Through those years I must…read moreshamefully admit I've tried other lash techs (oh, she knows because she's had to fix their mistakes). Not one has been able to deliver on the perfection that Jenn seems to effortlessly attain. Application is always painless and pleasant. I often fall into a comfy light sleep unless I feel like chatting (after ten years, Jen knows as much about me as any close friend would). Jenn is obsessed with hygiene and safety. She understands eye shape (and in my case, age) and truly tailors the lashes to fit your eyes. She's also a stellar human who has a ton of hustle and a wicked mind for business. She cares a ton and makes sure you look even better than your best! 10/10 for 10 years!

Jenn does an amazing job from beginning to end of service! She takes hygiene and cleanliness…read moreseriously, and it is reflected in how neat and tidy her work area is. She is respectful and proud of her work- her artistry, combined with her years of experience, makes for what feels like a quick and therapeutic visit! I personally book for EXTRA VOLUME lash service and she is able to finish my appointment within an hour and a half. I originally started off with CLASSIC lashes when I first saw Jenn but quickly moved up to EXTRA VOLUME because Jenn is so talented at creating lashes that LOOK and FEEL natural! With EXTRA VOLUME, it creates the illusion that I have make up on without it looking too "wild" or "heavy" and as the weeks go by between my fills, my lashes still maintains it's fullness. I used to wear lash strips but sometimes, lash strips are too long that you just cannot wear glasses (prescription OR sunglasses). Jenn created lashes for me that I can wear with or without glasses! It also feels so lightweight that sometimes I forget I have lash extensions on. I have also booked Jenn for several other services, such as brow lamination, brow henna, make-up, and hair styling services whenever the occasion calls for it. Each time, I leave so happy and satisfied! Jenn continuously studies and improves her craft. I have seen her grow from having a small station at a lash boutique store to now creating her own space at Sola Salons. She keeps the customers in mind and strives to create a professional, yet inviting environment. Jenn is someone who is a trusted recommendation for friends and family of mine looking for all beauty services (lash extension, brow lamination, brow henna, make-up, and hair styling)!

I've seen brides wear so much makeup that they barely look like themselves, and I knew I wanted something different. I could only tolerate the indifference and impersonal service for so long. I don't know why I…read morecontinued to use her services for over three years but again, there really aren't a lot of options here in the South Bay. It's close to where I live and parking was never an issue which was a welcomed change to what I've had to deal with at other salons. I will have to say that whatever relaxer she used never irritated my scalp and I never burned. She could have done better with styles for me though...or maybe she could care less about the way I left the salon. I did see others leave the salon with some pretty sharp styles but I guess they were more important. It could be that I don't look like I come from money, which would explain why the owner could take me or leave me as a client. I don't like to talk when I'm at the salon so I appreciated her not prying into my life but after the fifth time she asked me where I worked, I was really starting to get a little annoyed. At that point, I just wished she would just stop talking to me. In the end, she may have asked me where I worked about 15 times over the length of time I was going to that salon. Towards the end, I thought about coming up with some crazy professions just to see if she was even listening to me when I answered. I also had a problem with scheduling one time. Her excuse to me was that she had me booked the day before and figured that I chose not to come. I was so livid because not once had I ever stood her up so I felt that she should have called me the day before if in fact I did have an appointment scheduled with her. If she had, I would have made my way there. I could go on and on about what I didn't like about the service there but it's not worth it. If she feels you're worthy of her circle, you'll get star treatment but if you're an average chic like myself, be prepared to be ignored and take the backseat to the other clients who are more important. Her indifference is what really got to me and I'm sure she hasn't even realized that I'm no longer going there.

I TOTALLY Agree with the review from Raydia W. I too tolerated her for waaaay too long…read more Desperation I guess. I was very nice when visiting this salon, I even was extremely tolerant of a situation beyond her control and never got upset, just waited patiently until my hair could get done. I was late once (30 min.) and though I had been patient with her it was interesting how she did not reciprocate, and I know she remembered when I was patient. But despite my patience and good tips I have to say I don't think I was part of the "inner" circle. I often got the feeling she could care less about the way I left the salon. I've seen some decent styles leave there and lot's of kissing up too but I'm on the quiet side and would make small talk when we were mostly alone in there. I got the feeling though that I wasn't up to her circle standards and so doing my hair was of no importance. The last time I got a really short hair cut and saw this one piece of hair sticking out by my ear. You think she would cut it! Nope, - I just wanted to see if my hunch was right. Needless to say I cut it myself later. Major attitude - she washed my hair and asked me which side I wear it/part it on. I hesitated for a moment (to think) and she quickly brushed her hand over my head and walked me to the hair-dryer. I figured we were still discussing it so I then said "to the left". I was quickly put in my place with an answer "It's too late! - I needed your input back at the bowl!". I was stunned by the sharpness of it. Totally unneccesary. The relaxer she used irritated my scalp a little and so I had to always be washed out sooner. She was attentive to that but the last time she left it too long I thought. I'm moving on and I doubt she will notice. Business must be good with the inner circle I guess. If you are not part of it I wouldn't bother go here. This was the OWNER - I don't know about the others, so maybe you can try one of them if you are desperate enough.
