Then I wanted a piece of cornbread as my choice of bread, and he said they ran out earlier. So just got a white bun. I can't believe it was almost supper time, and people will be coming in for a hot deli meal, only to be disappointed as I was. I will be going to Cashwise from now on. I heard about Meats by John & Wayne; wanting something more than a typical supermarket meat selection, I went there...and was pleased! The selection is quite impressive. While there is a small selection of seafood, what really shines here is all the sausages! There's Cajun sausage, bratwursts, snack sticks, breakfast links, potato sausage and more! There's plenty of pork options, chicken, duck, lamb and buffalo! The service is pretty good as there have two registers active when it is really busy and the amount of traffic I saw in the store convinced me it was a good choice for meats! I did end up getting the sandwich combo of the day, which was turkey & cheese with a bag of chips. The bread was offered toasted or "cold", which I ordered cold. A good deal at $4.75 - a nice sized sandwich with lettuce, tomato & pickle. I added a photo to this biz profile. Soup is priced at $3.50 which is good as I pay much more at other spots downtown. However, the soup today was Beef Barley, which is a soup I'm not a fan of. I'll watch their social media and stop by for soup when I see one that's more up my alley. Sadly our lunch, sandwiches and fruit took over 30 minutes and I had to check on the status of our food. Of course they came out after I inquired and did get an apology. Staff then came back to check on us to see if everything was ok and that the owner wanted to give us some cookies, due to the delay. Now, that's customer service! The vibe is very nice and love the feel of the cafe and it definitely doesn't feel like you are in Fargo, but rather France!!
