Sunnyside Trading is a wonderland of bespoke items for your home that you will not find anywhere else! This place is an oasis of style and charm and brings a whole vibe to decorating your house that we didn't know we needed until we were there. And to top it all off, Stuart (the owner) and Klaus were just wonderful and friendly and so knowledgeable in helping us choose the right pieces for our new place. We wound up purchasing two leather chairs (that it turns out Stuart helped design!), but we wish we could've bought so much more. I laughed at myself after gasping like a dummy! Things are a little pricey, and I was more in a browsing and looking mood, so I didn't leave with anything. But if you are in the market for unique home goods (rugs and pillows and seating options, oh my) they are worth perusing! A sign also indicated that there was a warehouse at another location, so there is more to offer than you see at this store front!

The Design Gallery team provided all this and more.  They listened to our ideas, suggested alternate concepts and we worked together to develop a beautiful design that we could not have envisioned on our own. We interviewed and ultimately selected a general contractor recommended by the design team.  We could not have asked for a better advocate to have on our side during the whole house construction project. The Design Gallery team personally reviewed the progress onsite at key milestones to ensure our vision stayed on track. We are now living in our newly remodeled home and couldn't be happier.  Thank you Dawn and Betsy;   your team provided honest advice and you always looked after our best interest.  We consider you good friends

We purchased a England furniture brand couch from the Arden, NC location of Carolina Furniture…read moreConcepts and have not had a good experience. When we received the sectional couch we ordered it was delivered; however, it wasn't put together correctly with the connectors. Not all the back cushions had the same amount of "filling" so they were are varying heights when you looked at it from the back. Also, one of the legs was crooked. And the pillows were flat with almost no filling. The worst and most obvious defect was the chaise lounge piece was not the correct size. We couldn't deal with England furniture directly so we had to go through customer service at the store. We dealt with Cynthia and she was our liaison for England. We were told the chaise lounge piece would be remade. We just received it a couple of weeks ago and the replacement cushion is still not the correct size. It hangs off the frame. Please see pics attached. I called again and was told England was going to do nothing else as the variance was within their "tolerance level." I said it was not within ours and it did not look good. They will not do anything else. I will also be contacting the BBB. Please do not purchase anything from them or any England brand furniture. It's sad that companies we tried supporting: England and a locally made product from an American company and a local furniture company: Carolina Furniture Concepts and neither take accountability or stand behind the products they make OR sell. Shame!

It's the most fun and enjoyable shopping experience I've ever had. When my partner and I moved here with little furniture and a tight budget, we furnished almost our entire place with pieces from TRS at shockingly fair prices. Nearly three years later, everything has held up beautifully. These pieces aren't just furniture, they're treasures, crafted with care by local artisans who repurpose used items instead of letting them go to waste. Knowing we're giving these pieces new life is so special and truly embodies the spirit of this community. We're devastated for TRS after Helene, it's sickening and awful.
