Custom gift basket of local artisan goods
Jane C.

Before coming here, you'll probably want to dispense with your preconceived notions of a gift shop. Before I got here, I previously imagined a gift shop as a ton of tacky knick-knacks and perhaps a few shelves of cheap snacks. You won't find any of that here. Instead, I stumbled upon a veritable cornucopia of local artisan goods that tantalizingly pulled at my wallet's pursestrings. My original intent was to find a gift basket for my sister, but I ended up leaving with a bagful of happy goods for my own self because there's a ton of happy here. The most gorgeous-smelling soaps and diffusers. Fudgy brownies that look like they've left no chocolate for the rest of the world, and cookies that look like they should be tree ornaments. I could sit here and name more, but neither of us have time for that. Let's just say you ought to leave yourself a little more time than you think you might need to browse through all the fridges, freezers, and shelves. The folks here are also incredibly nice. When I timidly approached the counter and requested some help with choosing items for my sister, one of the women helpfully strolled around the entire store with me, recommending goods (without an ounce of pressure), and another wrapped up the goods far better than I ever could, with bows, stuffings, and all the pretty trimmings (FYI - they also ship these items, which was helpful since I was sending a basketful of local Atlanta goodies to my sister in New York). I've seen a few complaints about the prices here, and it's a valid point. Things are a little more expensive here. But given the fact that they're curating the best, the yummiest, and the most wonderfully fragranced items, I expected to shell out a little more than I would at a cheaper gift shop. So make sure you're only coming here if you're shopping for someone special or someone who's worth the extra penny, because they only sell the goodest goods. If you need a basket for any reason - a welcome gift, a generous party favor, a self-care gift (my favorite reason to shop) - definitely make a plan to stop by Lucy's. There's a shared parking lot right out front that seems to fill up fast, but I didn't have much trouble finding a spot, and it seems like people come in and out of the stores in this complex, so a few minutes' wait should be all you need (if that).

Lucy's Market was like walking into an Easter wonderland! So many colors and sparkles--I didn't know where to look! I was enamored with the unique decorations and crafts for the season and picked out a couple of beautiful pastel Easter sprays. Lucy's offers a wide variety of seasonal decor items, candles, linens, tableware and ready-to-eat food items from popular local eateries including Heidi's Heavenly cookies, Belen de la Cruz empanadas, fresh local produce and more. The store is huge with so many items everywhere you turn. They also have a wine wall with a nice selection of wines. Great place to pick up a gift for a housewarming or dinner party. The service was helpful as well--an associate noticed my hands were full and kindly offered me a cart so I could continue shopping. I look forward to checking out Lucy's during other times of the year.

Very wide selection of products in the Christmas-themed market! Wide variety of gifts, decorations, and food items. Beautiful gift wrapping.

The best brownies I've ever had.

This place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Me and my coworker went in to get 7 client gift baskets made for christmas. Everyone was so helpful! They walked around with us and made a list of what we wanted to go in each gift. The baskets came out beautifully. Unfortunately, one of the baskets were forgotten at the store, and they offered to deliver it for me. You won't find better customer service anywhere else.

$10.50 for a dozen of eggs- a little pricy. Who can afford this over priced stuff.

The Beehive on Caroline Street is easily one of my favorite spots in Atlanta. It's so much more…read morethan just a store; it's a creative escape. I've spent quite a few weekends there taking everything from sewing and flower arranging to candle making, and every single class has been a joyful experience. There's something refreshing about stepping away from a screen and actually making something with your hands. The boutique side is just as great--it's packed with unique, high-quality gifts from local makers, so you're always finding something one-of-a-kind. Plus, they give you 20% off any purchases on the day you take a class, which makes it nearly impossible to leave empty-handed. If you're looking for a new hobby or just want to support the local creative scene, you really can't beat the vibe here.

It's easy to get lost in here because there is so much amazing stuff to choose from. Jewelry, clothing, food, crafts, soaps, and much more. I found things that I didn't even know I needed in here and I can't wait to go back. I saw some cologne and intention candles that I want. The price of their items range from $4 - $100 for certain things, but from what I saw the value outweighed the price repeatedly. The best part, again, is supporting so many other businesses in one place. Kudos to the owners for having such an awesome vision. There's lots of parking here because they are located off Caroline in that shopping area. Parking is free too. The shop is super organized and Mari greets everyone who comes in. You will leave with something.

This is the type of place I'd come when I need a gift for someone but don't have anything in mind…read more It's just a cute store with all types of fun, celebratory, and/or seasonal unique items one might purchase as gifts or to keep for themself. Today I bought a set of birthday week surprise boxes--a set of 7 colorful miniature boxes for someone to open each day on their birthday week (or likely the week leading up to their birthday). Each box is supposed to contain something joyful, like maybe a little popper or a birthday message. Currently the seasonal items they have out include UGA football, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. There are also sections of wedding, baby, and birthday themes items, as well as things that are good for a "just because" gift. I'd say the items are priced anywhere from "moderate" to "more than I want to pay."

This woman was repeatedly Kurt, abrupt, & dismissive to me. Sadly, it's the reason I switched pharmacies... her and because they do not take GoodRX. I still miss going to the store. It's stuffed with high quality, vast variety of items. This includes the basics you need for good hygiene, sensational lotion/candles, softest pjs (adults), scented oil for candles, & let's just say great gifts. All of that with the feel of 1980s shopping experience- no screens or overly bright gimmicky things- simply good products ready for you. Enjoy! Check them out. Remember, the rude clerk is just a hiccup on this hidden gem.
