The coaches are informative and well educated in fitness and wellness. They truly care about the members of the gym and want to see everyone succeed. The On-Ramp program is excellent, by the end of the month I've learned not only how to properly execute all the crossfit lifts/moves but also how I should be taking care of myself outside the gym. From my experience, Mountain Strength is a different than other crossfit gyms. The community is focus on health and fitness in a fun competitive way. You wont feel like a fish out of water, everyone is helpful, friendly and supportive. If you have never tried Crossfit this is the place to start...you'll be sore but you'll feel great! I would ride about a 12 month cycle where I would go to the gym and get back into shape, get either bored, frustrated or feel like I got to where I wanted and then I'd stop. Of course the weight would come back and I'd be right back at square one 12 months later. That all changed when I discovered Mountain Strength Crossfit. For the first time I enjoy working out. Everything from the coaches to the members to the ever changing and always challenging nature of CrossFit has made the time I spent at MSCF something I look forward to everyday. Rich and the coaches at MSCF are masters are giving you just the right amount of encouragement to make you reach deeper and try harder then you ever would on your own without overwhelming you with attitude. I felt right at home the very first time I walked in their door.

I was out of shape, overweight, had high blood pressure and multiple physical injuries the dated back to my 'more active' days; the most difficult being degenerative disc disease (bad back). I had my initial assessment with Joey and we put together a plan of action designed specifically for what I hoped to improve/accomplish. I starting seeing Joey 1 day per week and after the first 2-3 weeks of 'good pain' I started to see the results I was looking for. I was losing weight, building lean muscle mass, had much more energy and significantly improved my flexibility. After 4 months with Joey, my doctor took me off of my high blood pressure medicine since I was in better shape and the medicine was making my blood pressure too low! Two years later, I continue to see Joey on a weekly basis and I feel great! While I will always struggle with back pain, Joey has helped me strengthen my core and this has considerably cut down the occurrence of my debilitating back spasms. I will continue to work with Joey for years come. Joey has a great demeanor and makes everyone feel comfortable and welcomed. I am living proof that you do not need to be in good physical condition to start seeing a personal trainer. Joey will design a custom plan for your body type and you will start looking and feeling better after 3-4 sessions with him. When you enter into the facility the waiting area might surprise you with its well lit, bright, clean welcoming appearance. We entered the work out area that is well organized, clean and didn't smell like a gym. Joey introduced me to Freddy who couldn't have been any friendlier and welcoming. We chatted about our boys and how much they've gotten from their time there. Then I talked about how impressed I was with his place. When I left I recognized why the boys look forward to going. The classes are challenging but fun and engaging. I love the small group atmosphere and it's been fun getting to know other members and becoming a part of the community. The best part is that Ashely gets to know everyone personally and he will push you outside your comfort zone if he knows you are capable of more but will also give you modifications for any exercise that you need. I've lost weight, noticed my clothes fitting better and have gotten into a much better exercise and healthy eating routine. I've also gotten a lot stronger and built muscle which is something I struggled to do on my own. After a long day at work, I actually look forward to going to Core Cardio and working out.
