From the beginning, he was very responsive and communicative about his services, expectations and things to consider for the big day. As someone who was planning her own wedding and did not have a coordinator, I very much appreciated his guidance and wisdom since he has so much experience with shooting weddings! He was very understanding and patient when it came to details regarding my timeline (which I sent to him only a week before the event). On the day of, we were running late in the morning, but Justin showed up early and even kindly stayed 20 minutes later than scheduled to make sure we could squeeze in all the group pictures that we wanted. Also, to both of our surprises, my uncle showed up with a camera, but Justin was very understanding and accommodating about the matter and made sure both he and my uncle were able to capture shots without getting in each other's ways. Justin did such a wonderful job positioning my husband and me for shots. We did not really come with any ideas in mind, but Justin had such a wide array of poses, both direct and candid, that we absolutely loved. He also did such a great job showcasing both of us individually and fluffing my train/highlighting the beauty of my wedding dress! Andrew, his son and the second photographer, was also so sweet and helped make sure the full effect of my veil was captured on camera. I am also so appreciative that they went out of their way and captured some special moments via video for us to have (we did not have a videographer). Overall, Justin and his team are extremely friendly, professional and flexible with the best possible attitude and careful attention to detail. I cannot believe the sheer amount of pictures that I received from the wedding day and how much time it must have taken them to carefully touch up and edit each and every single photo. Most of my pictures were taken indoors, but the lighting in the photos is immaculate. Truly, I am so grateful to have hired Justin and his team for my special day, and I would not hesitate to book and recommend him for any future photography needs.

When we reached out for a photographer on Yelp, Kazuya was immediately responsive, available to schedule us on only a few days' notice, and picked a beautiful location. Even though the location was crowded with other people taking pictures (at least 5 other photographers), you wouldn't know it based on how the photos came out. The photos honestly make it look like we were the only people on the beach. In just an hour we had more than enough photos. The quality of his equipment and the photos themselves were fantastic. The photo experience itself was top notch. Kazuya was personable, funny, and my young kids found him to be very friendly. He even gave us a parking recommendation. Kazuya was very reasonably and fairly priced. We were so impressed with how quickly he finished the touch-up on all of our photos. And the download from WeTransfer was seamless. The other- plain and simply, high caliber of professionalism, authenticity, and warmth that I've had the pleasure to experience after hiring KLK to work their magic for my engagement and wedding photos at The Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel, this past July. Firstly, my fiancé is not a fan of taking any kind of photos (downright hates the mere thought of it), but Paul changed that all for him during our short engagement and wedding photoshoot so that deserves an extra thank you, as I thought that was not possible. And to have many amazing photos to show for the least possible amount of time to shoot is nothing short of amazing, and illustrates the quality of output you would receive from KLK. Not only that, Kristi and Paul are the cutest, most down to earth and friendliest people you'll meet in the industry. We have only received our wedding teasers to date, and they were all outstanding. Can't wait to see the rest of the wedding images which KLK has communicated will complete in the next week or so - we also purchased a custom wedding photo book which we are very excited about! This city has always held a special place in our hearts, and having our wedding there was already a dream come true. But Kimfilms made it even more magical. They immediately understood our vision -- I had always dreamed of something timeless, elegant, and full of class -- and they brought that to life beyond anything I could have imagined. Every shot, every angle, every frame felt intentional, artistic, and deeply personal. Kimfilms didn't just take photos and videos -- they told our story. The way they captured the natural beauty of Santa Barbara alongside the intimate moments between my husband and me was absolutely breathtaking. They caught the quiet glances, the joyful tears, the laughter, and the love -- the kinds of moments you can't plan, only feel. And now, thanks to them, we get to relive those emotions forever. When we saw the final footage and images, we were moved to tears. It was everything we hoped for and more -- a perfect reflection of who we are as a couple and the love we shared that day. The vision of elegance and class was spot on, and Kimfilms honored it with such care and creativity. To the entire Kimfilms team: thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. We're not super used to being in front of the camera, but KimFilms did such a fantastic job with helping to guide and pose us in ways that still looked natural. I am rewriting my review of OC Event Photos because even after four years, looking at our proposal…read morephotos still makes us disappointed and sad. We planned this proposal for about a month with Corey and specifically discussed capturing the actual proposal moment. Unfortunately, the photographer missed a significant part of it and only started recording after my proposal was already underway. This was a once-in-a-lifetime moment that cannot be recreated. The photos themselves were also extremely disappointing. Our faces had heavy, distracting shadows even though this was a summer daytime shoot. We received fewer photos than we expected based on what was promised, and the quality was below what we were expecting. The photographer's attitude made the experience worse. He arrived without even saying hello and left without saying goodbye. For something as personal and important as a proposal, the entire interaction felt cold and unprofessional. When we complained, Corey defended the photographer rather than finding a meaningful way to make things right. After we posted our experience on Yelp, the situation turned into arguments over our review and requests that we remove it. What bothered me most was that there seemed to be more effort put into getting the negative review removed than into resolving why we were unhappy in the first place. We also paid through Venmo, which left us with very limited options when we were unhappy with the service. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend using a payment method that provides purchase protection when hiring any photographer for an important event. Four years later, this still bothers us. Instead of having beautiful photos that bring back a happy memory, we look at them and remember how badly such an important moment was captured. I am not removing my review simply because the business does not like it. This is my experience and my opinion as a customer. For an event that only happens once, I would not trust OC Event Photos again.
