He was there a long time trying to get the right combination of crumpled bills and loose change to cover the cost of the bottle and I was reaching in my wallet to give him a 5 when he got the last bit from his many pockets and paid. The clerk was so kind, so patient and so sweet to this man. It made me smile from the inside out to know that there are still those who love their fellow man and can be kind at a time when it would be easy to have been harsh of word or action. So while I'd return for the selection on a future trip, I'd also be there for the kind and patient service, too! BRAVO!

We went home with 2 of the 3 bottles we tasted ... and spent almost an hour browsing through all of the fun finds available. I honestly would return for the tastings alone - what a fun experience! The owner personally walked us through the different grapes and notes of each wine selected. Not to mention, you receive a small discount if you purchase any of the bottles being sampled. The prices are affordable for any budget, and this is definitely the place to pick up a bottle of something you've never heard of before. The wine is arranged by region and by grape, and the liquor is arranged by type. They even have a small fridge full of cold beer from local brewers. My server had one of the large groups, which usually means that as a lone patron you get little attention. Not the case here, multiple servers would check in on me. As I watched the floor, I could tell this was just the culture of the business. My server and another one that waited on me confirmed this, they talked about they all covered for each other as well as managers and owners jumping in to bus tables and help, and doing it happily. She told me I could only take "one or maybe two" because they "save them for customers," completely disregarding that their own employee out back told me I could come in and take what I needed. When I told her that, she just got a terrible attitude and asked "what guy?" as if I was supposed to know his name. Her attitude was incredibly uncalled for and outright rude. I ended up just throwing the box back onto their pile and walking right out. If this is how they treat people, they can keep their boxes and their liquor. I won't be back.
