For me, this is the ultimate comfort food place. It's called 'Lunchbox' because it doesn't serve anything that wouldn't be in a lunchbox. The place itself embodies childhood simplicity: bleached wooden panels, one long picnic-like table, cute little flowers, and some toy models and games. Though the place is small - it can seat only twenty people. There's a dining area outside which seats a similar number but, being outside, one won't get the Lunchbox vibe so much. The place itself is good for intimate meals.
There are a lot of things to choose from in the menu; so far I haven't been let down. Everything at Lunchbox is made from scratch daily, which I appreciate - it adds to the fresh and home-made element that they offer. Plus everything's MSG-free. The Spinach Salad and the Classic Carbonara are must-haves! I also love the Lamb with Feta & Grape Sandwich and French Onion Soup. For dessert I recommend the Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Cream Pie, Calamansi Tart, and Warm Cookies & Almond Flavoured Milk.
Other notes: The servers are very friendly. You have to step out of the restaurant to use the restroom. Pet-friendly and MSG-free! read more
