My flight on Lufthansa's Domestic Business Class was okay from Brussels to Munich. It seemed better than most domestic United or American Airlines flights.
Everyone was nice, polite and courteous. With the flight being late, Lufthansa had arranged transport from my gate to the awaiting Munich-Vancouver flight, which had already boarded. It was the nice thing to do, though the penalties and hotels costs would have been expensive for Lufthansa for a 24 hours layover. I laughed to myself, as most US Airlines in this situation would have left you there staring at the monitors, telling you it's your problem.
I noticed on this short flight: the middle seat in Business Class. It looks like economy with six seats across, but keeping the seat empty and calling it Business wasn't working for me. There was no extended length as well. Lufthansa should probably make major changes down the road on their European Business Class.
I did not do a separate review of my flight from Munich to Brussels, as it slipped my mind, but while the flight attendant in the front was down towards the back, the pilot slipped into the restroom. There was no crew securing the area, and there was no flight attendant in the cockpit. After Germanwings 9525 (Lufthansa) crashed into the Alps after the copilot decided to commit murder/suicide and locked the pilot out after he went to the bathroom in 2017, Lufthansa was supposed to address this protocol issue. Apparently they did not, and it was somewhat un-nerving to an American flier.
It was a fast flight, and it connected my to Vancouver. Thank you. read more
