Having been disappointed by my usual florist the last two times I decided to take a chance on someone new. As I needed two bunches of flowers for my uncle's funeral (one for the casket and one for my aunt), I wanted something very beautiful. I called up and Kristy was more than happy to help me. Not having a clue about flowers, she was able to guide me expertly as I haphazardly try to describe what I wanted. When I went to pick up the flowers the next day, they were all I could hope for and more. The sheath for the casket was a stunning arrangement of white flowers - lillies and roses mostly - and were beautiful. The bunch for my much loved aunt was stunning and beautiful as well. The florist stayed with the 'white' theme that my late uncle wanted but the bunch had a lovely pop of colour - just enough sprinkled through the bouquet. The prices were very reasonable and I was surprised at the size of the sheath and bouquet for what I paid - they were both huge! I cannot recommend Flowers in the Field highly enough ... and yes, they are my new florist.

I had the hair brain idea recently to send a colleague visiting Brisbane a bunch of flowers to make her hotel room feel more home-y. I'd been wanting to order from Alba for some time and this gave me just the right excuse. Despite being overseas, I was able to seamlessly place an order with Alba via their online ordering system. Within 12 hours the flowers were in the recipients hands. At Alba Roses, not only can you indulge in having beautifully arranged flowers delivered or picked up in store but you can also pair them with a sweet trinket or card (they have a range of Rifle & Co cards for example). The florists at Alba aren't into daggy bouquets filled with baby's breath. Although I'm sure if that's what you wanted they would oblige. Ashleigh and her team are professionals. They're as comfortable with the 'just because' bouquet as they are with something grander - a wedding for example. This bouquet wasn't the grandest but she still ensured it was unique and individual. I had mentioned the recipients favourite blooms and she ensured some of these were included in the bouquet. I've been looking for a go-to florist and I'm pretty sure Alba just earned the title.
