The service was good, they did lack a little in communication and I did find myself always being the one who had to get in touch but they did produce the most perfect flowers for my wedding, could not be happier!! read more

I do however, absolutely love the gifts and home wares. This store is a beautiful little store off Junction Road, it is right down the end of Colmslie Plaza, so you might miss it if you don't look out for it. Gorgeous woven baskets and decorative outdoor iron furniture. I particularly likes a gorgeous olive pot plant. The prices are fair and some of the flowers are actually very well priced compared to some of the other flower stores out there.

Bouquet Boutique is my hands down favourite florist in Brisbane…read more (and makes for a super fun tongue twister to boot!) Although seen as an expensive practice to some, I love it when my house is brimming with blooms. ...And being perfect as a gift or a pick me up I can recommend no other place for those flowery fancies than this little New Farm store. In my mind a good quality bouquet is one that lasts a decent amount of time and doesn't flake out and die on you the morning after purchase. (I'M LOOKING AT YOU SUSPICIOUS BEGONIAS FROM COLES.) ...I can happily say that some of these fresh bouquets have spent a merry week or more at home without looking to bedraggled or woebegone. As well as boasting a modern and unique perspective on floral arrangements, they also offer cool services like bringing in your own vases for custom bouquets and can build an arrangement based on your individual tastes. Located very handily on the corner of Brunswick & Merthyr, Bouquet boutique is well worth a gander when in New Farm.

I ran in and ran out with the most gorgeous blood red lily's in the whole entire world. Okay, not world, maybe Brisbane because I haven't seen them anywhere else. Lily's were her favourite flower and red meant good luck in chinese! Yay great combination. Geraldine the owner smacked the bunch together for me so quick, so professionally and so effortlessly you can tell she was a pro. I am so thankful for her accomodating me, not wanting a pre-prepared bunch either. And yes, some were only half open but these suckers lasted a few weeks. Great little florist in New Farm. Saved me many times!
At the risk of being overtly cliché, Divine Flowers is actually that: divine. I think 'luxury…read moreflorist' is an apt name for them; the giftware and flowers they sell are more than your generic pots and arrangements. Every arrangement I see at Divine is beautifully crafted and presented so it looks like a masterpiece. You can choose something really simple like a gerbera arrangement and they still craft in a way that makes you realise you could never do it yourself. The flowers are really high quality and they make them according to what's in season at the time. The homewares are simple and very lovely, and they utilise their space well to showcase such a gorgeous array of flowers. They also wrap the flowers beautifully and throw in some plant food. I bought one stem to brighten my house and they were so lovely and treated me like I was buying an expensive bouquet. Such a gorgeous shop. Divine offers a great choice for weddings, Valentine's Day, Mothers' Day, anniversaries, whatever you need. Their flowers are absolutely beautiful and they obviously take the utmost care arranging them perfectly. Worth every penny in my opinion. They also do delivery at a cost according to different zones.

There selection of plants, flowers and arrangements were simple but effective. I particularly liked their succulents growing in a glass bauble you could hang from your tree or anywhere else in your house to make it more festive. The prices at this place were not cheap however. I particularly noticed this in relation to the potted herbs they also had on sale. There are many places in Brisbane where you could get the same for less. The main draw card of Divine Flowers really is their divine floral arrangements and earthy decor available. Just browsing through this shop will make you feel relaxed and happy and they are the perfect place to pick up flowers or gifts that are a little more unique.

The new florist/manager didn't even bother to tell us and had no idea about our wedding and what we wanted despite exclaiming to have "20 years experience". We provided a photo but still our bouquets resembled nothing close to what we wanted and had to be sent back the morning of our wedding to be redone! They then tried to charge us an extra $500 because they stuffed up the quote which we had already paid in full. We ended up paying half just to make good as we didn't want to burn our bridges 2 months out from our wedding. I would not recommend this florist for an event, particularly a wedding!

My flowers were so beautiful and unique, in a white, old fashioned box with buckles and gold trim. It had the most beautiful white and green colour scheme (my fav colours) with white lilies and an array of beautiful green flowers and leaves. One stem was actually fashioned into an 'S' shape, the first letter of my name. The arrangement was so different you could tell a lot of thought and design had gone into the arrangement and selection of flowers. Definitely worth looking into if you are after something a bit special.

I have been fairly cynical in recent times to the value for money available at the florists I'd used, so much so, that the last time I wanted an impressive array I got up at the crack of dawn and drove to the flower markets at Rocklea, but there wasn't time for that, so Flowers by the Bay it was. When I arrived to pick up the bouquet imagine my surprise when she produced two of the lovliest and most generoud selections I'd seen in a very long time. The blooms were fresh, the colours coordinated and the arrangements artistic and tasteful. I'll definitely go back next time I need to say it with flowers.

I had the hair brain idea recently to send a colleague visiting Brisbane a bunch of flowers to make her hotel room feel more home-y. I'd been wanting to order from Alba for some time and this gave me just the right excuse. Despite being overseas, I was able to seamlessly place an order with Alba via their online ordering system. Within 12 hours the flowers were in the recipients hands. At Alba Roses, not only can you indulge in having beautifully arranged flowers delivered or picked up in store but you can also pair them with a sweet trinket or card (they have a range of Rifle & Co cards for example). The florists at Alba aren't into daggy bouquets filled with baby's breath. Although I'm sure if that's what you wanted they would oblige. Ashleigh and her team are professionals. They're as comfortable with the 'just because' bouquet as they are with something grander - a wedding for example. This bouquet wasn't the grandest but she still ensured it was unique and individual. I had mentioned the recipients favourite blooms and she ensured some of these were included in the bouquet. I've been looking for a go-to florist and I'm pretty sure Alba just earned the title.

When I arrived to view the flowers before they were sent I was very disappointed that the style was not appropriate for the recipient and not what I had imagined at all. I guess this was due to semantics and communication, expectations and assumptions. I was impressed that the girls in this florist (including Phoebe) didn't try to convince me that this bunch was in fact appropriate. Instead, after some apologies for crossed-wires about expectations they sprung into action to create a new bunch very much different from the first. They did well to stay patient and attentive despite me being a very contrary customer. I guess it pays dividends to bow to customers wants and needs because - well - here I am now singing their praises. I'm sure many florists would have railroaded me into accepting the first bunch or tried to alter it slightly. I was very pleased they wiped the slate clean and started again.

Honestly, a lot of that had to do with the store's minimal nature. Still, you can't really go wrong with fresh flowers, and this place has those.
