I have been a patient of Dr. Montalvo since he started his practice probably. I was 23, now I'm 45…read moreand still wouldn't change him for any other Dr. The first time I saw him, was when he was with Dr. Benavidez, I wanted to see Dr. Benavidez for a regular pap and for whatever reason Dr. Montalvo came into the room instead. I thought he was extremely nice and I thought he was just being nice because he was starting his practice and wanted to get some patients of his own. As of this day, Dr. Montalvo continues to be a sweetheart with all his patients. I've referred a lot of my friends and they end up staying with him and love his bedside manners. They as well recommended their family and friends to him. It doesn't matter what the reason for your visit is, he always explains to you everything he feels you need to know about whatever condition or symptoms you are having. Sometimes I feel like he explains too much, but I rather have extra explanations than none at all. Some of his office staff have been with him for at least 20 years, which tells you that he is an excellent boss as well. He's very knowledgeable about his practice and very gentle. I will keep referring my friends and family to him because I honestly don't think they'll find anyone better than him.

I couldn't get my follow up nor my next appointment for my other toe I needed. I called the office after 2mths and tried to go in due to my toe getting infected and in alot of pain. When I got there they told me that the office manager and doctor said I wasn't going to be seen unless I paid a certain amount of my balance. I explained that I have been in n out of the hospital that I could do a certain amount only and they refused. I had to come to the er only because they didn't do their job right. They knew what i was getting done so they should have ran my insurance first then doing procedure. Now I am here with tremendous pain at the er hoping I get seen.
