The trail is mostly gravel and well maintained- you can easily hike it but it seems to be mainly used for horseback riding - lots of manure piles to navigate so be aware lol! Unfortunately the park is in a bit of a drought so the pond is pretty dry as of Memorial Day weekend 2023 - but there's still a little water in it. We heard lots of frogs singing and saw TONS of Swallows out hunting for bugs. You can see the tip of the Tetons in the distance as well as other mountains off to the north. You pass underneath the main highway at the beginning of the trail and after your round the first corner, it becomes very peaceful! The trail can be a bit muddy and is VERY buggy so I recommend bug spray as well as bear spray - you'll see bear warning signs everywhere and it's a good idea not to hike it alone. There are several other trails that shoot off from this one and take you to other lakes and other parts of the park. I'd definitely try them out if I had more time! To get to the trailhead from the lodge, walk away from the lodge toward the highway and you'll find it just past the horse corral - very easy to find, especially with the AllTrails map in the app. To hike it I think you'd need to park at the lodge which is fine, even if you're not a guest - they have a lot of general parking.

I would strongly recommend it,…read morebut just be aware that the parking is competitive at Jenny Lake visitor center because it's the most popular in the park (despite there being a massive parking lot with an overflow area). One of the nice things about this visitor center is that there are clean bathrooms with running water, food, options, and gift stores. The lake itself is absolutely stunning, and you have two options to get to hidden Falls - you can either do the actual trail, which takes anywhere from 1 to 2 hours, or you can take the ferry shuttle across the lake ($20 I think), which cuts your trip down by a solid mile or two. In fact, it ends up only taking maybe 15 to 20 minutes of an uphill walk to get to hidden Falls from where the ferry dock is after you ride it. Honestly, though, I think that the hike itself is absolutely worth it because the views around the lake itself are absolutely stunning! I think if you only do one hike in Grand Teton National Park, this should be it.

It is one of my absolute favorites,…read moregiven the beauty alone but also the accessibility, proximity to a fun town (Jackson) etc. The airport actually is within the national park (only park that has this feature), so if you land on a clear day you get a STUNNING view of the Tetons mountain range just to the west. Jackson is a 20ish min drive away, or if you go north toward Yellowstone you can pass along the scenic byway and stop along any of the turnouts for INCREDIBLE pictures, including the famous Mormon row. Go into the park toward Jenny lake for some of the most iconic spots, or a solid hike. Delta lake is a hard hike but it's STUNNING, and of course the hike +- the boat ride across Jenny lake to Cascade canyon and hidden falls is as stunning as they come. Oxbow bend is gorgeous for views and chilling too, and I saw folks fishing over in that area. Be aware that the lot at Jenny lake gets INSANELY full despite the fact that it is MASSIVE and has an overflow area, just cause the park is so popular. It is absolutely worth it. Do not miss this park - it lives rent free in my head and every time the weather is good outside I think about hiking in the Tetons!

When looking at the Tetons, if you choose the route to the left, much steeper on the way to the lake than the route from the right. Neither is wrong. Beautiful hike, terrain, and views. We happened to hike after recent storms so some parts of the path were puddled with water. Made it fun with either walking through or around. All fun. Relatively easy hike but incredible so don't miss. The water in the lake is so clear and beautiful it makes you want to jump in but you know it's colder than a witches tit!

On 06/16/2025, I hiked the MOST INTENSE hike. My friend and I started at 10 AM and didn't finish…read moreuntil 9 PM. We hiked from Taggart trailhead to Taggart Lake, then off to Bradley Lake. After those two hikes onto Delta Lake. We hiked a total of 15 miles at 9,000 ft of elevation. I frequently hike, but in no way have I ever trained to hike at any kind of elevation. I knew my limits, but boy were they pressed on this hike. On the trail going up, I saw elk and marmots around. Its better to hike with a group of two or more and someone you trust, don't be like me and hike with someone who can care less than you and constantly left me to solo hike on unfamiliar territory. The trail after Bradley Lake is a continuous incline, so take plenty of water and rest breaks. I had to take plenty of breaks and am a slow hiker. Whether you read it on Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, or All Trails, the last 3 miles up is torturously difficult. It is constant rocky with huge boulders that you have to cross by crawling. Here at this point, your trekking poles are useless. In June, some of the trail was still covered with snow. Quite challenging for someone who isn't used to walking in snow; the snow was semi-hard, but soft in parts so I fell a couple of times. To get to the top after the boulders, there's a deep ascend upwards that crawling is the only option and you gotta be careful not to fall backwards. At this moment, I was 3 minutes in and wanted to give up! My friend had already left me behind, I was pissed off at her, and mad at myself for putting myself through this hike. Until, a family coming down gave me some serious encouragement to continue on. Shout out to that beautiful family! Y'all, a real one!! Whew!! I was exhausted once I crossed my final hill to see Delta Lake. It was indeed beautiful and is worth it! The water was crystal turquoise blue (naturally), it was hypothermia cold, but the snow capped mountain tops were a stunner to view. It was so picturesque and all I wanted was to rest. However, I didn't get to because two people were in my ear about, "can you take my picture?" at every single moment and angle. It was so annoying. My friend and I stayed about 15 minutes at the lake before we started our trek back. Now, that was problematic because we were racing to get back before nightfall and since we weren't smart enough to start at Delta Lake trailhead, the hike took longer, we wasted time a lot of time hiking, so by the time we were heading back it was 6pm in the evening. Luckily, it gets completely dark after 9pm. On the way back, it was a descend hike down the mountain, so our pace was slightly increased, but we had to be very careful because on the trail, we spotted a moose. He wouldn't move and was minding his own business. His partner was on the side, then ran when it saw our presence. Eventually, the moose scurried away in the forest. We continued to hike and was faced with a grizzly bear off the path, but was in close proximity. I was horrified and quickly grabbed my bear spray ready to shoot. My friend told me to just run across. I thought that was stupid of her to tell me to risk my life of being eaten so she can live free. Mercifully, the bear continued to eat grass and walked further into the forest. At that point, I was terrified of being with this so-called friend, out in bear country, and by 7:00 PM, we were STILL hiking. I started to panic and begged this chick (that I was with) to call park rangers. Her iPhone had died, so no access to maps, but thankfully my Android still had sufficient battery lasting through the end. She continued to say we didn't need to, but at last she did (after I begged her to) call 911 for rescue. We hiked an additional 4 miles. I was EXTREMELY tired!!! My legs were jello and I was out of breath, but couldn't stop. By that time, my mum called me since I never told her I was safe back at the hostel. A mother's instinct, she knew something was wrong. So she called the park rangers too and then they came, met up with us, and walked us then drove us to the Taggart Lake trailhead where we had parked. The following day, I was too tired to move or walk. I must add, this isn't a small kid friendly hike. I saw noone hiking with tiny kids. My advice to anyone looking to dare hike this trail: *Hike from the Delta Lake trailhead *Bring a trusted friend who actually cares about your wellness and well-being to wait on you and not mock you for hiking pace. *Start early *Train to hike at an elevation and don't cold turkey wing it especially if you're a Southeast Texan *Trekking poles are needed *Know your limits (coincides with the friend note) *Wear comfortable hiking shoes with supportive grip. *Have fun in a safe way

This hike was pretty strenuous for a couple of Oklahomans, despite all of us being in decent…read morephysical shape. I would advise anyone over the age of 50/anyone not in excellent physical health to beware of this hike. More trail info can be found on the app All Trails (which is also good for mapping purposes!) There is an extremely steep Boulder scramble towards the end. Make sure you bring 2-3 liters of water for each hiker, and definitely plenty of food to keep you energized. We each had a peanut butter jelly sandwich, apples, granola bars, and beef jerky. The views from the top were incredible. The blue water of the lake, the proximity to the Grand Teton, the waterfall, it was all so impressive. Absolutely worth the 2 hours and 45 minutes of uphill battle :) took just under 2 hours to get down. We did come across a small bear towards the beginning of the trail, so make sure to keep bear spray handy and make lots of noise!

We decided to beat the crowd and arrived in time for one of the first boats that leaves the landing…read moreat 7 AM. Bring your parking pass if you have it otherwise there will be a charge just to access the area. Once you arrive at the boat landing, parking is free. From there you can either hike a portion of the lake and take the boat back, simply do a hike, or take a boat ride/hike, or just ride the boat! There is a charge for riding the boat with discounts available for kids and seniors. There are only facilities at the boat landing and once you leave you're on your own! You're constantly reminded that you are in bear country so bring some spray, bug repellent, sunscreen, plenty of water and snacks, as there are no amenities in the wilderness areas. Hikes and climbing opportunities exist however, for the more advanced area permits may be required so check before you leave with Park Rangers. We were very happy to have started early as when we returned by noon the landing was exceptionally crowded, and parking was nonexistent. There is shopping, some concessions, and beautiful area to explore just around the boat landing area. This is a fantastic stop, but again emphasize. Be here early!

This park's beauty is captivating. The breathtakingly beautiful mountain ranges make for some…read moregorgeous photos that don't do it justice. It was established in 1929 and continues to be a place filled with lots of wildlife and numerous opportunities for hiking and fishing. The best part of our visit was a genteel raft trip down the Snake River, where you can get a whole different perspective of the park's landscape. As we floated down the river, the snow-covered mountains were visible for most of the trip -- making for some truly great photos. A group ahead of us spotted a moose, but it was gone by the time we got to where it was. It was still a very peaceful and enjoyable afternoon in the park. This national park is truly one of the most beautiful ones that I have visited.

What I think is nice is that the view is not just of the park and all the distant rolling hills, but also Jenny lake itself, which is unique to this area. Some other great lookout points include the hike to Delta Lake, but you're not gonna get that same view directly over Jenny Lake, which is the most popular area in the park. If you're going to do the hike up to hidden Falls, this is basically on the way so you should stop and take a picture or sit for a while. It's definitely worth the time to go out of your way for this!

My group stopped at the top and ate lunch on some rocks under a tree. There are so many chipmunks looking for food, and they look like they get it. You can take the ferry to the beginning of this hike to make it easier. The walk down is a little rough on the knees. Still loved it!

The Bike Park is AWESOME! Not sure what else they provide, but we had so much fun riding the…read moretrails. It's $119 for bike, safety gear and lift ticket for 3 hours. Sounds pricey but I considered going a second day in a row but would've had to go solo. The one downside is risk. My brother in law was not as comfortable on the bikes and took a spill. Luckily no big injuries but there are a lot of rocks and trees to hit if you're not careful.

The Jackson Hole Aerial Tram in Teton Village, WY is an incredible experience with some of the best…read moreviews in the area. The ride takes you high above the valley, offering breathtaking scenery of the Tetons and Jackson Hole. The only downside was that the tram stopped briefly on the way up, which made us a little nervous. Thankfully, everything was handled safely and the views on the way down were absolutely worth it.

You pack into the "Big Red" tram and ascend 4,139 vertical feet up Rendezvous Mountain, and the views just get better and better. On a clear day, you can see the entire valley spread out below you -- it's one of those "wow, this is why I travel" moments. Then you step off at 10,450 feet and make your way to Corbet's Cabin. The smell hits you first. The air is filled with warm waffles cooking in a tiny, cozy hut perched at the top of the mountain. It feels like a hidden alpine secret, even though everyone knows about it. But, on a windy day, be careful! The waffles? Unreal. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and loaded with toppings. The brown sugar butter and bacon combo is legendary, but honestly you can't go wrong. Eating a hot waffle at the top of the Tetons before dropping into serious terrain (or just cruising down a groomer) is peak ski culture. Pro tip: go early. Lines build fast, especially on powder days. Five stars just for the tram-to-waffle experience alone. It's not just a snack, it's a rite of passage.
