I remember being a young girl growing up in Kenmore and being fascinated by the flower presentation that this florist would create, thankfully these creations are still around. The bouquets at this florist are not cheap- starting price would be $25 and can go up to the hundreds for the really exquisite ones. You can really tell the difference between a bouquet from this store and one you could by at Coles. You will get no wilted flowers, broken stems, or colour-less flowers from the bouquets at Kenmore Village Florist; all the flowers look healthy and look like they could stay that way for a few days. A recent addition to the store is the inclusion of homewares. Back when the store was a third of the size, only a few little homewares could be found in the store. Now you can get outside table and chair sets, garden decorations and all sorts of ornaments- all you count want to host a garden party. I received a table and chair set for Christmas one year and I love it! Kenmore Village Florist really know how to make flowers look so aesthetically pleasing. This florist knows how to look after their flowers and create impressive bouquets.

I ordered a dozen roses (from the US) and a small box of chocolates ($150 AU) for my partner's birthday. When the roses arrived, they were completely open and wilting at the edges. When roses are fully open, they are on their way out. After three days, they were in the bin. Those roses should have been in the deep discount fridge, or have never made it our the door. My partner took pics of the flowers on arrival. It was obvious the flowers were past. I was not happy, and I later complained via email. The florist responded that there had been a heat wave (normal for Queensland), and that care instructions were not followed. The lack of pride in their product, and the lack of accountability is a sad way to run a business. My partner and I have decades of experience with cut flowers, and we're experienced gardeners. For the florist to imply we were to blame was insulting. The florist did offer for us to pick out some different flowers, but we were put off by the response, and didn't bother. What I wanted was a dozen fresh flowers to arrive on my partner's birthday.

The entrance make this place appear small from the outside, but inside is a whole other story. It is bigger than I thought and jam packed with a variety of beautiful plants and decorative ornaments. Also, lots of pretty umbrella's for sale here! When I walked in recently, the staff at the desk was initially not facing my way as she was doing work, but quickly turned around to wave and greet me 'hello'. It was so lovely of her to make the effort! As I walked through the nursery picking some plants and flowers, the wonderful man gardening the plants turns around to ask, how's my day and if I needed some assistance. I reassured him, that I'm fine and happy to browse around. I cannot stress enough how kind and helpful the staff at this nursery are. If not for the wonderful plants, then visit for the best shopping experience for gardens and nurseries. It would cheer up anyones day!
