The most surprising moment was when the massage therapist climbed onto the table and straddled over me to work on my back. I've had plenty of sports therapy massages over the years, and I've never had a therapist get up on the table. It caught me off guard and made me uncomfortable. Also worth noting: after I paid for the massage with a card, she insisted on a cash tip. That felt a bit awkward and put me on the spot.
