However, I am waiting still for my TRIAL contacts from an appointment I had over 2 weeks ago. When I call I am given every bit of run-around they can. I've been told it was only 5-7 business days, then 7-10 business days, and I was informed my trial contacts were not even ordered until 8/11. This has been most frustrating, I have called almost daily this past week for updates. It's unfortunate to have a great set of doctors and a barely functioning office staff.

He is very knowledgeable, honest and shares a wealth information with you. I had to go to Miami for "Corneal Cross-linking" procedure and Dr. Tratter also told me what good hands I was in for my follow up appointments and contact fittings. His "bedside mannor" is rare, and very welcoming in today's world. It's obvious he looks at my chart before he sees me and knows what to ask, look for and how he relate. Too many other Doctors have their technicians do all the work and they come in and give their 2 cents and exit quickly. I have never felt rushed, or have ever felt like he was rushed either. My daughter and I have been going to Dr. Weber for the past two years, and every visit has been a great experience. Dr. Weber is very friendly, but what I appreciate most is that he takes his time to listen and answer all of our questions. You never feel rushed or like you're just another patient going through an assembly line. His two staff members are also incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. The atmosphere of the office is very personalized and relaxed. It doesn't feel commercialized, which is becoming harder and harder to find these days. As a self-pay patient, I also feel that his exam pricing is very fair. My only complaint isn't about Dr. Weber or his office at all--it's the outrageous cost of prescription glasses in general. It's hard to believe that we're living in a world where a pair of prescription glasses can easily cost $800 or more. Unfortunately, that part of the experience can be a real financial burden. I hate that I'm leaving a bad review...I've been going to I-Care Optical for many years. I believe…read morethat is the problem- I wouldn't go out of my comfort zone. Well I'll talk about this year's visit. I went in about 3 months ago to get new glasses. They didn't put prism in. I had questioned if they did or not because they just seemed different, though they were very different frames so when someone said yes it's there and I paid for it, I assumed it was there. I went back in to get another exam recently because I was having visual problems, and Efre took me seriously and told me I have glaucoma. Ok, I thought, that explains the vision and I'll learn more at a specialist. The specialist was a terrible experience, but someone there did say there wasn't prism in the lenses...so back to Efre for another referral and to get them checked out. I'm not upset at all by the prism mistake- it happens. And if it hadn't happened I might have put off the glaucoma symptoms as migraines, etc...I have been upset by the rude arrogant attitudes of the women working in the office and mostly by the damage done to my frames. My NEW frames. There are scratches over the nose bridge, and globs of glue or something along the bottom. I was also told by one that I would drop them off at 9am and pick them up an hour later...that day when I came in I was told by another that I had to wait until 1pm to pick them up. I have never waited all day for lenses to be done...and they didnt call me when they said they would, I called them half an hour later and got told it will still be 10 minutes. Anyway, the doctor is ok. He is polite, intelligent, competent. But the problem comes when the doctor is overcompensating for the assistants. I-care optical really needs to re-think their staff. The selection of frames is also rather boring and my size is never there...possibly overpriced. I've been ordering online.

I had my five year-old's appointment today, I'm glad they open at 8 AM because we were in and out of there with him getting to daycare by 9 AM. My five-year-old is very energetic. I feel like everyone who saw him did a great job directing his energy at the task at hand. It is not easy to give a five year-old an eye exam, but I felt like they did everything they normally do with me and didn't find it daunting to make sure he was paying attention. I really appreciate it how they took the time to answer all his questions and just genuinely seemed to find him interesting and not annoying. Dr. Lee did a good job keeping up a study stream of speech to occupy his attention while conducting the exam. At the end of the day, his eyesight fell into the realm of normal, but it was really great to have this full check since it is a very quick one of the pediatrician. I really appreciate how they automatically make an appointment for you next year at the same time. In the waiting room they have toys, I actually think the toys were new because I didn't see them at my older son's check last year. It was a great addition because my younger son happily played with the toys until he was called back, which wasn't that much time at all. If you are looking for an Eye Doctor for either yourself or the kids, I highly recommend this one.
