New house, new flooring. It's 3 years later and the better flooring is rigid vinyl plank. I fell for the light tan shades and am so happy with this choice that we installed in our Master bedroom and office last summer. I wish I could do my whole house in it. We had to order a variation that was readily available so couldn't get my first choice color. Fortunately they have many choices to choose from. I believe this was priced around $3.50 per sq foot. I love the in shop samplers they send home and personal assistance finding the right flooring materials. It's simple to order online or in store. We love LL Flooring. read more

Super service! Great selection! We thought that this was a clearance center with limited inventory but NO it is not! In fact it is staffed by very knowledgeable people able to answer every question we threw at them. We were renovating a friend's home and needed to collect samples as well as pricing from several potential vendors. We made a special trip to Lumber Liquidators and were very pleased. This company doesn't even deserve one star! Terrible company stay far far away!!! We bought 700 sq feet of solid hardwood, they knew I had to tear up my existing floor due to defect of peeling and that company would not stand behind their product. I was left having to replace flooring that was only a few years old. Came to LL Flooring where they seemed nice and understanding. I bought Bellawood prefinished solid wood flooring that turned out to be defective due to extreme width variations preventing the floor to be installed properly. You would think that they would take responsibility, NOPE. They credited back the boxes that were not opened which I am sure they will try and sell it to someone else, but the floor that was installed they did nothing but trash it. We provided pictures, videos, post from other installers and their jobs where they had the same issue. My installer made several calls to the manufacturers number and LL Flooring and nothing! They are refusing to take responsibility and of course after the manufacturer "examined" the box sent back to them they said that it wasn't manufacture defect. Well of course not because they themselves informed us they did not follow the standard guidelines that exist so they can say whatever they want and not be responsible. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE WHO WONT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCT THEY SELL...IT IS NOT WORTH IT. Dont believe me check them out on BBB which is something I should have done. read more

Decided we were over the creaking from Pergo I'd had installed years ago. Looked at LL Flooring based on recommendations of family and friend. Decided to go with LVP- due to cost and durability as well as dog friendliness. Plus it's waterproof! Once I got home had a change of heart on color so made a switch. They were able to accommodate and didn't need to delay installation. Kirt, the store manager, was very helpful- as were other store staff. Slavik did original measurements then led the crew that installed- they all showed up promptly and were done mid to late afternoon. Excellent experience and pricing was fair. The ultimate vote on our vinyl flooring will take more years to determine. You recommended a fast and furious contractor who used inexperienced subs and many of our panels separated. An experienced remodeler later discovered that the slippery insulation material placed under the flooring for sound proofing, compromised the fit and panel security We were told if we wanted quiet floors, we should use this. The contractor insisted that he would pick the baseboards and moulding to accommodate his price. If we had had any idea what he chose we would have gladly paid more for better. Our contractor never came back to correct the fit, fortunately our remodeler had fill product that saved the whole job from a complete tear-out. read more

From start to finish this was an easy transaction. I had shopped several flooring stores before going to LL Flooring. They had a great selection and by far the lowest prices - even on the items not on sale. I took several samples home and then used their online tool to see the different flooring in the actual rooms. I advise everyone to do this. I changed my mind totally on the colors I was leaning toward after seeing it laid out in the pictures. I chose LVP (very happy since I have dogs and kids) and the contractors that did the install were professional, quick, and very nice. I will definitely go back to LL Flooring for all future flooring needs. read more

This is the WORST company to do business with EVER!! The people that work at this location in Boise are the most miserable assholes on the planet especially the manager of the store and one of the assistant managers. Last month, we purchased four pieces of baseboard trim. The manager assisted us. As we reviewed the trim pieces for any major flaws (not looking for perfection), he was irritated and aggressive with us and at one point shoved the 8 foot pieces of trim over the counter almost stabbing me with them! Fortunately, I jumped out of the way and my husband was livid. We should not be expected to purchase dinged and cracked trim pieces and the fact that this asshole couldn't handle providing good customer service was horrific! After purchasing the trim, we walked out of that horrible store feeling like crap. I immediately contacted the corporate office and filed a complaint. The following day, the regional manager contacted me and apologized as well as informing me that he spoke with the manager about this incident. Yesterday, I purchased 3 more trim pieces knowing that this manager had his day off...the fact that I have to be concerned about not facing this aggressive jerk again shouldn't be the case! One of the assistant managers as well as a younger guy who happened to be the nicest one out of everyone helped me. Once again, I had to choose pieces that were acceptable to me but not perfect. The assistant manager made a comment saying that I shouldn't be looking for perfection and had a horrible attitude. This same assistant manager helped me to my car and I spoke up and said that I wasn't looking for perfection, but I was not going to purchase majorly flawed trim pieces and that I already had enough trouble with his boss about this matter at which point his disrespectful ass walked away from me not even thanking me for my business. Walking away from a customer is beyond rude and disrespectful! We will NEVER do business with this miserable place again! A word of advice to the corporate office...maybe it's time to shut this location down!! read more

Dishonest team and company! Went in, got a quote, was told there is a 5% military discount...Upon trying to pay, the original quote we were told was wrong and we needed extra glue for the floors (9 more containers equaling another $400+). Asked for the manager he said no that guy was wrong and the original quote is right. Then when we tried to pay the 5% discount for military doesn't apply to discounted items, when in the original quote we were told it would and the guy knew the flooring was discounted. The staff is ill informed and dishonest. We have chosen to take our business elsewhere and suggest others do the same. read more

We had a serious problem with the quality of our flooring. We installed the first "vinyl floor planks" and the top film was coming off way too easily and vinyl tabs were crumbling in our hands. And these were rated as "50 year warranty". Several planks were damaged right out of the box. We asked to return as the quality was poor, but they said we would have to pay for all our open boxes. Just in transport, the boxes were breaking open, so we were told we wouldn't even get half our money back. I would have happily traded up to a better quality, but instead we just get this dumb fight. So, they got our money. Good for them. I will never buy from them again and will not refer them to friends and neighbors. read more

Good pricing, good availability, lots of good products. Don't live up to their word. I ordered 700 square feet of bamboo flooring they said it would be 10 days or so to get it, I was in no hurry and told them I wouldn't actually be laying the floor for over a month, they called back to say that they could get me my order the next day, but the groove on one half would be at a different height from the groove on the other half. They said the color between the two sets wouldn't vary more than the color within each set. I was flooring two separate bedrooms and didn't care about the groove difference --as long as it didn't increase my waste, and I wanted to help them use up their extra inventory. I saved on some shipping costs I believe. They said that I could buy extra and have no return fee and that I could return any full boxes when my project was finished. After reading the return policy and seeing a restocking fee I had them write on my receipt that there would be no restocking fee, even though they said they would remember. I did not think to have them write that I could return the boxes beyond the 30 days, even though this is what we were discussing. The colors of the wood in the two sets of boxes were very different, this didn't bother me, but I noted it as inconsistent with the promises. I finished my project about 45 days later and brought 2 extra UN-openned boxes back to the store for a refund. They were rude and dismissive and talked about how taking the return would mess up their sales targets. They were unwilling to offer any solution or an apology. I sure hope I don't shop their again. And if I do I'll be prepared to deal with rudeness and broken promises. read more

Upon arrival to pick up my ALREADY PAID FOR box of flooring, i was told it wasn't in stock and that my small order was overseen as they have 250 open large orders to look after. I was told to drive to idaho falls or salt lake to fulfill my order. Or pay for shipping to boise. He then dismissed me without so much as a sorry for the inconvenience. Jerry McConnell said he'd call other stores and see if any other store had some boxes left over. Sure enough, he found 2 boxes in Phoenix and had them shipped to my home! After I paid for the order, the nice guy who checked me out told the second guy to help load up the 37 boxes into my truck. "37 boxes?!?! You trying to kill my back or something?!" As we are loading the boxes it starts to rain real heavy and the guy says "too bad you didn't bring a tarp." A minute later I asked him if there was a Walmart or target nearby. "For what?" For a Tarp!! I said. "Oh," he says, "we sell those." I ask "How about we move your forklift and I back the truck up (10 feet) under the cover while I go in to get a tarp and put it on." We're both new homeowners and although my husband has construction experience, we're new to the flooring world. As a homeowner and consumer, I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at the Lumber Liquidators store located in Boise, ID. I just purchased a home and was very excited about shopping for new flooring. The other day, I walked into Lumber Liquidators only to get ignored for almost 15 minutes when I was finally approached by a man named Kirt who claimed that he was the manager. After smelling his breath that wreaked of alcohol, I felt quite uneasy. I asked a few questions and received short responses,It seemed he had no time for me. I did not feel comfortable about doing business with this man. His demeanor was rude and so arrogant that I just had to walk out. I have since purchased flooring for my 2800 square foot home at another store where the customer service has been outstanding, however I believe that customer service should be the number one priority for any business. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I cannot recommend this business. We had a horrible experience, with something that should have been very easy. We went into the show room and ordered butcher block countertops. We were told they were in stock and would be available for pick up within 1 to 2 weeks. This was not the case. It has been six weeks to date, and they still are not available. We have not received updates, we have been told lies, and been given the runaround. But worse, they could care less about customer service. I paid for my order in full upfront. I did give this company one star because the lady I spoke with today issued a refund very quickly. They did have good pricing on items, but definitely not worth it for the poor customer service and frustration we experienced. read more

We are not happy customers. The initial ordering from the store was good. It was all downhill from there. Some of the pieces received with the flooring we ordered was not the right size. That's ok. It was corrected. The installers were less than professional. They were rude, argumentative, and insulting. They had to tear out part of the flooring that was not installed correctly. They wanted to just nail down parts of it to fix it. When I asked them to tear out that part of the floor they seemed irritated. It was raining on the last day they were here. They did not have coverings for their shoes. They tracked in dirt and water from the outside and they ground in dirt on the new flooring. Not only did they leave the floor with glue and dirt all over it, they left pit marks in our brand new floor. We never had an opportunity to enjoy the new floor. They also showed up without proper tools and equipment to do the job. The sale people at Lumber Liquidators were very nice. There just seemed to be a lack of communication between the estimator and the installers. This reviews shows us from California. we are in Boise. read more

Buyer beware. This company has hidden fees and up charges. The store manager quoted us a charge for material and labor and we gave a deposit based on that quote. When we went back to pay the balance for the material and installation we were given a different prices. First thing wrong was they wanted to charge us a double delivery fee because our 900 sq. foot job was too heavy for their truck. Second was the up-charge on the glue. The installer who we did like told us we needed three buckets of glue for the installation but the store manager said we needed 4 buckets at 249.00 per bucket. Then to top off the bad experience we were quoted $2.25 per sq foot for the installation by the store manager and the installer but when we went to pay the price, the per sq foot went up to $3.85. When we tried reviewing and discussing the price discrepancies with the store manager, his demeanor changed. He was combative, demeaning and rude to my wife and myself. I am very disappointed in this store, the manager and customer service. We did get our deposit back with no hassle, the only good thing about them. I will NEVER use them. Here's a tip, Home Depot has wonderful customer service if you schedule an appointment with their flooring designer. We had a wonderful experience, saved quite a bit of money for an identical product and no hidden fees or up charges. read more

Terrible experience. Top 5 worst customer service experiences I've ever had in my life. My wife and I ordered flooring for our home on July 17 and were told it would arrive in about 2 weeks. We coordinated a contractor to install the flooring and put down a $2000.00 deposit. They offered a free cleaning kit for selling us flooring they didn't have in stock. We accepted and decided to wait the 2 weeks. 2 weeks later without a single bit of followup, we inquired by phone as to where the flooring was. In the mean time, we had torn up the flooring in half of our home in preparation for its arrival. They said it was on backorder and would not be in until the first weekend in August. We decided we would wait again. On the first weekend in August, my wife called again to check on status since we still hadn't heard anything. Zero follow up. They told her it would be another week or two, and they would call us when it was in. 2 weeks later, I went into the store to see what was going on. The guy at the store told me sorry about 5 times and didn't offer up anything at all for the trouble. He didn't even make a phone call to someone higher up to see just what was going on. He just kept trying to tell me how it worked between manufacturing, warehousing and sales. Like I'm an idiot. Over and over and over. He told me it would be around September 1st before they got it now. Today, Aug 20th, my wife called their customer service line to see what was going on with it, and they told her they don't know why the guys at the store kept giving us dates, because the flooring had been on backorder for months, and the absolute earliest we would get it would be mid September, and that wasn't super likely. Still no offer of customer service beyond a verbal "sorry." We finally talked to a supervisor within customer service after a long sit on hold, and decided that since the story changed every time we talked to them, we would just ask for a refund and go somewhere else. In the mean time, we have been living in a torn up house for weeks, and our contractor has had to put us at the back of the line to fulfill other jobs he had taken. Absolute nightmare. Lumber liquidators is horrible at customer service, setting expectations, delivering on promises, as well as delivering flooring, apparently. Save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere. I wish there was a way to give a 0 star review. All someone had to do was accept responsibility instead of passing the buck to the next guy and putting us back on hold. Or just set a realistic expectation up front. At a minimum, at least follow up with your customer to keep them in the loop, instead of them having to track you down periodically to find out every time that there has been 2 more weeks added to their timeline. read more

We had chosen a hardwood that was out of stock and LL was unable to get it. However, the store manager decided to do some deeper checking and found the flooring we wanted at a store in California. As our project was an insurance claim, time was of the essence. We paid extra for 2-day shipping. The shipping company delayed our delivery, were very difficult to work with (not the fault of LL) and set our project back by more than a week. When we returned the leftover flooring to the store, they waived the restock fee when they learned of our delivery had been so messed up. My only recommendation to LL: NEVER USE DIAMOND LINE shipping ever again. We have NEVER had a good experience with that carrier. read more
