We took the photos in high park near Colborne House in mid-afternoon and we couldn't have gotten better results! This engagement session is part of the photography package that we have selected for our wedding. April is not only very talented and has an eye for photography but she also is very professional, personable and easy to work with. We felt very comfortable throughout the entire photo session never feeling rushed or uncomfortable. As a result, the pictures turned out very natural, documentary style, not cheesy or too posed. Although it only took an hour and a half, we had 5 different backgrounds and April worked with us until she felt that she got enough good shots as opposed to going by the clock. We did however have to schedule the session during a weekday but we lucked out in the weather and the location worked out really well for us. My fiance and I look forward to working with April again for our wedding in June. Stay tuned on an update. Her wedding packages begin at $2,800 for 8 hours plus tax. I can't tell you how hard it was to find a good wedding photographer in Toronto. My (new) husband…read moreand I were probably the pickiest couple when it came to searching for a wedding photographer we could agree on. Literally, we interviewed probably 18 photographers in Toronto in a span of a month, and couldn't find one that matched the classic yet modern aesthetic we wanted and at a price point we were comfortable with. All this, of course, until we met Eric. Eric met us on an incredibly snowy and rainy morning in the spring of 2017 after receiving our inquiry online (I found him on Instagram!), about 5 months before our wedding date. From the very start, he was incredibly professional (out of 18 photographers, he was the only one we met who brought a brochure/portfolio to our meeting). He explained everything he would do before our wedding day, and during our wedding day. He showed me examples of pictures he took in the past, suggested photo shoot locations, and genuinely cared about the photos we wanted. He stayed in touch throughout the months approaching our wedding day, gave suggestions about lighting at our venue, and had a Skype meeting with us before our wedding to go over the schedule for the day and suggestions for photos. One thing I noticed about Eric is that he actually cared about what we wanted as a couple (we met one photographer in Toronto who actually wouldn't take certain photos because it didn't go with his style - Eric isn't like that at all, and cares about your vision!). On our wedding day, he arrived early, he worked so well with our bridal party, gave suggestions on how to pose, and by the end of the day, he wasn't just a photographer - he was like a friend. He had all his equipment handy and was so creative with the types of photos he took and suggested. So creative, a great eye, and honestly everything you could ever want in a wedding photographer. We can't thank Eric enough for everything he did on our wedding day, and after. He was, 100%, the best choice for us, and if you choose him, you won't be disappointed! It's not a busy location but since he's survived years of ups and downs, you know he would be a good business man. Last time I was there, he took a polaroid photo and used a hair dryer to process. Now of course it's all digitized. I was out in 15 minutes. Well really 10, but we started discussing his thoughts on the HST. I agreed with him naturally since he mentioned it was a positive thing and people decided to give it a chance. No problem, I left a 30 dollar deposit. I told him the anniversary was on March 9th. On March 6th I called to see what's going on only to be told it won't be ready until the 9th, when we discussed pickup on the 8th. However after discussing he agrees to have it ready on 8th. I go in on the 8th and am absolutely thrilled at the piece. We talk for a good 8 minutes, the whole time I'm holding the cash in my hand that I owe, which is $50. The conversation then turns and he tells me he had unexpected expenses and now the piece costs $120!!!!. He didn't mention this on the call 3 days earlier, or the first 10 minutes I am there holding the money. He sees how much I love the piece and decides to gouge me knowing I needed it and I will pay. So I paid. But now I will make it my mission to spread awareness at this business owners crooked practices.
