Since my initial visit to the Lutley Oak, the pub had moved away from it's original chain (which I can't remember) and now stands as a 'Flaming Grill' establishment.
Priding itself more on food than it ever has, the Lutley Oak now attracts an entirely new client base after its refurbishment. Located along the Stourbridge Road, linking Halesowen through to Cradley Heath, Lye and Strourbridge, the pub has been somewhat transformed over the years, from the locals den to what it is today.
It seems to be a more welcoming place now, with a much warmer atmosphere, accompanied by friendly staff. The food served is of a good, typical pub standard, as you would expect from the majority of 'Flaming Grill' establishments.
As you would expect from the chain, grilling is considered their forte, with fairly reasonable prices on the food, with some great deals to be found during the week.
Overall, decent food accompanied by typical pub priced drinks leaves the Lutley Oak as a good destination for an evening meal or even a mid-week/weekend football match with some mates. read more
