I purchased online 2 window well covers from Lustercraft Pastics. The online ordering process was easy and quick. I received the shipment within a few days. And I found the product of high quality but the measurements were a little short. I measured my windows for height, width, and depth. The measurements of the well covers met the measurements of my window wells. However, because the web covers are round (bubble shape) there was a little opening on both sides that were not enclosed by the covers. The cost of the covers are $116 and the shipping charges are $105.84. I called Lustercraft to get return authorization and learned that I was responsible for the return shipping cost. The Sales Manager, Tiffany Lewis, pointed out that the return policy on the website states, "...unless approved buyer pays return shipping." I understood that "unless approved" means return shipping has to be approved by them prior to shipping back. So, I contacted them for a return label like so many other online vendors. Tiffany Lewis did not explain what conditions warrant approval for return shipping cost to be paid by them. I apparently did not meet the required conditions. Ms. Lewis told me I would have to pay the return shipping cost. I have already paid $105.84 for shipping and it seem foolish to pay another $105.84 return shipping for a product that cost $116. That would be over $210 in shipping fees fora product that cost $116. In fact, $105.84 is the lowest of the range of shipping options that went as high as $1,000.
I will not recommend Lustercraft Plastics to anyone because the shipping cost options are extremely costly and their return policy on the website does not make it clear under what conditions Lustercraft will approve return shipping. I am stuck with a product I can not use.
