The menu is pub grub and I thought pretty average to be honest. Of the three meals we had I thought two were pretty ordinary. The atmosphere however is great and it is well patronised by locals. The toilets are diabolical but no worse than most pubs, and a nice looking beer garden must be good in summer.

They serve hot food and some cobs and snacks during the day. Lots of people rave about the quality of the ales on tap including Batham's, Enville and Holden's. Yet The Waterfall can get very busy at times and it is tricky to get served and find a seat.

The staff were very attentive without being over powering, the young lady tending to us was very pleasant and struck up a rapport with us very quickly. The bar staff have an endless knowledge of the products on sale and are obviously all real ale fanatics themselves. They are very friendly, polite and easy to approach. If you haven't experienced the Black Country way of drinking then give it a go :) The pub usually just has the landlord as bar staff (though at busier times you may see an extra helper) who knows all the locals by both name and "usual" from the bar. Although on entry the bar is fairly basic lager, ale, stout, scratchings, crisps and house spirits it's the way the experience comes together; there's always a friendly vibe and a nod of "how do?" from the locals when you enter, the ale is near perfect from the taps every pint (also helped be being one of my favourite ales - Enville!). TV channels on the flat screen can be changed at request and if you don't fancy the wooden clad bar room there is the slightly plusher lounge or the smoking shelter / mini beer patio out back. Expect a full range of Bathams beer - my personal favourite is the bitter but the mild is very good too.
