has become so much more confident in her walks and being outside since i started with them in Oct. i have been stuck at work and in other situations and they went right to her when i needed them. they go above and beyond each and everytime. poe gets 5 walks a week with them and she enjoys every second. if you want a dependable company and for your dog to be happy while you're busy working or doing something book them. Our greyhound has been getting walks with Luv almost every weekday since 2021 and Luis' team is stellar! They're consistent, attentive, and responsive.
