Down the trail, history meets modern day trail planning. In 1874 the H & TC Railway dammed the Cottonwood Creek to make a watering station for steam locomotives. It served the rail line until 1912 when a larger dam was needed and built downstream. While only remnants of the pump station remain, much of the original dam remains intact. Walking onto the trail I could hear the rush of the water long before I could see it. We just don't have things like this too much in Texas, especially in the middle of the city. It's a great place to enjoy a nature walk or take some photographs! Hats off to the city of Allen for making and maintaining this beautiful area for the community! Review #2102

City of Plano has topped off with lots of great parks with too many wonderful things to do here. I walk by Dog parks, water park, enormous football field, soccer field, volleyball court and basketball court, all your outdoor activities at your neighborhood. I walk the trail from PSA 2 all the way to Veteran park close, and way back! That's a good 10miles. So proud of myself today and will kindly reward myself with some cupcakes! I can't wait to do this more. I want to thank City of Plano for their outstanding service for keeping all these parks clean and beautiful, also safe. Love my city. Come visit City of Plano.

Trying to safely get around said drivers and not swerving/ driving erratically myself. The officer first asks me where I'm heading from, if I stopped anywhere, and then he told me I had a fruity smell to my breath. I'm a type 1 diabetic, have been for over 20 years, and control my levels/ know the signs of high and low levels. He explains to me that the fruity breath means I have low blood sugar levels, since I hadn't been drinking, and should treat it. I don't appreciate an officer, not a doctor/ medical professional, trying to explain my health condition to me. I politely informed him that in this case he was incorrect, sharing an educational moment with him. With that said, possibly your officers should refrain from making statements to people when they're not professionals in that field.

It's now at the Quinlan PO & they are demanding an extra $5.11 to deliver the card, saying Greenville screwed up on the pricing & that it should have been charged as a package. I had to go to the Greenville PO in person because after getting their direct number from the USPS service 1-800 number, they would not answer their phone. The Greenville PO flunky of an employee told me I needed to take up the matter with the Post master in Quinlan & I explained well that pretty much defeated the purpose of using USPS in the first place, if I have to drive to another town to collect my package I had already paid to have delivered. So I asked the FAT F for a refund, he didn't like my choice of words, so I told him this is AMERICA, we have free speech here, as I proceeded to pull out my phone to video this, which he immediately said I could not video in the PO, so I referred him to their poster 7. He then stated he had called the police. So I said fine I'll wait, but he still went in and hid in the back office, so I figured he's all talk and I left.

It's a bit snaky and don't go two steppin across blindfolded or you'll def fall through the rotted ties. But ain't it grand to imagine those billowing iron horses rumbling across it?!?!!!! It's freaking beautiful no matter what condition it's in. Time forgotten time piece. If you go there notice the bridge line closer to the 75 service road. That line was the Texas Electric Railway. It was built AFTER the bigger bridge and it went out of service around 1948. Dart bought the line just to the south.
