Specialties
Our Dosa's are famous, but we also excel at hand-made laksa, incredible burgers and fries, Singapore style noodles, nachos, and much, much more. We are pure vegetarian, but most of our dishes are also Vegan, with our own vegan cheese to make any cheese dish vegan also. We have kombucha on tap, beautiful house-made sweets, and tons of gluten free options... :)
History
Established in 2018.
Our story really began with a common interest in cooking and serving food shared by my wife Krishna and myself (David). We spent two years selling our Dosas at markets in the Tweed Valley / Gold Coast area, and when many people asked about a shop where they could get our food at all times, we started to develop the idea of Lucid Pure Vegetarian, where we could serve our favorite vegetarian food from around the world.
Meet the Business Owner: David H.
I have always loved the tastes and aromas of Asian cooking. Having been born in Penang, Malaysia, my first years were filled with the tastes and aromas of Malaysian cuisine - that fabulous crossroads between the cooking traditions of India and China. At the age of 25 I joined a Hare Krishna ashram, and spent 5 years engaged in temple life, much of which revolved around cooking and planning feasts and festivals. During this time I was fortunate to learn from many wonderful cooks.
