I've heard so many great things about Lucero over the last couple months they have been open. The vibes are welcoming and comfortable as you walk in. The bar is beautiful and the staff was so kind. Since this was our first time in our waiter made some great recommendations. I ordered an espresso martini which features espresso from a local cafe in Corry ($14). The Prosecco on their featured wine list was also fantastic. We ordered the sourdough bread and whipped ricotta. The portion size was rather small and the bread looks like it may have been premade/frozen. The crispy eggplant was amazing, I would have ordered 3 more of these. Sadly I didn't get a photo of the crispy trout, but this stole the show. I would come back to Lucero just for the trout and eggplant! Lastly we ordered the basque cheesecake, and it was honestly, not great. For being a newer restaurant to the Erie area, the service and food is pretty good. I would come back to try a few of their other menu items. I do think the prices are a little high for the quality and quantity of the items received. I love the tapas/shared plate style concept and this is so unique for Erie! I'm hoping to be back soon to update my review!

My colleague and I came to Lucero on a Tuesday night (with no reservation) around 6pm for dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant wasn't crowded, 3 other tables were occupied and eventually a few people came in and sat at the bar that had seating for approximately 10 people (half of which gave a chefs table view).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We settled on a few dishes that were recommended from the waitress including one of the daily specials. We had the broccolini that sat on top of a bed of whipped carrot puree and olive oil. The broccolini was very flavorful especially with the whipped spread that was included and it came out hot. The cured meat plate was honestly nothing special and I immediately regretted this choice after I saw the lobster croquetas. Next we had the patatas fritas and these were definitely disappointing... one because you can't really go wrong with french fries or actually you can. They went wrong because they drenched the fries with some kind of tomato based sauce and a chilled creama, these sauces did nothing for the dish they actually made the fries feel cold and flavorless. Last we took the recommendation for a crowd favorite and ordered the trout. The trout is served with two fillets (sandwich style) that has a lovely cream cheese like whipped spread in between sitting in the midst of a flavorful oil and a lemon for garnish. This was really good but honestly could be served with a side for more of an entree feel. Lastly, we ordered the almond cake and I wasn't a fan there was too much of the raspberry spread and felt like it needed something like a scoop of ice cream to balance out the flavor. I didn't really taste the actual cake just the tart raspberries. Overall I liked Lucero and may return with the hopes of more flavor for small plates.

Both food and service was 10/10!! Delicious!! Do not miss! We ordered the tuna crudo, trout, short rib, blue crab croquetas, and espresso ice cream sandwich for dessert. Soo soo good!

The food and service here were incredible! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant had a really cool vibe; definitely a good place for a night out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We had our dog with us so we only planted to get carry out, and then we discovered a shaded patio. We decided to stay and eat outside. I was standing at the host stand for quite a while because I hadn't noticed the seat yourself sign. I had also walked in the restaurant and was looking around for any employee - two servers at a table saw me standing there looking confused but then just went right back into the kitchen. When another guest pointed out the sign, I thought well that's great but if we want to sit outside will they ever know we are there. Someone finally returned to the bar and we were able to get a server. We ended up ordering three appetizers - skoat balls, cheese sticks, peach Burrata. All three good. I also ordered a blueberry mint mocktail beer that was actually quite disappointing. It was also quite a charming little town! Would like to go back again sometime, sadly that is unlikely to ever happen.

We're so glad we gave it a chance because it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The patio right by the lake is really cute, and we grabbed a couple of drinks and just relaxed before dinner. Even though it was one of the busiest weekends of the summer, we never felt rushed. We actually enjoyed taking our time, enjoying the view, and soaking up the atmosphere. I ordered the filet medallions, and they were cooked perfectly, right around medium to medium-rare, exactly how I like them. They were incredibly tender and full of flavor. My wife had the sea scallops, and after stealing one from her plate, I can honestly say they were amazing too. One thing I noticed from reading reviews beforehand was people mentioning the portion sizes. Personally, I thought they were just right. You leave satisfied without feeling stuffed. I'd much rather have a plate of high-quality food than a giant serving padded with fries and other fillers. Honestly, this is how more restaurants should serve food and how Americans should eat. We've eaten at several of the other restaurants in Bemus Point during our stay, and Splash was easily our favorite. The food quality was on another level. It felt like a chef-prepared meal instead of the typical bar food you find around the lake. After dinner, we wandered inside and ended up staying for the live piano entertainment. It wasn't what we expected; it was upbeat, interactive, and a lot of fun. The whole place had a great energy. If you're in the Bemus Point area, do yourself a favor and give Splash a try. It's a refreshing change from the usual fried bar food, the setting is beautiful, and the entire experience was one of the highlights of our trip.

We arrived BECAUSE of the expectation of listening to music while we ate - arrived at our 6:30 pm reservation. After we were seated, we were told, "the piano guy didn't show up." We were upset about the nonchalant way we were blown-off. Now, we had decent drinks + food BUT I don't think we'll return this season. No response to my Facebook message despite banner saying we'd hear back within 48 hours. Poorly handled all around. Should also mention we were not the only unhappy people as a couple of parties left after finding out there was no music. Very disappointed and can not recommend (anymore).

We were greeted and seated as soon as we entered the restaurant. Even though we had made a reservation, we were given the choice of 3 tables, which we really appreciated. We ordered two cocktails to start. I had the Flora Mexican which was amazing! it was floral, a little sweet, a little sour and just the perfect amount of yum. I loved it. My husband had the Improved Whisky Cocktail. It was also very good, with Rye, Maraschino and a nice hit of Absinthe. We decided to share some items from the crudo part of the menu. We had the salmon carpaccio which came with squid ink crackers and some lovely little pickled items. It was outstanding. We had the tuna tataki which also had lots of little pickled items and was amazing, but for me the actual tuna stole the show. The last item we ordered was the venison tartare. OMG, it was fabulous. The flavour of the venison was wonderful and the chili and capers just added so much to the dish. The cured egg yolk shaved on top gave it a subtle hint of saltiness. Everything was fantastic. The service was great and the ambience was too. We will most definitely be back when we return to London. Highly recommend this place.
