Ordered a ham and cheese burrito, was supposed to be heated. Was cold in the middle, filled with tasteless ham lunch meat, a scorched egg and undercooked shredded potato and cheese. It was tasteless and awful. They don't offer salsa either to spice things up. The donut I had was very good. The vanilla latte was bitter tasting. Too much vanilla syrup. Overall, disappointing. I say eat the donuts but pass on the burritos. Not worth the money charged. Very poor quality. read more

Setting up for my two year olds birthday and sent a family member to pick up my deli order. Pick up the order and bring it to me at the location. Order was completely wrong. In a total panic I ran back and find the first person I see. She immediately looks at the pictures on my phone of what I receive, I show her what I ordered, and she goes to three separate departments to get the large order fixed in under 30 minutes. Not often do we find customer service reps that just want to make things right and not just offer a refund. My daughter's birthday went off without a glitch thanks to all of the people who pulled together to get 4 trays put together. read more

The store is clean but the people that work there are mean and rude.They follow around the store.One lady that worked there told me I was stealing for no reason other than I had a big purse.Self checkout never works(big surprise).Everytime i go there i get followed by one of the employs.They stare at me and whisper in ears while laughing.They act like they are still kids.Grow Up!!The store would be better if they fired them.Also fruit is usually bad oor rotten. read more

I have shopped at Lucky's for 35 years. Today I purchased 2 bottles of water at self check and paid for them. I then noticed I had not rung up an additional item. So I rung that item up and paid for it and left the store. While in my car driving away an employee hailed me down and accused me of not paying for the two bottles of water. I then had to stop my car and show her my receipt which was in my trunk of the car. I have never been accused of stealing before nor have I ever stole anything before. We use to go to Lucky's bakery for birthday cakes, because the product was good and the price was reasonable. But in the past 2 years we have had 3 bad experiences, including a cake that was well over a week old, a cake that was falling apart and poorly decorated, and a cake with the top layer off-center (and they frosted it without correcting it). I spend my money here a lot, and my first complaint is their inability to properly bag up groceries. They usually shove everything into a single bag making it impossible to carry without ripping. Then when I asked for multiple bags the lady working the register and the young man bagging the groceries started laughing and mocking my request. My request was granted, but I still don't feel like I deserve to be mocked by a company where I spend my money frequently. read more

Ordered a cake for a 10 year olds birthday they could not have done a worse job. When I went to pick up cake and pointed out it was not what I ordered and that it looked like a cake for an elderly woman the clerk said I thiught this looked funny with happy 10t. My phone number was on the order yet they made no effort to to confirm the order. I told them they needed fix it and that I would be back. When I returned it was still not what I ordered but had no time for them to correct it again. This is not the first time I've had a problem with their bakery and based on their indifference to the issue, I will not shop there again. This use to be a great store, when it was Albertsons, seems like every time there is an improvement it stops and reverses. There was a great manager or Asst. manager there, would see him all the time and he was friendly and helpful, he's now gone and the old small unpleasant manager is back, he shouldn't work with the public, he isn't helpful, when there are sale prices posted and they don't ring up right, he doesn't correct them, he just lets you pay full price or not get the items, I have seen it a couple time and experienced it a few times myself, every other store (and this one previously) honors the posted prices. read more

I went in for a balloon they sent us to produce for it. No one was in produce we asked to girl in the bakery to call some one she did we waited no one showed up then we asked the girl in the deli to call someone she did and again no one showed up we went to the front and had a manger call someone and still then no one showed we were abour to take our business elae where till the manager had to go and fill our 1 balloon. Ok... this store is fine, no where near as busy as most stores in town so you can usually get through the lines a lot quicker, unless they are busy, then it can take forever because they don't have very many people on staff. The items are average to high priced comparing to other similar stores (Safeway), it is old and getting a bit run down, but still fine. The big problems I have with the store are, the produce sucks!! It's old and often beat to hell, but don't think you will buy good fruits or vegetables, if you get home with something good, it's a rare occurrence, I have gotten some good fruit at the peak of the season, and you are usually safe with a head of lettuce, but I have to open the cherry tomato boxes and look closely because I have gotten home with a box where they were all but a couple shriveled up. I never buy broccoli or asparagus here, they tend to be so old they have turned to rubber. My 2nd issue is the store manager, he is a D... ! He snaps and yells at customers, and this is not just a pandemic overworked over stressed situation, he has been like this for years! If I see him I usually just grab the bare minimum and leave. If you don't know what kind of mood he is in that day, he can ruin your day just because he can?? They use to have this great guy as the asst manager, I use to go in there all the time when he worked, but he isn't there any longer and now the jerk is back most of time I run in. He speaks to customers like he is a parent correcting a naughty child, I am not a child and if I can have a long day at work be overwhelmed most days and still be pleasant, why the hell can't he? This store use to be an Albertsons and he has been around since back then, but I don't think he was a manager. Back then it was a great store busy, great products, filled shelves, good produce (at least much better), they use to bbq tri-tips our front on a large grill, it had lots of employees and I remember friendly people, not sure if it went in the Shitter because of store changing ownership or the store changing managers, but I wouldn't be surprised if the reason was the later. read more

I went shopping in the deli. I bought some food at the register. I told the lady at the register I planned to eat in the deli. She was fine with that. When I went to the deli, there were only beach chairs for sitting in. I sat down to eat. Then, the head clerk, Mike, showed up and accused me of stealing but NOT with a gentle and kind, "Hello, I'm Mike. We've had a problem with thieves." NO! That didn't happen. It was immediately, "Did you pay for that?!!" He was so immediately rude, that I retorted, "No, I stole it and I'm eating it right here!" Then I handed him my receipt. When I did that, he said, "I have to charge you tax to eat here." How is that possibly true when the other grocery stores do not do that in Ukiah? So, either it Mike is a liar or the tax is not built into the price when you pay and therefore, bad service to demand a tax in the middle of me eating my food! I said I would be happy to leave and spend my money elsewhere. His response? "Get out of MY store and don't ever come back!!" When I said, "Okay, Mike," (as I read his name tag), he said, "And get the name right!" He then said his last name - some weird name that is unpronounceable - so I said, "You want to spell it for me?" But he refused and had the nerve to say I was making a scene! Hey, Mike, I will speak my mind and call a spade a spade, to your face and all over the internet. Just as I said to Mike's face, "It's a free country and I'm free to speak my mind!" I don't call names and I don't insult. I just call out the facts and these are the facts. So, folks, how I am supposed to get his name right if he refuses to spell it? Does HE really own this Lucky's??? God, for the sake of the poor Ukiah residents, I hope not. Well, no matter. I'm a tourist who was just passing through. You can be sure I'll never spend money at Mr. Mike McGoo's Lucky store again! After all, I went and spent about $150 at Safeway and they were all perfectly nice there. Why not go to Safeway instead? It's right off of the Gobbi Exit. Mike McGoo, you are a total joke when it comes to customer service. Get a job that takes you away from dealing with the public, since you clearly lack the skills to do so! Accusing customers of stealing is C-R-A-Z-Y! How did THIS guy ever get promoted to Head Clerk is a total unsolved mystery... Where is TV show host Robert Stack or Dennis Farina when I need them to solve this CRIME of having THIS dude in charge of the checkers! read more

I consistently find expired meats and dairy in this store. Not just by one day either some several days. Someone is not doing their job. If you shop here check your expiration dates! I have brought this to the meat dept attention and they don't seem concerned and don't seem glad that I brought this to their attention. Unfortunately this is the only place in town that sells kegs. Never order one from them that is not already in stock if you have any sort of time constraints. I have been trying to get one for eight days and while all of the employees and the manager I spoke with were courteous, they do not communicate with each other and make many mistakes, and wrong assumptions. Went to the Deli around 8: 30 pm today. Asked the lady whether their baked beans had any meat inside it. She said she couldn't tell because it came prepared and she didnt make it there. Last time I checked California law requires you to label the contents of all food items sold in grocery stores, As there is a significant veggie population in Ukiah this is something important to the community read more

I wish there was a way to leave an amazing review on the main page for the whole Save-Mart chain but there isn't so this one will do :) I shop at the Lucky here in Ukiah very frequently. 6 months ago I lost my engagement ring and I had no idea where it could have gone but I retraced all of my steps and posted flyers on Facebook as well as all of the pawn shops and jewelry stores within 100 miles. I was beyond devastated and gave up hope that it would be found. Well a guy by the name of Douglas who works for the company by changing out the self checkouts etc. Found my ring under one of the registers! His girlfriend had remembered seeing my Facebook post all of those months ago. Unfortunately my post had all but disappeared because it had been so long. But they manged to track me down and now I have my ring back! I have always loved shopping at Lucky (especially in ukiah) the staff is always very friendly and helpful. It is my go to store and now I have an all new respect for them! Doug has worked for the company for over 20 years. It is so nice to know that such good people are out there! This is the worst grocery store in town. The customer service by clerks and management is atrocious, they are not helpful, and they are rude. I was there three months ago and they treated me like a third class ciitizen because I had wic coupons. I did not take a long time or anything!! I was there today and I asked if the bag boy could get me the regular strawberries instead if the organic, which were 5.99!!! The clerk said he would have to suspend my checkout, which meant I would have to wait at the end of the line again!!! There were 7 people behind me. I chose to get the damned org. Strawb. Because I was in a hurry. This was the crappiest lucky store ever. Every time I've been there they are rude and seem condescending because I asked the price if things and wanted to put something back because it was too much and there was no price marked and no one nearby to tell me the price before I got to the check stand. read more
