We were on our way to watch a movie at NorthPark and in her rush to get out of the house, my wife burned herself. She had about a 3 inch burn on her hand that was very painful. When we arrived at NorthPark, she went to get tickets while I went to Lush. The first thing you notice when you walk is a large number of sales associates so it was easy to find someone to explain my situation. There was a large selection of hand and body lotions. The sales associate and I talked about quite a few but I still had questions so she went to get someone who I assumed was a manager. I was leaning toward a hand product with aloe but she said it had a lot of citrus and may sting. She recommended a body lotion with oat milk. So I bought a small container of that. It worked wonders! The wife said that the pain disappeared immediately. It was soothing and she loved it. I really appreciate the care and personal attention that I received. Good customer service is so hard to find these days, so Lush really came through for us and that is why I give them 5 stars. read more

Johnathan truly made our visit to Lush something special. We were browsing for a while and hadn't been approached, and while that was fine at first, my mom actually had questions. As soon as Johnathan came out from the back, he walked right up to us and asked if we needed help. He was warm, knowledgeable, and so attentive. He really listened to what each of us was looking for and matched us with the perfect products. My boyfriend and dad are excited to try what they got, and my mom, who is extremely particular and very hygiene-conscious, found things she actually loved. She was thrilled to see the vegan options and felt comfortable buying, which says a lot. What meant the most to me was how thoughtful he was. He even played bubbles with my toddler for a minute so I could browse without distraction. I came in hoping my parents might get me something, but the entire family ended up leaving with their own products. That's all thanks to Johnathan. If there was ever a company that spoke to my soul, it would be Lush. Causes they stand behind: sustainability, LGBTQA inclusivity, anti-animal cruelty, quality natural ingredients, body positivity, and fair trade (and prob more). My faves include bath bombs (intergalactic, big blue, lord of misrule, the experimenter), face masks (cup o' coffee, mask of magnaminty, dark angels), and now, shower products (yuzu & cocoa, new, jason & the argan oil). They've got everything from lip scrubs to nail polish, so you're sure to find something for yourself or as a gift! Sadly, they don't do many sales but I personally think their products are worth every penny since they're quite natural and smell divine. Still skeptical? Go binge watch their Lush YouTube videos about How It's Made and it'll seal the deal imo. Those vids are so aesthetically pleasing and fun! Lush really kills at marketing. I highly recommend everyone put their money where their mouths are and support this ethical company if they can. Walked into the North Park location and was happily greeted upon arrival! My temperature was checked, sanitizer was given, and more smiles awaited me as I fully walked into the store. Gigi, manager, was very knowledgeable and super helpful! :) We talked about their hair product, RnB [now named Revive] and how well it works for ethnic hair, very much like my natural 3c/4a hair, and her coarse coils as well. If you're looking for a light moisturizer that actually penetrates your hair strands with no hair buggers {or residue) this is one of my all time favorites. And when i say MOISTURE, i really mean it! We even talked about how they are dropping a new line that more so dedicated to ethnic hair types :) Special shout out to Darah, Angie, and Tiffany who all helped be apart of my always excellent customer service. I came in on my lunch break to buy a present for my mother in law. I was not really in the mood to talk to any associates but I'm glad Felix came to greet me. He was very warm and helpful in showing me to products that she might like. He even demoed some scrubs onto me (like a mini massage) and gave me a sample to take home. NEVER shop here. I walked in and as soon as I walked in, I wasn't greeted by anyone. All the other people in the store were greeted as soon as they walked in. I was in dire need of bath bombs for baths to soak my epsom salt in for my muscle aches. I didn't want anything too harsh on my skin. Paid a visit to lush and came out with a stock full of bath bombs. What the heck am I suppose to do with all these now? I rarely take baths because I don't like to be wasteful of water. I only do it when I need to soak in epsom salt. Their bath bombs are naturally made by hands. Seriously, if you haven't seen YouTube videos of them making the bath bombs then I highly recommend. I came here yesterday with my daughter for a mom and daughter day. It's my daughter's favorite store. If you have never been before they have some things you can try out before you buy, and makes the experience more fun. They had some moldable soap clay for kids and a plate with some on it to try out. So my daughter made a little face with the clay while we were shopping for bath bombs. One of the associates came over and took over like she wasn't even playing with it, destroyed what she was working on and started making balls out of the clay. My daughter and I just stood there kinda shocked, and I asked her if she was supposed to play with it. She said oh people always mix the colors up. It was beyond rude. You can tell the employees go through extensive training on interacting with the customers from product knowledge to customer service. I wish I would have gotten her name. I feel like she needs more training on how to treat customers. She had short sandy blonde hair, probably 5'1", tattoos on her left forearm. I've worked customer service all of my years in business, and I was turned off enough to leave this review. I usually reserve all of my reviews for on compliments on good service so that says alot. read more

I do love Lush products, but I had a frustrating experience with Lush earlier this week. I went to the Northpark Mall store because I was very excited to find out that the rose jam shower gel is now available all the time! They were out of the large shower gel and just had the small and medium bottles (which are MUCH more expensive per ounce). At other similar brand stores (Sephora, Victoria's Secret, Macy's, etc), they've shipped an item to my house for free if it's not currently in stock at that store. Rather than doing that, they told me to go to the Galleria where I could get it (after I had already driven 50 minutes to get to this store). I already had plans afterwards and had to head back to Fort Worth, so I didn't have time to go the Galleria to buy it. I thought this was an odd policy, so I emailed customer service on the Lush website. They sent me a long response that seemed copy and pasted (not very personal) saying how freshness is important to them. I didn't find this particularly helpful. I already think Lush is overpriced, but this experience makes me not want to shop there anymore. read more

We went in to buy bath bombs and one of the employees was incredibly rude. There was a bowl for demonstrations and my adult daughter tried one and the employee came over and said that it was going to be used in a later demonstration. He goes and dumps it out and as soon as he came back demonstrated to a child. Sooo. Let's reprimand a potential customer for a child... we didn't buy anything. Needless to say they lost paying customers for a demonstration for a child. Good job, Lush. read more

Last I checked, I was a heterosexual, American male. So naturally, you'd have a hard time getting me to look twice at a place like Lush Cosmetics, with its cheeky quotes, overwhelming smells, and blocks of handmade, non-animal tested soaps and bath salts. My wife, however, has no such compunctions and will gladly pay $9 for a "bar" of soap that's approximately 1/3 the size for my Lever 2000. That would typically be the end of the story- my wife doing her thing and my grumbling about the waste. However, a few weeks ago when stuck in my sister's apartment in Atlanta, I was forced to choose between liquid dove and a used loofah or some Lush soap. I tried the soap and was blown away. I never felt cleaner, and never realized how much residue Lever and those mass produced soaps left on my skin. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, though I had to tell myself that the soap had Fight Club-like origins in order to claim some sense of manhood back. Now that I'm back home, I'm back to my Lever, but I tend to grumble a little less about my wife's expenses, and have encouraged her to go back and get some more ... read more

Keli M. I owe you coffee for this one! After liking several of her and other yelpers' check-ins, I decided to give the place a pop in to see about these bath bombs everyone was mentioning. I didn't purchase any bath bombs but I did try some facial products. The Dark Angels Scrub and Fresh Farmacy facial cleanser = winner. The guy who helped me was just a peach. He gave me samples of two spot treatments that I think are working too. It hasn't been that long, but I noticed a difference almost immediately after using the cleansers. Smell is so good and tastes as a sweet heart. I love the gum bubble smell. It is very relaxing and a little mint feeling that made me fall in sleep very well after taking a bath for half an hour. LOTS of decadent things here. I used to be all about the bath bombs (especially the ones full of rose pieces and sparkles...I'm always surprised that people whine about having to clean their tub after, it's not hard and it's worth it) but these days I prefer the bubble bars and the melts. Lush, sadly, only keeps raising their prices and a lot of their other products are just too $$ for me to justify. But the bubble bars and melts I can often get 2-3 uses out of, and they always leave my skin incredibly soft (the MELTS especially). This is definitely a fun place but also a treat. GREAT place for stocking stuffers and gifts in general. I agree the overpowering smell can be a bit much but each product is intense and lovely--who wants a weak-ass beauty product? So the whole store is, by default, going to be a little pungent! It doesn't bother me, but if you have an overly sensitive sense of smell, be warned! I would also say that I'm surprised to see anyone complain about the customer service here. I've been to Lush all over the country and unfailingly, their staff is always VERY eager to help. Almost TOO helpful sometimes! (I was constantly charmed into spending more than I intended at the Cambridge store when I lived out there.) And sometimes too helpful = a little too annoying. But 95% of the time they just seem very friendly and helpful. It sucks when they're too busy and you might get ignored for a bit, but it's a small store and it's bound to happen once in a while. read more

I lost my Lush virginity back in 1999 when I visited a store on the Toronto Waterfront in Canada near Bloor Street... just a cutsie store advertising bath bombs... curiosity brought me inside and I walked out with a butterball... needless to say, I was hooked from the get go... and the fact that the products are all natural, was even better! For many years I had family mail me my monthly supply of coveted bath bombs, then voila - the Northpark Center store open and I was one of the first customers in to buy my coveted supply. Moving to Dallas is the first time I've lived anywhere with a Lush store, and it's just a couple blocks from my house. After years of loving their products online, I was really excited to get to shop there in person. I would never return to this location, though - the salespeople are really pushy. Within five minutes of being there, despite repeated protests that I knew what I was coming for and just wanted to be left alone, I was approached by at least six different salespeople. It's a tiny store. I ended up putting back my purchases and leaving without buying anything. If you are unfamiliar with Lush's offerings and want a really hands-on shopping experience this might be a great place to go, but if you already have an idea of what you want when you walk in you're probably better off just ordering online (unless you're REALLY a people person). As others have mentioned, the intensity and mixture of fragrances is also a hazard if you're sensitive to fragrance, so shopping online is a better idea for folks who are (and being careful about which products you pick - I tend to stick to the citrus-y soaps or low-fragrance face masks and such). read more

Lush is a rather earth-shattering experience. The staff at northpark make you feel welcomed and are not pushy. They seem to genuinely listen to your needs and understand what you want while also peppering in some suggestions of their own. Its really the kinda place where everyone feels welcomed and sometimes they dance on tables. I'd really recommend going and trying Love lettuce face mask, or better yet if you are curious about the products they can use them on your face right then and there so you see what it feels like! I got my Lush lesson from a friend who travels frequently - she bought me some bath bombs for a birthday ... then, once Lush made it's way to Dallas, that was all she wrote! This store is an addiction. I ventured in, looking lost and overwhelmed, because it's easy to do unless you have been there. The clerks are very friendly and give you oodles of samples and explain what products will work on your skin (after a series of questions, of course!). I am now (3 years later) addicted to the Ocean Salt (face/body scrub) and several of the bath bombs. It's a great place for gifts too - the fragrances are fresh and not gross like those from other bath stores. The ONLY reason it doesn't get 5 stars is due to price. It's a bit pricey. I'd love to use more of their products, but just can't let myself get addicted! A must try if you are in the Dallas area! read more

Handmade soaps and toiletries! The aroma of the store is really robust and powerful. Most of the time I leave unable to smell anything for like 5 min...but it's still a fun place to shop! I discover something different every time I'm there! Henna hair dye is fun to try. It doesn't last very long, so if you wanted to color your hair for a week or two, this is a great option! I love their bath bombs..extremely fragrant and leaves your skin silky smooth! My friend found these toothy tabs (solid toothpaste).. My friend recently got a job at Lush and it was the worth thing that has ever happened to me. I'd been in Lush once or twice before, but always got overwhelmed by all they offer. There's hair stuff, and face stuff, and make-up, and bath bombs - where do you start?! For starters, let them help you. When I'm shopping, I mostly just want to be left alone, but at Lush they know what they're talking about and I don't, so please, yes, help me. After trying a bunch of Lush's products thanks to my friend, and coincidentally needing to replace all my face wash/moisturizer, I've since moved to only using Lush products on my skin. It makes me feel pampered and everything smells so good. I use the ocean scrub on my face in the shower anddddddddd the other day some of it got in my mouth and I didn't really care. Love Lush. Don't get to go to North Park a lot so when I do I make sure to hit up this place. They have tons of stuff like bath bombs, facial and hair products, etc. I defiantly like their Lip Service lip balm and the Ro' Argan Body Conditioner. Every time I go in there is someone that will greet you and ask if you need any help. Also they have great packages with products for gifts. Love this place, and love Lush! Here's one reason why: There are some things we never seem to outgrow. For me (among the many) are staying up late, birthday parties, and playing in the water. What's more fun than diving into a wave, splashing (which often results in me being dunked), or simply floating on a hot summer's day? Evidently I came to this fondness for water frolic at an early age as I well remember Mom cautioning me not to play in the tub. If she could only see me now - fully grown and playing in the shower with my Big Calm Jelly! For openers, the scent is delicious. It smells like a pina colada, redolent of pineapple and coconut. And, it looks like the ocean - that is if the ocean were captured in Jello. Turquoise with strands of white remind me of waves or the frothy wake of a ship at sea. Speaking of froth Big Calm Jelly, just a little bit of it froths, foams, and makes beautiful bubbles, mountains of them. (Think Everest, K-2, Kanchenjunga!)Other bath/shower gels hang their foams in shame. Since it's summer Big Calm will be happier if kept in your freezer. I keep most of it there and just a little in a small bowl in the bathroom. After all, while I do love to play in water I don't like to drip it all over the carpet if I must run downstairs to take Big out of the freezer.
