The shellac went all over my skin, the girl next to me said they cut her toe- and another girl walked in complaining of her shellac lifting after only 2 days. Yes they are cheaper than other places but you can't put a price on avoiding a nail infection or cleanliness!

Ever since I've been a client, I have had one problem after another. Chipped and split toe nails (they are happy to paint uneven edged toe nails) skin infected nails needing a course of antibiotics (because they draw blood with equipment ? unhygienic), now I have a fungal infected nail which they were happy to just put a fresh acrylic over (absolutely the wrong thing to do - chemist advice - unless you want to lose the nail). I have never had this happen to me before and have had acrylics for about 16 years. If you dare to bring anything like this to their attention, you will find they deflect all responsibility and actually try to blame the client for comming in with the problem and about that point they try to tell you that YOU are wasting their time! That's if you can communicate through their considerable language problem. Yes they are less expensive than many 'salons' but save yourself these problems and NEVER walk through their doors. If there was a government regulator or association I could report them to I WOULD. Hence, this is why they safely take NO responsibility for their actions. Westfield Miranda (post billion $ refurbishment) I hope you also take note and rid the centre of this unhygienic, and irresponsible business and their 3rd world hygiene and business practices.

The front of their store is set up with tables for manicures, comfortable lounge chairs with the foot spas to soak your feet into, and a few separate back rooms to cater for waxing. Prices are very affordable and the quiet of the salon is something I personally look for. The place is quiet and perfect to relax while you get your manicure and/or pedicures, facials, tanning, permanent French, gels, acrylics or waxing, Joanne's makes sure you feel a hundred times better leaving than when you walk in.

Comparatively, the prices are a little cheaper than inside the shopping centre (but not by much!) and they cover a whole range of treatments including microdermabrasion, semi-permanent eyelashes, spray tanning, laser and the usual waxing, facials, manicures, pedicures and spa therapy. It's also taken me a year to grow my brows back from patchy straight lines. I was drawn in by the lower prices but so wasn't worth it for rushed, lack of knowledge service and ruined eyebrows/nails. I was so excited to get my first pair of eyelash extensions for a holiday only to be roped in to getting a lash lift because my eyelashes were too flat then only to find out later you should never attach eyelash extension to a lift as when your lash being to drop the extension pulls away from the lash, though I never found out about that first hand because my extensions fell out after two days! Devasted. I also visited the salon to get my SNS soaked off only to be tortured with the pain of getting them individually ripped off with nail clippers. Well I could of done that, another 5 months of growing back healthy nails. Don't go here unless you want to be ripped off with unnecessary treatments by an unqualified beautician, pretty sure the owner is the only one qualified and she then trains the other girls.
