If you're used to "traditional" Swedish or other massages, some of what Roxanne does will be unfamiliar and seem a bit strange. If you can trust that she knows what she's doing (which she does) and experience it, at the very least you will have tried something new but likely, you will feel the benefit. If you don't want those things however - just tell her! She listens well and constantly seeks education on new techniques and healing massage therapy approaches. She also checks in throughput the session to make sure the pressure and other aspects are comfortable and acceptable. Besides that she is kind and generous with her time and knowledge. Her portable professional massage table is sturdy yet comfortable, and she always brings fresh linens to keep me covered and warm. She uses a combination of traditional and Thai massage techniques, and focusses far less on minutes than on making sure I have a relaxing and peaceful massage experience. She's extremely knowledgable and experienced, even with special cases, like my wife, who has a spinal cord injury and required a different treatment than your average massage patient in order to feel relief from pain and stress. Gayle has a very pleasant, easy-going personality and is a pleasure to get to know. She's also great with kids, in case you have little monsters running around like we do. Once in a while we go over to her home-based clinic. It's recently renovated, totally accessible, has free parking and even a sauna.
