I did read a bad review about something getting stolen. I don't know how this could have even happened. They have you put your belongings on a table next to your station not in a separate room. I came here for a massage and left with a police report. I arrived wearing a polo hat, placed it in my purse before the massage, and when I woke up it was gone. That means someone opened my personal bag while I was receiving a service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff initially denied everything. We asked to see the security footage, which confirmed my hat was taken. Only after the police were called did they finally return it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What really worries me is that they instruct customers to place their personal belongings in an area that is a blind spot for the cameras. Great place for a massage with options from just feet to whole body with hot stones and varying durations depending on how long you'd like. It's clean and the staff is friendly. There are a few room options as well and it's nice and quite and relaxing. I actually had a great massage. Sometimes the massage was aggressive but I was tight and needed those spots worked on. So I stayed quiet. I wish I knew who gave me my massage as I felt they really dug into tough spots and was gentle where it was needed as well. This used to be my favorite massage place but recently they have gone down hill. The massages are still good but the service and appointment making is terrible. They have dialed to write down my appointment the last 2 times I've been which is disappointing because I drove 30 minutes to get there only for them to say they couldn't accommodate me and didn't even offer another time. Also the previous time there were 4 of us and they didn't write down the appointment when I called and we had to come back an hour later. I've been coming here for several years now but hadn't been in a while. But my boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves to a foot massage on a rainy night and so we trekked over. The days of walk-ins seem to be over! Even on a night with crappy weather this place was hopping and we had to wait for 40 minutes for availability (we left and came back after putting in our names). It's still $28 for an hour which includes a long foot soak, extensive foot massage, and massage of the hands, arms, legs, back, and head. I learned something in going with a male companion: I had told him that you remain clothed, and for me (a female) this is true, though they will unhook your bra and protect your shirt with towels. So he was a little surprised when his massage therapist told him to take off his shirt. (Everyone retains their pants, and as you are massaged they will cover you with towels and move them as needed to access the parts of you that are necessary. I will say that even with the towels I was a bit chilly this time, though he said he was fine.) Our massage therapists were whispering to each other frequently, which was slightly distracting. Everything else is the same as it's ever been, from the music on loop to the guava hard candies when you check out :) Overall, still enjoy this place for an enjoyable yet affordable massage experience, but make sure you book an appointment! read more

Let me start by saying I've NEVER had a bad experience here...until yesterday. I even took a coworker because I kept telling her how great it was. In a nutshell, my masseuse fell asleep several times while massaging me! It was the oddest experience. He was a bigger man [[HIGHLIGHT]]so at first I thought maybe it was just his breathing. He would start to massage my leg and then begin to make smaller, slower movements, and then he would start snoring and wake himself up! And then the cycle would start all over again! I wasn't going to say anything, but i said, NO...I'm paying for this service and I'm basically paying for someone to take a nap! So, I finally said, can someone else finish my massage please? "Half-assed" and the two people massaging kept talking and laugh... They were not speaking English (which is fine), but it was inconsiderate and unprofessional. I recommend not purchasing gift certificates from Lucky Foot. I purchased a bunch prior to the pandemic and chose not to use the certificates until I was fully vaccinated. Several of the gift certificates expired Nov. 16, 2020. There was a change of management a few months ago and the new manager made the business decision to not honor gift certificates that expire prior to Jan. 1, 2021. I am now out $168 because I missed the arbitrary cutoff date by 6 weeks and the manager refused to consider an exception even when it was related to the pandemic . The reason given was because I bought the gift certificates from previous management. I consider this poor customer service. I told her why she work there if she don't know English, how we're supposed to communicate there's nothing wrong working in a place if you don't know English, but when it comes that you're working the front desk and you're answering phones ,you should be able to answer questions and communicate with the customer. I had theeeeeeeee best massage. I called the business about an hour before their close and asked for anything, I just needed a stress release. She said come on down. I showed up and she must have taken pity on me. 35 min until close and she asked what would O like. I asked what can I get. She offered me a 45 min session, full body. I didn't care and just nodded. I was quickly brought to a cute room. Very clean and put together. She kept her mask in as I did. I began face down with clothes on. She found all the snap-crackle-pops my body was willing to unveil. It took me a minute to realize she was kneeling in my back and hamstrings with her full body. Heaven! Soon she told me to take off my shirt. After draping a light sheet over me, She then used a warm oil and hot rocks to melt my soul into the bed. She used a hot towel to wipe off the oil and quickly got me together (bra refastened) prior to flipping over. After flipping over she ended on my feet. You will be massaged next to strangers. Just a heads up if that's not your thing. Room is very dim with soft soothing Asian music playing in the background. Chair is comfortable. I chose the basic 1hr massage. I loved it. My masseuse had the right pressure. After running 16 miles (Chicago Marathon Training) the day before you bet it all felt great. I'm not really sure why this place has such great reviews. The woman giving me my "massage" was falling asleep (literally head nodding off), and my friend's "therapist" had hands that smelled like cigarette smoke. Maybe we didn't get the same high quality "therapists" that everyone else on here got. Maybe I'm just extra picky because my mom is a licensed massage therapist and so I've been getting massage regularly for my entire life. Either way, my entire experience could best be described as alternating between teasing (way too light touch) and torture (read: incredibly painful pressure), interspersed with brief moments of pleasure. There were times when this woman, at least two times my size, had her entire body weight resting on her elbow, which was planted firmly in my back, and moving. Ouch. OUCH! The entire time I kept wondering if my friend's experience was better than mine. Come to find out it was exactly like mine. I definitely won't come back here. It started with a head scalp massage, then shoulders, then my arms and hands, as my feet soaked in warm water. You are fully clothed the entire time (suggest to wear comfortable loose clothing or woman yoga pants too) then the feet were massaged, along with my legs, you flip over and then my back was massaged. Full body massage and fully clothed, fully relaxed. It felt more therapeutic and it was definitely worth it! I will be back again and you cannot beat the price. Before going here, I really didn't think you could get a better value than Happy Feet. BUT..for $28 you get a fantastic 60 minute full body massage. I went here with two friends this weekend and we all left raving about the place. The rooms are very nice and the chairs are super comfortable. I am 9 months pregnant, so my massage therapist went very light on the foot massage and i wasn't able to lay on my stomach to get the full back massage. It was still great and they were very accommodating to me. The rest of the massage was very heavy pressure, which I enjoy. Do not go here if you don't like heavy pressure. At $28 for an hour, Lucky Foot was probably the cleanest and best value option I've been to in the Chicagoland area. They only offer 1 service but focus on your whole body. The experience always highly depends on who you get but I made a reservation for 3 people and we all had the same high quality masseuses with the same technique. The facility is fairly large with 4 rooms that can hold a total of 12-15 at a time. You definitely need to make a reservation since there seemed to be a constant waiting room full of people. I was concerned that you could hear the constant chatter of people coming/leaving but it remained relatively quiet throughout the hour. One hour of reflexology, wow. I've got that relaxed sore feeling going on now. The masseuse started with my head and ears, then went to my shoulders and arms, before getting to my feet in the middle of the massage. When she pulled on my toes and fingers, I could hear the bones cracking and loosening up. She finished off by working on my back. I just had my first visit here, but NOT my last. I opted for the 1 hour reflexology, rather than a full-body massage. It was incredible! My reflexology guy was Jet (adorable name). He wasn't at all rushed and was great with the pressure. Frankly, I'm the type of person who wants to feel the massage for a day or two after it happens, and Jet was up for the challenge. Just as other yelpers stated, it's very quiet and peaceful. No one talks to each other, and there is soft music playing. It couldn't have been more relaxing. I had planned to do a bit of work from my phone, (which they said was fine) but Jet must know of the secret 'get the hell off the phone' pressure point because about 20 seconds into it, I turned my phone off, closed my eyes and found my zen.
