Okay I understand things come up. Now after several weeks of text messaging and finally driving out to his shop and showing him the chairs I needed done, he tells me that people have told him not to try to upholster the chairs (too difficult?) AND that he doesn't have time because he's busy with current customers. But apparently he has time to string me along and waste my time. Honestly, I'm glad he didn't take the work because obviously he's not skilled enough to do it. Unless you're recovering a toilet seat, I encourage you to find another upholsterer. Pam who works out of the fabric Barn in Williamsport is excellent. Oh, and his shop is a derelict shack that looks like a strong wind would blow it over.
