From the beginning, Emil was professional, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. Neither of us is particularly used to being in front of the camera, but he made the experience comfortable and natural. On our wedding day, he did a wonderful job capturing not only the important moments, but also so many candid shots of our family and friends genuinely enjoying themselves. Looking through the finished gallery and seeing how happy everyone looked brought back so many great memories from the day. We also really appreciated how accommodating Emil was with the specific photos and ideas we wanted to capture, while still using his own experience and creativity throughout the day. We ended up with so many beautiful photos that we'll be able to look back on for years to come. We're very grateful to Emil for helping us document such an important time in our lives and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer for their wedding or special event. The wedding was very intimate and we didn't have the time to plan ahead. Emil literally made booking with him so easy. The day we meet for the wedding everyone was really nervous since it was the first of our family to get married. He broke the ice and made everyone start enjoying and having fun. He was very helpful on how to pose and gave us great tips and guidance. Even went out of his ways to help us find a great location from the chapel to have different views of backgrounds. Everyone was extremely happy already with his work and then pictures came so fast and every single one was amazing. So yes I highly recomend him, found loyal clients with us thanks Emily. Can't really post any face pictures out of respect for my brother but will post some of the others he took time in detail.

She had some mini sessions available around Pasadena in September and October, which I thought was really nice that she has them earlier than most photographers so it gives me ample time to get holiday cards done. Her communication was really great and concise. She was also very responsive whenever I had a question or asked about availability on rescheduling. On the day of our mini session, we got there a little bit earlier to check out the setting and saw that she was already there waiting for us! She is so professional and so sweet and patient with us. My daughters definitely had a blast getting photographed by Caitlin. After our session, she mentioned that it does take 2 weeks to get the photographs back to us, but she completely amazed us by delivering the proofs to us within a week! Wow! From the moment we met them, S + D were so easy to work with--genuinely fun, kind, and made us feel completely comfortable. I really appreciated how organized they were, even drafting a very clear (and beautiful! ) photo timeline before hand which took so much stress away knowing we had a clear plan to capture the photos we wanted on our special day. We decided to opt-out of a first look and to do a "first touch instead" and they were completely supportive and on board for the challenge. We had limited time to take photos after the ceremony but they were so efficient and got the best shots in a short amount of time! They kept the day running smoothly, sticking to the schedule without ever making it feel rushed. Honestly, during the biggest, most emotional moments, I did not eve notice they were there--but somehow they captured everything perfectly. What made the experience even more special was getting to share about both their and our cultures throughout the day--it added a beautiful, unexpected layer of connection. And the photos... we are absolutely in love. They got them back to us so fast, and every single image feels timeless, emotional, and so us. If you're thinking about booking The Hendrys--do it. You won't regret it!

Longer version: Totally obsessed with everything about our experience with The Hendrys, from our communications to our actual elopement shoot to our finished photos. The price we paid ($4,200 FYI, but I'm sure that fluctuates based on area, their demand, etc.) was an absolute steal for what we got (4 hours of coverage they very graciously extended to 6!! to capture our vision even though they had to drive all the way back home after, plus more photos than we were promised, quicker delivery than we were promised, and an all around amazing time). I like traditional wedding photos , but my fiancé (wait, WIFE) and I really wanted something ~different~ than what we always see. We had already decided to run off to the desert (Joshua Tree) to elope and have a less conventional ceremony, and we wanted our photos to have that crazy, surreal Mojave desert vibe. I had done a lot of searching and had almost given up when I stumbled across The Hendrys Instagram it was so perfect, I couldn't believe it. We sent an inquiry and they replied promptly and with so much information. That's one thing I really loved about this experience - they were so organized and on top of things and it really made you feel secure. We put a deposit and then paid the remaining balance before our elopement. The day of, they arrived right on time, even though they had driven in and their car had overheated on the way (desert in summer -- very smart pick on our part lol), which means that they must have left early with plenty of time to make sure they would arrive on time. Apart from being super professional, Sarah and Darren were also just tons of fun to be around - we connected with them immediately and laughed the whole time and felt so comfortable. One thing I loved is that they thought of all the details I would never have thought of. I didn't have to give them a detailed list of all the things that I wanted pictures of - which is good because I didn't know - but through our conversations, they picked up on what was important to us and just observed what looked really cool around the property. They immediately realized our pets are super important to us (and identified with that because their bunnies are super important to them too!) so we have numerous pictures of our dog, Winter, who was our maid of honor, and my keepsakes honoring my angel soul dog that we will treasure forever. Even little details like my wife's softball cufflinks were not missed. I'm typically a control freak and a perfectionist so I had a million thoughts buzzing around before the day about what I wanted to be captured -- but when the day came I just trusted them, didn't have to direct a thing, and received photos that blew my mind. It was a total dream to just be able to relax and feel pretty and have fun:) True to their style, we didn't just get all the pictures we wanted, we got all the pictures we wanted WITH their incredible spin on them. They are true artists and did a ton of experimenting to get so many cool shots. We've already gotten photo albums and large format prints printed of their work for our home and could not feel more grateful. If you're considering using them to photograph your event, I cannot recommend them enough. Just book them!! I hope we get to work together again. Thank you Sarah and Darren for our amazing memories.
