The staff and trainers are personable, trustworthy, and make it very known they want you to reach your goals just as much as you do, if not more. There is always positive energy and the friendships that I made were unbeatable. The classes that are offered are also a huge benefit, despite the workouts, the group aspect brings everyone closer and the bonds are emaculate. The 24 hours access is amazing especially if you do not go to the gym at the same time each day. I highly recommend this gym and this location!!

The reason for 4 stars out of 5 is that the parking lot can get very crowded and they only have one set of water fountains. During peak hours you will likely have to weave around cars that park in non-designated parking spots and you will have to park over near the old Joanns fabric store building. They do have an overflow lot just west of the building and recognize that it's a problem but that area fills up too. I still feel for what you are paying for that it's not inconvenient enough to look elsewhere. Equipment is never broken. It is clean, new and gets the job done.

I travel all over the country, which makes having a PF membership a great deal. After visiting…read moredozens of PFs from coast to coast, I can say definitively that this is one of the very best. They're very quick to fix broken machines and maintain them in good condition. Everything is spaced out nicely and they've recently added more Smith Machines in place of unused cardio machines (THANK YOU). What's more, I hate the Matrix machines, and this PF almost entirely has Life Fitness equipment. The employees are friendly and keep themselves busy keeping the place clean. Anything above your head does get very dusty, but unlike other PFs, I haven't had any of it fall on me. The best part of this PF is the lockers. I have no idea why newer PFs don't have the Keyless1 lockers, but very few do. This one has a bunch, and it's very much appreciated. To make this PF perfect, they need to add the hack squat machine that's going into a few PFs. That would round out this PF and make it the best.

There was also an evening class for introduction to the facility. I tried to sign up on line but I could not. I went to the facility and was told they never have AM classes and their ONLY trainer was on vacation for a week so no classes would be offered. It seemed the staff at 93rd and Quivira was dismissive and not very welcoming. They kept trying to put me off and talk with anyone else who walked up without finishing the discussion with me. I felt they did not really care if I was a member or not.

This gym is more interested in selling classes in addition to the membership. You don't have to…read morejoin the classes, but the problem is when the classes take up all the usable space and members are left with little to none. For example, youth swim lessons and water aerobics take up the entire pool area on Saturdays, making it impossible if you would like to swim laps. "Alpha" fitness classes have two areas that take up a significant portion of the upstairs gym, and they run classes constantly. On top of all this, the equipment that is left for members to use (i.e. benches and machines) are old and falling apart. I personally had a pin slip from an adjustable bench when I had it set to incline for bench press. I fell back with it and chipped my tooth. For the money you pay and for the money they add for extra classes and "events", they should really have better stuff for the general membership. It presents as though little regard is given to the overall members.
