There have been ongoing maintenance…read moreand structural concerns, including doors not locking properly, plumbing issues, broken security gates, and repairs that often felt temporary instead of properly resolved. Safety has also been a concern, with vehicle break-ins, lack of cameras, and unmanaged pet issues around the property. The property itself has noticeably deteriorated over time, while communication from management often feels dismissive rather than solution-oriented. Residents should also be aware that monthly costs can increase significantly due to added fees beyond base rent. I also want to note that management may publicly dispute concerns raised in reviews. However, I have documented proof of the issues I experienced, including photos, maintenance requests, and written communication. I stand by my review and am simply sharing my honest experience for future tenants.

Move in these apartments at your own risk. I lived there approximately 6 months. Every day…read moresomething fell off of the apartments; whether it was the patio doors. The big glass mirror upstairs in the bathroom, or something. My AC Leaked for weeks with me using a bucket to catch the dripping water; which contracted water bugs before maintance came out to try and fix it. The property manager name is Sara, and she is the biggest liar and the fakest person there is. If the meaning 2 faced was a person she would be it. She might have a okay looking face but her character is trash. The management with these apartments is not a good look for this complex.

, I would like to share my experience of residing in these apartments for over four years. During…read moremy tenure, I encountered numerous instances where individuals entered my apartment without my explicit consent, despite my previous warnings expressing my discomfort with such actions. Regrettably, these incidents persisted. In response to these repeated breaches of my privacy, I was compelled to file multiple police reports, including one for burglary due to the damage they caused to my door. Furthermore, I was left without an air conditioning thermostat for approximately three months and a patio door for six months. Even when my apartment flooded, causing significant property damage to my own, I recall that staff or maintenance did not respond the following day. Subsequently, I was presented with a document from Janet in the office, which essentially stated that my apartment had never flooded. She had provided me with a different description of the purpose of the document, but it ultimately amounted to requesting me to claim that my apartment had never flooded, despite the fact that it had . She had deceived me and had to sign a document that was false. that wouldn't be the first time. The situation escalated when the maintenance staff and apartment associates disregarded my property rights by accessing my belongings without my permission. . A particularly egregious incident occurred when the maintenance/staff did not offer assistance to enter my apartment after I had locked myself out. However, when they wanted to gain entry themselves, they disregarded my changed locks and essentially broke into my apartment. I recall a specific incident where I had just left my apartment and, as I was about to go leave the gate , I noticed the maintenance staff entering as I was leaving. Within a matter of minutes, they had already reached my apartment. They explained that they were looking for something and cooling and heating wires in my unit, which I understood to be related to the time of year when I did not have a thermostat. It is concerning that many of the similar instances mentioned in previous reviews that have been removed from the platform. However, there are still numerous similar reviews available. I am not the first person to have experienced these issues, and I believe it is important to raise awareness about this matter. Despite events, these individuals persist in attempting to extract an excessive amount of money from me, even though I was paying more than the amount I had initially stated. The discrepancy between what I paid and what they collected remains unclear, and I am uncertain of their intentions. Nevertheless, they are attempting to charge me an additional 15,000.

I'm extremely disappointed with how management has handled the ongoing speeding problem throughout…read morethis apartment complex. I have repeatedly raised concerns about vehicles driving at unsafe speeds, yet it took weeks for management to even post a notice addressing the issue. This is especially concerning around the townhomes, where there are no speed bumps or other effective traffic-calming measures. Children regularly walk through this area to and from the school bus and bus stops, and vehicles continuing to speed through the complex creates a serious and unnecessary safety hazard. Posting a reminder after weeks of complaints is a start, but a social media post or notice alone does not physically slow vehicles down. I strongly believe management needs to take more meaningful action, such as installing speed bumps or other traffic-calming measures in the townhome areas before someone gets hurt. Residents and their children should be able to walk through their own community without worrying about vehicles speeding through residential areas. This issue deserves more urgency and a real solution, not just a reminder to slow down.

Well, thanks to Park at West Ave (P@WA) my family was homeless for 24 hours…read more We visited the property two months ago to find a temporary home for our family of four as we were relocating to the San Antonio area. We viewed their 2 bedroom townhomes, but finally decided on leasing the 3 bed townhome to afford us more space. While we didn't get a chance to view the unit we would ultimately be leasing, we were assured it was almost identical to the 2 bed we toured. Because we lived 2 1/2 hours north at the time of reservation, we postponed signing the lease until we could do an in-person walk-through. Thank God we did. Lori was our leasing agent and the individual who gave us the tour of the units. She was also the one who took us to the unit we reserved to do our pre-move in inspection. She should've just told us to start looking elsewhere. Black mold in the bathroom, unknown mold in the kitchen cabinet, hornet's nests everywhere on the exterior walls and eaves, cobwebs throughout, broken blinds, cabinet shelves and doors? I was shocked that Lori would even bother to bring us to such a place! It explained why she kept rushing us to get back to the leasing office to sign the contract. The fact that she thought we would after seeing all of that was insane. I asked to speak with Sarah (the apartment manager) when I became infuriated at the realization that her employee expected our family to be okay with this s#!tshow of a townhome. That, coupled with the fact that all of our worldly goods were to be delivered to this location within 48 hours, enraged me. Sarah brought over the maintenance supervisor and attempted to mitigate all this drama, but it was spiraling out of her control as I peeled back the layers. We had nowhere to sleep that night, so I tried to find a hotel asap. Thankfully we did, but we were still left with not having a place to receive our home goods. Sarah offered us another unit, same situation: pests, cobwebs, dirty cabinets, hornet's nests, etc; in addition to the unit's being way too small. We agreed to let them clean up a unit for us to move into the following day. I left feeling dirty and pissed off. As I lay in our hotel bed that night I came to the conclusion that there was no way I was going to rent a place that was too small for our family for close to 2K a month, just because P@WA didn't have enough respect for potential (or current) residents to take pride in their property. The plan was to temporarily rent the smaller unit until one of the 3 bed units could be "brought up to standard", then have us move into that one. So, to recap: 4 moves in less than a year? We're a lifetime military family and we have never done that with the Army, let alone because a "luxury" property is too lazy or inept to maintain a unit. We called the property manager and told her we would not be returning and asked her to refund our complete deposit. She did so. It's been a week and a few days- we just received the refund check today. I wouldn't recommend P@WA to anyone, let alone military families. I think the property is a pig painted up with make-up. That's actually an insult to pigs. We were left scrambling to find a place to live with our two children and I'd be utterly disgusted if anyone involved in this debacle still has their jobs.

Overall, this place is in good location. And decent amenities such as gym with tower service. However, my truck got broke into and this is very common here. they don't even care about it. Really, It's been happening alot here not just me. When I saw the other truck was on bricks with no tires on, I thought they were replacing them. But it was actually some one stole their tires and left truck on bricks. I got all of my stuff from the truck stolen. The office told us to make a police report, and they can't do anything. Well ok. This can happen anywhere too I guess. They have a patrol for the club house to make sure to kick everyone out at 10pm, but not for security of tenants. Fine. Second, the trash valet is trash as it is. I don't know who the contractor are, but they simply throw your trash bin away after they pick it up. I put out trash bag and recycle bag separately and they don't even pick up the recycle bag. Instead, they just kick the regular trash bin (or throw it back to floor) your are lucky to find your trash bin out of your door after you put them out. I found mine front of the next door because there was 2 of them and one is like on picture. I really don"t see the point of paying $35 a month when I actually have to go dump out my recycles every day. Overall, this apartment looks great when you see it while you do a tour. But what you see is just sugar coated. It is not worth it to pay this much money for this place. I truly regret my contract here. Do more your homework before you move in here. Oh. I had to add up some more after I read the other reviews. Yes. There is a lots of dogs. I do love pets but there is alot of people don't clean up after their beloved one do their job. I stepped on the poop few times already. There are so many other things to mention too such as fixing dish washer like 5 times and still not working, gate clicker issue that happened many times and other stuff that other ppl mentioned. But can't point them all out because there is SO MANY!!! Updated on Sep 29. Wow. Trash vallet guy took the top of the tiny trash bag, then left the other bag. To be clear, the top of trash bag was very small amount bag that the bin lid was closed all the way. It's not like I put out two big trash bags that can't even be closed. I checked my neighbors to see if trash valet guy have been came through. Worthless. I can't even find this apartment on the better business breu. I researched whois for the parkatwestave and it only shows they are from Arizona. I'm going to find out and report them to BBB as well.
