I met Ryan at a bridal show and was really drawn to his photographs. They seemed candid and honest, not so staged like other wedding photographers. I also liked that he offered unique services from other wedding photographers such as creating resin art works from photos. He met with my then fiance, now husband and I, and we chose a package that suited our needs. Ryan is extremely personable and we got to get more comfortable with him while shooting our engagement shoot. The photos turned out great and we got a sample of what our wedding photos would be like. On our wedding day, Ryan was punctual, laid back but also professional. He helped bring order to our bridal party and getting shots set up with a large group. We got a great mix of formal, casual and candid photos of the day as well as indoor and outdoor shots. Ryan worked with us for our wedding on August 23rd, 2015. He was extremely professional and brought a sense of creativity, passion and integrity for his work to the table. Ryan's easy going personality was much appreciated. He was very patient, encouraging, positive, and pleasant to work with. We could tell that he was confident in his process, and his experience showed. Our photography package included an engagement photo shoot with two wardrobe changes, and a complete wedding day photo shoot, including a post-wedding photo album/editing session. For each shoot, Ryan kept us comfortable and made sure to include any ideas that we wanted to incorporate. Ryan's suggestion of Pikto print studio, to create our engagement photo album, was perfect and it gave us the ability to pick and choose which photos we wanted to use, as well as select creative layouts for them. We first noticed Ryan's work on a very good friend's wedding album and thats when we fell in love with what we saw. Ryan's work was unique, emotional, delicate, and powerful at the same time. We were introduced to Ryan, of Luminous Studios, by our wedding planner. He took our engagement and wedding photos. He planned out locations and poses which made things very easy for us and it allowed us to be very comfortable for our shoot, resulting in stunning, story telling photos. He had the photos processed extremely quickly onto his website and cd's for us and even hand delivered them to our house. We couldn't have been happier with the shots and are proud to display them around our house. The whole process with Ryan was pain free and it definitely was a pleasurable experience. I originally saw Ryan's work on a family member's wedding album. I found his work to be intense, emotional, and yet soft and delicate. The best in Toronto, for sure! In an industry where most vendors drop the customer service act as soon as they get your money, Ryan is the complete opposite. My husband and I are not the most comfortable with being photographed, but Ryan put us at ease. He did our engagement photos, which all turned out amazing! He was super fast with the turnover of our wedding photos as well. It's only been 3 weeks, and he's already posted them to Drop Box for us.
