I've only tried one slice of cheesecake from this place, and it was the Uji Matcha (green tea) Cheesecake.
It was a small piece for 38 HKD, but I've read up some hype about Luna Cake, and thought I'd give it a try.
Unfortunately, I don't recommend the Uji Matcha flavor. The top layer was matcha, and the bottom layer was the regular cheesecake. They leave the cheesecakes in the freezer, and tell you to let the cheesecake thaw for a little bit before eating.
After thawing, I took a bite off the top layer which was the matcha, and it was crunchy due to the ice (I guess I didn't thaw it enough). For the flavor of matcha, I wish it was a little stronger, but it's not.
As for the bottom layer, it was delicious! It was so soft, and cheesecake cheesy, and I'd want to eat more of it! Next time I know to purchase the original, or try another flavor such as Sumiyaki Coffee. Snow Forest (chocolate), Lemon Classic, Pistachio, or Berry Berry.
They offer other sweets, but I had forgotten what they were. :(
For now, the 3 stars goes to the matcha flavored cheesecake. But that bottom layer was 4 stars! read more
