A family vacation on Savary Island meant we had to get a water taxi from Lund to the island. The taxi is foot-traffic only, you can't bring a car or any motorized vehicles. Any cars on the island were brought over by barge. You could probably bring a bicycle on the taxi. But because there are only a handful of shops, and one convenience store, we also had to bring all of our food and necessities. That made for a lot of baggage.
I don't know the exact price as I wasn't paying the bill, but according to the website they only charge per person, not for the number of bags. Although they charge extra for bikes, kayaks, and paddleboards.
The Lund Water Taxi staff were helpful loading the boat, but we had to bring everything from the car to the dock. Not to mention the other side where we had to get a land taxi (aka some guy with a pick-up truck) so we could get all the stuff from the Savary Island dock to our rental cabin. Although the good thing is that the Lund Water Taxi organizes the land taxi to meet you on the other side (extra fees apply). read more
