Horrible customer service! They are in your face until you actually get the asphalt poured but are incognito afterwards. Driveway was poured during the rain, not level, and not aesthetically pleasing. Reached out after job was complete and was told by Dillon that someone would come out and fix. No word since. Sent pictures to office manager like we were told to do and again no word. Husband reached out months later and inquired again about fix. Dallas calls and states nothing is wrong with the driveway, and we obviously don't know anything about asphalt. When challenging him, Dallas became very upset and started demanding an apology. The actual paving job done at my home was acceptable. On July 16, Dillon Luke sent an e-mail saying it was time to seal. I asked what the timeframe was. At the time he was 4 weeks from starting. No problem, I thought to myself. On August 15, I texted Dillon asking for updates. He replied they had just finished a job and would check with the office manager and let me know. Because I hadn't heard from him, on August 20 I asked again if there were any updates. I haven't heard anything from them. I've been ghosted. Dillon Luke is incredibly unprofessional. Im so happy with my driveway! Great customer service, reasonable price and they came out within the next day of talking with me, to lay the asphalt. They finished everything the same day. Husband has a tendency to park on the grass so I asked them to lay an area for him which they did. Dallas is a such a nice man and responsive. I asked him for a quote about a yr or so ago then again I reached out for another quote. He was very patient with me. Robert and his team came out and walked it with me making sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. Friendly and respectful man. Even retired from the military. Lukes was great! The crew was easy to talk to and it was obvious they care about doing the job right. They went into the ditch around our culvert pipe to help stop any erosion which wasn't mentioned in the quote. They also buried a conduit under the road for me happily and at no charge. They do business old school the way it should be. Don't ask for anything up front before starting the job. I can't recommend them highly enough! This company is a joke and the owner is an angry moron. I have never seen such unprofessional treatment of customers in my life. I paid this goon in cash and asked for them to come back and make a few corrections and he basically called me a liar and said that they completed the job per the contract. Save for the tire marks in the asphalt from the leaky trashed out bobcat, yeah the job was done. Save yourself the time and money you will waste by using this POS and find someone else to do whatever job you have in mind. read more

Luke's Asphalt and Paving wasn't the most expensive, but they weren't the cheapest quote. The driveway expansion work was done in December 2020. Dallas Luke explained that they would wait to have to reseal until the weather got hotter in March or April 2021. I was not here when the work was done and Dallas was not here either when the work was done, but my wife was and my neighbor also watched them. When I got home from work that evening, I immediately noticed spots that were chipped out of my existing asphalt driveway as a result of the bobcat going up and down the driveway. Additionally, our driveway had some cracks in it, but not the spider vein cracks that resulted after the work was done. I took a video of it and sent it to Dallas that evening. He came out the next day or two, and admitted to me that their bobcat was responsible for chewing up some of my driveway. To "make it right," he said he would put a second seal coat on there and that would make a reasonable attempt at extending the life of the driveway. I called multiple times between March and April 2021 and finally had to express a sense of urgency to their business office, that I was prepared to file a Better Business Bureau complaint if I did not hear back from somebody by the end of that business week. Now, I consider myself a pretty upstanding dude. I expect no red carpets for me, but as a Marine Corps combat veteran, I would only expect basic professional demeanor and business tact. But, the personal and professional demeanor that Dallas took with me when he did call me back, was completely unacceptable. He described to me a range of problems he was having with his business, including having to lay folks off or people not showing up for jobs, etc. I explained to him that I empathized with those problems, but that those were his business problems, not mine. I considered myself his client. His business client. I would not expect someone to call me, that I'm having perform work done on my property, and be that rude and abrasive on the phone. He brought up the fact that he had not even invoiced me anything yet. But, I reminded him, that I offered 50% upfront and 50% when the job was done. He said it was not necessary at the time. We left that phone call with a very jaded standing, I would say. Within a couple of business days after that, his guys came out and did put two seal coats on my driveway. He then sent me the final invoice. In all honesty, I consider not paying it. But, I did. I did so, because I didn't feel like getting tied up in some kind of small claims court with this business. After about a week of my wife and I pondering on just exactly how we could approach him, given his lack of professional business tact, I left him a voicemail and expressed that we would like to talk to him again about the state of my driveway. He called me back later that evening with my wife on speakerphone. And his business tact was no different and more or less was highly rude to my wife. He kept cutting her off and just didn't want to let her talk. I even wanted to offer him additional business by repaving my driveway minus the cost of what we had already paid. He then described my driveway as ugly as "hell" before. Unfortunately, he didn't realize my kids were within earshot. But, it shouldn't matter. This is not how I would expect someone to talk to their clients. What I would expect, is for him to agree to come out and maybe talk with us in person and try to work something out, rather than what we experienced. He then went on the defensive and asked if we were going to go get a lawyer, etc. He ultimately told us he wasn't going to do anything. The conversation just ended on such a sour note. He should try to look at it from the homeowners perspective, rather than the belief that we're trying to rip him off. This is all so very unfortunate. I am now going to get four additional quotes on repaving my entire driveway, of which Luke's Asphalt won't be one. Semper Fi! read more

Billy Luke would not return my phone calls and would not communicate with Tex Dot on their requests to meet. When I left him a message that we were going to hire another contractor for the job he hadn't started, he began to send hateful and nasty text messages. This man is very unprofessional. After I informed other people in the area who had used his services, they all told me they were glad I Didn't hire him because he had done a terrible job with their asphalt. They said it had cracked and had dips everywhere. STAY CLEAR of this highly temperamental individual and his asphalt company. read more

Ours was a small job, just doubling the size of an existing driveway. The quote was reasonable but Dallas explained that it could be weeks until they could do the job, so that they could use asphalt and crew the same day as other smaller jobs. A few weeks later the crew arrived -- on the hottest day of the year so far (102F) -- and in just 3 hours prepared the ground, spread base rock, and paved. I had recently had a contractor quote me a price to seal my driveway. Their bid was too much for my budget. Luke's today quoted me a price which was half the price of the first contractor. I took the deal. The crew showed up with a huge truck and got to work. Within an hour and half they were done and on their way. I watched the workmen and was pleased with the job they did. I had researched the cost of sealer at Home Depot and it would have cost me almost the same to buy from Home Depot and then I would have had to do the job myself.
