I called around looking for a massage on short notice, and Angel Massage was the only place with availability, so I booked it. The massage itself was effective. I told her where I was having problems, and she dug in deep and worked the areas thoroughly. By the end of the session, the tightness in my hip and lower back had loosened up significantly, and I felt much better. So on that front, she delivered. That said, the experience was unusual in a few ways. You're given only a small towel to cover up. If you're modest, this probably isn't the place for you. The most surprising moment was when the massage therapist climbed onto the table and straddled over me to work on my back. I've had plenty of sports therapy massages over the years, and I've never had a therapist get up on the table. It caught me off guard and made me uncomfortable. Also worth noting: after I paid for the massage with a card, she insisted on a cash tip. That felt a bit awkward and put me on the spot. Bottom line, she got the job done, and I left feeling better than when I walked in. But between the unconventional techniques and the overall vibe, I'm not sure I'd go back.

I cover most of the Southwest. At my age far beyond recommended retirement age my body takes a beating sitting behind the wheel for so long. I have become a patron of deep tissue massage to help with the flexibility and pain issues. I travel around a lot and have tried many places. Sunny is my only choice in Las Cruces. I was skeptical at first because I saw a bad review but I was pleasantly surprised after finding out for myself. The owner is a beautiful and intelligent skilled health professional so she understands human anatomy. The massage lasts for the time that you request and is thorough. If someone left a bad review he or she probably didn't keep an appointment or arrived late. These places do not have enough clientele to warrant numerous staff members so they are busy at times especially when they are good at what they do. Place has a peaceful, clean quiet ambience in which you can thoroughly relax. Therapy is adjusted depending upon your tolerance. A translation app on a phone is handy if you wish to discuss your needs in detail. I personally like going in right after the gym and a hot shower. I left feeling completely relaxed and able to sleep before traveling the following day. I don't get to any one location with any frequency but I will return to Sunny every time I am in Las Cruces.

Walking inside the secure building is filled with several other businesses, not only Spaology. They are tucked away in the back but don't be fooled. It's far more expansive than you may realize. On to the massage. Kelsey was an absolute delight. Normally, I'm like "shoosh" it's quiet time now, but. I did enjoy chatting with her for a bit & getting to know who she was, why she started doing massages, for how long, what type she did, etc. I opted for the Body & Soul massage 90 min with an added scalp massage at the end, because I definitely needed 90 min but did the I didn't want a "working" massage where she really dug into my deep knots but wanted to relax and get some of the knots out too.
