LOVE this store!! Cute clothing, moderate prices. The salespeople are fantastically informed about the items but my favorite feature is the fact that they have a "cheat sheet" to determine which jeans are made of particular fabrics. I am violently opposed to polyester and it was easy for the sales girl to pull 6 pairs of nice jeans, NO POLY, for me to try. I have made several purchases there, highly recommend. read more

I've really wanted to support local small businesses during this pandemic stretch and have gone into LunaChics for gifts and gift cards as well as finding things for myself. But from the beginning I've been concerned at the casual way they treat mask-wearing. Exeter has been very clear about the mask mandate being a needed community step but there's no sign on Lunachics' door and none of their staff wear them. It feels like they're making a political statement versus abiding by the town's mandate. This is such a small thing to make everyone feel and be safer. Our local hospital is stressed; healthcare workers are exhausted. How hard is it to support the town your business is in? Put the sign up. Ask your clientele to wear them. Have your staff model appropriate behavior. They've got neighbor businesses who've figured it out - and that's where I'll be spending my money instead. read more

Absolute trash boutique. Don't go there unless you want to be treated and followed around like you are gonna shop lift. Don't go there unless you want to be snapped at by a passive aggressive worker who obviously doesn't care about minimal customer service. Horribly bland clothes and very overpriced. I am annoyed by how I was treated and I hope that this store goes out of business because it deserves it. Don't support this overpriced, rude business. Attention to the employees: stop acting all high and mighty it's an ugly look. I'd rate this zero stars if I could. read more

I've always been a fan of Luna Chics - have been going there for jeans for as long as I can remember. Yes - it's expensive, but it's a boutique people, what do you expect! I encourage people to check out their sales tables/racks if you're looking to save some cash - there's always good stuff in there! I recently went & got a few pairs of jeans & a t-shirt. All of which I threw into the wash together once I got home. Unfortunately, the zippers on one of the jeans ended up catching on the shirt in the wash & causing a couple of runs/small holes. I walked into Luna Chics & explained to the woman working what was going on & was immediately given a new t-shirt, no questions asked! The employees can come across as a bit pretentious sometimes, but not to the point where it's a deal breaker. Definitely worth checking out! read more

After moving first from NY to Boston and now to Exeter, I've been having some serious Bloomingdales withdrawls. Luna Chics has sufficiently provided me with an opportunity to get my True Religions, Vince and other equally cool and stylish options. Great accessory selection as well. One day I was in with my husband, and they made him feel right at home with a frosty beverage and the couch...which of course paid off for them in the end. No, they don't have my beloved Marc Jacobs or the sales of Bloomies, but they sure are close by!! read more

Expensive. Overly Expensive. WTF Expensive. It's a "boutique" with clothes that go out of style faster than Tiger Woods changes girlfriends. If money burns a hole in your pocket and you like to pay 4x more than something is worth, by all means, make a purchase here. The "sale" rack has some "bargains" in the $50 range. I ordered a pair of pants online from Lunachics. They were on sale, so they were a final sale. When they arrived, they were stained with coffee. I was very unhappy with the condition of the pants. I would suggest that you shop elsewhere. read more

I knew this store had mixed reviews before I went in - I heard it was going to be expensive and that the employees were not friendly, but I also heard that the store had cute clothes, so I went in. It was a very bad choice. First, the clothes were overpriced, especially when Bloomingdales has the exact same clothes but cheaper (Cheaper! At Bloomingdales!), but what most upset me were the attitudes of the employees. They were extremely pushy while trying on clothes - I had tried on a pair of white jeans that didn't look good at all, and yet I felt pushed to buy them because two of the employees were standing right next to me in the mirror telling me how perfect they were. Then when I decided not to buy them, the employees did a 180 and became completely rude and snobbish. They even asked me to leave the fitting room before I had tried on another shirt so that another customer could use it. I was so shocked and offended, I didn't know how to react! I felt so used, I had to leave. It was a real disappointment, especially because Exeter has such great boutiques like Serendipity and Ablaze...apparently they can't all be perfect. If you're looking for great clothes AND great service, I'd say try one of those stores or go to Portsmouth. Denim Rack in Portsmouth has better jeans at better prices, and the service has always been fantastic, which I apparently took for granted until now. This is a great place to buy designer jeans and have them tailored on site by a very nice women who wants to help give you the best fit. The jeans selection is very good and the sales associates are very helpful and easy to talk with. These jeans are expensive, but they are expensive every where else you go. Don't expect to come in and get some $20 pair of jeans, if you do this is the wrong place for you. For me I wear jeans almost every day, so why wouldn't I invest my money in the best jeans I can buy. read more

I LOVE Luna Chics! I have been shopping at Luna Chics since they were in their Hampton location. As an avid shopper, there are very fre places in the seacoast area that offer such a selection with a young vibe. You have to go to Portsmouth or Newburyport to find anything similar, but I have found most boutiques to be a bit more "mature". I live in NYC now, but always make sure to stop in everytime I'm in the area. The saleswomen are always helpful and remember and take notice of regular customers (even if you're only in every few months). They generally have pretty decent sales items, as well. All I can say is , thank God they moved to Exeter after I graduated from the Academy, as my parents might have killed me for my spending! read more
