Shamrock Foods has very poor sanitation practices, especially in the Gold Canyon Meat plant. They…read morehave very little interest in the health of there customers and employees in dealing with cross-contamination. Ignored sanitation practices such as requiring employees to use the same contaminated smock/lab coat their entire shifts whether it is soiled or not. Not doing daily bacterial swabs due to the testing machines being non-functional, and no sign of the machines being fixed any time soon. In-accurate and false record keeping, and cross-contamination in dealing with the ground beef. Samples of ground beef used for testing fat content sitting out for hours going into dangerous temperature ranges and then being handled by people using either their bare hands or gloves that have been handled by several other meat samples. Then touching machines doorknobs and other things around the area and areas where that ground beef was being tested not sanitized afterwards. Also the ground beef was thrown into trash cans near the restrooms and break rooms for the employees which are not designated areas for meat to be disposed of. Disposing of meat in those areas lets it get to dangerous temperatures and can rot all day long while everybody else is breathing in that bacteria and carrying it around the plant and home to their families. We are hoping this review gets to somebody above the HR department and direct supervisors as we were stonewalled trying to get anybody's attention and ignored completely. I hope the CEO or someone right underneath sees this review and gives us a call or reaches out. Watching out for your company's best interest in being fired for it is not only preposterous but unexplainable
