This time we walked in and we were offered a demonstration on a bath bomb with my two year-old!! he obviously thought that was awesome. He was able to pick a bath bomb off on the shelf and Duncan in the water and got to watch all the colors. It was an amazing experience and she went above and beyond to help us and guide us in new directions. Yes, they work because we go home with a bath bomb :) Overall, yes, this place is expensive, but it is quality and they are very upfront on what their products are and how they are made ! read more

I don't know what it is about Lush.. but I love going here.. especially the location inside the Mall of America! The staff is always so welcoming and helpful, I never feel as if I am being pressured or bothered, and I swear they always come up just when I have a question or need! It's perfect! The soaps (especially the sea moss one or the lavender one) are so amazing, smell great, and are high quality.. this is my everyday soap! The sticky date body wash is another winner, it smells fresh and clean and just so decadent! The shower bombs are always a winner too, specifically the lemon ones, they give a fresh scent in the shower and just give a calming vibe. Lush also has amazing body sprays (salty is one of my favorites). I will always go here any time that I am in the mall! read more

This is a British soaps/cosmetics/toiletries shop with lots of personality. They put the word "cosmetics" up front in their identity, but despite being a dude with no need for anything that would be characterized as "cosmetics" I still think it's fun to shop here. They have lots of fragrant lotions, soaps, balms, salts, powders, and other things that are friendly to your epidermis. Lots of fun bath bombs. Nifty shower gels. Hand-cut things that look like bars of soap but are actually something else that isn't usually in that format. Sinks and sample stations where you can try stuff out, and enthusiastic staff circulating to offer assistance. It's a fun place, but prices are kind of high. Usually when I bring some of this stuff home, I am very conscious of wanting to make it last a long time, but an eight dollar bath bomb will still just get you one bath. I've been told I'm a Lush. I'm like NO. THIS STORE IS A LUSH. GET IT RIGHT. Anyway I'd much rather go to Lush than be given Kush. Good resale value but ew. Talk to an addict cause the gym rat don't wanna listen. Barbie's view: Lush makes really nice bath type products. Their Bath Bombs are popular. They also have toothpaste and shampoo and conditioner. They never test on animals, and their products are handmade and vegetarian. Their prices are slightly higher to account for their principles. Their products are great, especially the bath bombs. My view: This specific location is in the Mall of America and it's one of the most lavish and fancy that I've been to. I absolutely loved it. Excellent Lush store. There were a ton of customers and even though they were busy, multiple employees went out of their way to ask me if I needed assistance or wanted to try out a product. The employees were excellent and had great customer service as well as great conversation! They were always asking if we would like to see a product demonstrated or if we have ever seen it before. They really know the background history of Lush as well as products that were discontinued and the brand new items as well. Their recommendations were all personalized which I felt was nice because it was obvious that they used the products very often. Very impressive as far as customer service and they gave great recommendations. I would recommend to buy a bath bomb and a bar soap if it is your first time here. The natural face masks (in the small refrigerator) are also a great option. The lotions and cleansers can be a bit more pricey in my opinion, and I would stay away from these as I don't necessarily think they are any better or worse from basic drug store products. read more

Never has a store been more aptly named. Luxury is ingrained in every product they sell. They are all fair trade and natural. I love their bath bombs (intergalactic is the best one!!) And their shower gels and products are out of this world. I love that the products while strong scented, all smell incredible. If you love fruity scented things definitely check out Happy Hippie shower gel. Thr products are certainly pricey but a little goes a long way. This store is by far my favorite Lush store to go to. The staff is wonderful and friendly. We go here a lot, whenever we have a question or anything someone is always there to help. The staff is super knowledgeable. In our recent trip here my daughter found a scream bath bomb she loved but due to it having almond oil in it, she could not have it. The staff did a wonderful job at finding her some Halloween goodies that she could enjoy which was Tool and Trouble and Bat Art both have been a hit!! read more

I really like the shampoo bars at Lush. They come in a small tin so they are good for traveling and they work really well. They are very sudsy and they last forever. There are exactly two (2) bars that dont smell like hippies: the blue (ocean-y) and the green (fruity). The rest smell like dirt and tree branches so you might as well just not wash your hair. Lots of other things in Lush also smell like hippies. I have had irritated armpits (seriously) lately and so I thought maybe the aluminum and chemicals in my Secret were the culprit. They have 2 hippy-smelling deodorant bars and one that smells nice. I tried that one. It doesn't work at all but it smells like lemons so it is now a perfume bar. They should label it that way as well. The henna hair dye doesn't do anything. Once my roommate and I tried to dye her hair black (darkest) with it twice and it came out exactly the same. That's an expensive bar of failure! The rest of their products are overpriced, but I'll stand behind the shampoo bars. read more

Lush is one of those random things that I just happen to know a lot about. I've been buying their products for awhile now and have tried a lot of them. My interest has definitely subsided over time (check out the Lush forum to see just how bat shit insane some of these people are over the products) that's for sure. One thing I can say is that smelling the stuff in the store is not always an accurate representation of what it will smell like once you use it on your body. A lot of the things that I thought were absolutely vile ended up being pretty awesome once I used them. If you hate something, they have a really good return policy, so if it sounds like it would work for you and it doesn't make you barf, go for it. All of the products are vegetarian and a lot of them are vegan, which is the main reason I started using them. Don't be surprised if your skin or hair kind of freak out once you start using the products (especially ones for the hair and face) because what you buy at Walgreens is a far cry ingredients-wise from what Lush makes. They do give out samples, except it seems like they've gotten a bit stingy recently (this goes for every store, not just the MOA one.) Don't just walk up to the counter and ask for something for free because that's just rude. With that said, I am a huuuuge fan of their bath products. One thing it took me a long time to learn is that nothing is single use. Products like the bubble bars (solids that you crumble under running water to produce bubbles) or the bath bombs appear to be something you just throw in the tub and that's it. Nope, most of them last me at least 4 baths. Also, most of the solid products (like the shampoo bars, perfumes and solid face washes) last fooooorever as long as you store them properly. Considering this stuff ain't cheap, it's definitely something to keep in mind. read more

LUSH is the new love of my life. I have to restrain a strong urge to BITE into their products because they smell so naturally good and are colorful like tropical fruit and I'm moved to become one with them. All products are vegetarian and not tested on animals, so there would be no need for poison control to intervene if I did ingest a product or two. They have shampoo bars with conditioners and Jasmine is my current favorite. It is just under $10 for a shampoo bar but I've been experimenting and it's amazing how little I need to use each time - about a couple of strokes produces enough lather. One bar will last a looong time. There are cute round tins to store the bars in but once wet my tin became recalcitrant and unyielding. There's also a manly smelling shampoo-conditioner bar that sort of smells like the ocean - keeping me company until my next seaside vacation. read more

I would like to start by saying I love Lush products and have been to several stores and purchased their products through both their US and UK websites. I was on vacation in MN and I went into this store intending to buy The Comforter bubble bar and was saddened to see that they were significantly smaller than I have found in my home location as well as online. A woman came up to me and complimented my hair and asked if she could help and I stated that I was not sure if I wanted The Comforter over other bubble bars for this reason (I chuckled and made it clear that I was still intending to buy something, just perhaps not my usual... and that maybe I could use assistance) The sales rep went cold, did not offer me an alternative or say anything in response but instead went on to roll her eyes and snarl at my boyfriend when I turned to look back at the bubble bars. He informed me and we left immediately without purchasing. I have never felt so disrespected by a sales rep, nevermind in a Lush store. I wish I could recall her name so that I could complain to the manager. read more

I went here on a Monday afternoon/evening while the mall wasn't terrible. Lush as always was very busy. I went to get some more lotion and maybe get a few samples to try some things out. My mother and I ended up buying 4 or 5 things. All because of Winter. She was absolutely amazing. She knew knew a product for ever need we had, even when other locations employees simply shrugged their shoulders. She was friendly, sweet, and genuinely wanted to help us. She even got other employees involved when they would know more about a product for us. Overall the whole experience was amazing. We ended up spending at least an hour there. Much better than the 50th and France location. read more

Like Sephora and Juut, Lush is a dangerous guilty pleasure for me... the products are a little pricy, but I LOVE their handmade soaps and bath products. Service is always prompt and friendly. TLDR: Lush's face care products aren't cheap, but they work. I have been a huge Lush fan since before they became an international company; the first time I found Lush was at Covent Gardens in London, where I could smell the store from down the block. Since falling in love with Lush, I've watched their prices climb to a point I couldn't afford their stuff. Still, whenever I smell that store in any mall, I like to stop and shop because the atmosphere is so fun. Lo and behold, I could tell there was a Lush store in MoA before I could ever see it so of course I had to go in. I've been having TERRIBLE breakouts lately (even though health class and Teen Vogue told me that would go away once I became an adult), so I bit the bullet and asked about face care. The guy who helped me was so personable and knew exactly what I needed with just a few details about my skin. The prices were steep for something I may or may not like, but I am so glad I made the purchase because I can already tell a difference in my skin. I am extremely impressed, to the point that I don't mind paying three times what I usually do for products. How much do I spend combating all the different skin issues I have? If I can cut down to only a couple of products AND I can wear less makeup because my skin looks nice, doesn't that balance out the added cost? I do wish that Lush would provide more samples of their expensive face care products because $20 for a small lotion is crazy. And they even have a $45 lotion! Trying it in the store is great, but it doesn't tell you how your face will feel after a week of use. Considering the luck I've had with the stuff I bought, there is no way I wouldn't come back if they'd offered a week's worth of samples. Still, it's obvious they've hired people who know what they're talking about and so that takes some of the risk out of it. Overall, if you're having weird, unexpected skin issues and the drugstore stuff just isn't doing it, try Lush. read more

The selection is as good as any other LUSH, but this place was crammed full of people on a Sunday afternoon and it was hard to get a look at all the products. Luckily I already knew what I wanted so I was able to pick those out and put them in my basket quickly. As soon as the cashier started ringing me up, another employee appeared and began putting each of the bathbombs carefully into bags. I was a little disappointed by how SMALL the new LUSH is, but then I saw that they still have a location within Macy's so I understand a little better now. I really love LUSH products. I love that so many of them are environmentally friendly and work very well. I love the scents of so many of their products! As noted by other reviewers, the products are pricey. However, I have started experimenting with making my own bath products and will say I really don't think that the prices are too far out of line given the quality of the ingredients used. For example, just 5ml of rose absolute (pure rose scent) sells for nearly $50. And almost all of their products have several scents blended so just the cost of the SCENT is pretty high and then there are all of the other ingredients that go into each product. My other disappointment is that they didn't have any of the face products I love in their fridge. However, they did have products displayed that they were demo-ing and that sold me on 2 things I haven't tried before. I'm willing to pay a little more for products that are mostly if not completely natural and have an appreciation for how much time and effort goes into making the products. I may make my own... but I'll always treat myself to LUSH. read more

This place definitely gets 4/5 for the forward concept - natural products, no preservatives and simple packaging. What could be more trendy and good for the environment in these times? Using eco-friendly products, made from the earth and made by hand (they even have pictures of the person who made the product on the label), the store definitely gets brownie points from me. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized they sell shampoo, face wash and other products because most of the products in the store are solid. It's sort of a mind freak when you consider using shampoo and bath products in a block that you simply add water to. Okay, great concept aside - Lush lost me with the overpowering scents and odd odors. The lady in the store was very nice, super hands on and completely willing to show us how everything worked so that we could get the whole feel of the product. However, we tried almost everything in the store and I would say that on the generous side, only 1% of the products actually were appealing in smell. I would have loved to try different products that did smell pleasant, however the prices were really high. Ultimately, I walked out of the store, with an odor headache and deeply hoping that this place can lower their prices and come up with more products that I actually like. When the time comes, my rating will change and my house will be filled with weird bath products that you add water to. read more

I have been a big Lush fan since a friend sent me some of their stuff as a gift when I lived overseas. This is a nice Lush location and everyone here is really friendly and helpful. I like that they are informed about ingredients, so that if I don't want a bar of soap with certain chemicals in it, they are able to tell me which will work. It's also just a really funky place to shop and I like the brand's attitude a lot; I can't get enough of their shower emotibombs and I slavishly use their sugar scrubs and body butters. That said, some of their soap scents can be hit or miss for me, but for the most part, I love that their shea/cocoa butter blends leave me soft and happy. I like that they stick to mostly natural plant derivatives, and that they are vegan/vegetarian friendly. I am not a big fan of the body lotions or washes, as they usually smell pretty funky, but hey- natural stuff is just different. I do really want to try out their shampoos, but most of them use sulfates, so I probably won't get to it. All in all, really awesome body products, even for picky people, and I appreciate their ethos a ton. read more

I've attended several Lush stores across the US and this one by far is my least favorite. Though the associate that helped me was very helpful and very nice (thank you!) when i went to check out, the manager was too busy talking to her friend that was in the store to ring up the products I chose. She then let her friend cut me in line then come my turn after waiting in line for over 10 minutes said she was "too busy" and asked another associate to ring up my order. This associate was cordial, but very transparent as he was giving out several free samples to women spending a lot of money in the store but vouched not to offer anything to me as my order was just a quick pick up so it was small. Sorry I wasn't a big spender this time but it would have been considering my patronage for over 5 years. I never been more upset leaving a Lush before. read more

It's a rather small store but they make the most of it with friendly and helpful staff, great products, and (almost) no sales tax! I hate this location. I love lush products, but I will not visit this LUSH again. The sales associates either follow you around like a little puppy dog OR stand behind the counter and gossip about you. Their return policy is also supposed to be generous. I used one of the shampoos ONE time and it made my hair fall out. They wouldn't return or exchange it for me. The assistant manager had no reason to deny the return and laughed at me. The store is also so tiny and there was no room to push my stroller through any of the isles of the shop. Definitely ILLEGAL if it's not handicap accessible. Will definitely be ordering my stuff online or going to the Edina 50th and France location. They are always so friendly there! :) read more

Love there products. I'm a huge fan of the bar shampoo and conditioner. I also enjoy the liquid shampoo but usually will go back to the bar shampoo. The prices are higher but when you break down how much you spend on a bottle of shampoo from a regular store to how long a bar of shampoo last I think you come out better in the end. Because if you take care of your bar shampoo it will last you a long time. I love being able to read the ingredients list and actually being able to identify the majority of the ingredients. I love the smell of all the products as well. I've convinced several of my friends and family members to start buying at lush. And they happily go back and buy on their own without me taking them. The staff are always helpful always willing to discuss what your hair or skin is like and then to offer what they think would be the best for you. They are not pushy they don't pressure you into buying they're all about giving information and helping you the best they can. They are more than willing to allow you to try the product in the store and also give out small samples for you to try it at home. But be very careful with those samples because it's enough to make you fall in love with the products and go back and buy it yourself. read more
