This time the windows were just plain old and worn. We didn't have to replace all of them but decided to do so because of the quality of the product, installation sounded organized, and the job could be completed in a reasonable time period. The job they did was outstanding in every way. Every person with the company was pleasant and helpful. Installation was neat and clean and not at all disruptive of our home routine. The installers were very enjoyable to have around. We were able to ask questions and we received thorough instructions on how to operate every window installed. Rod told us we would enjoy how these windows enhanced our enjoyment of our home. And he was absolutely right! Our home is unbelievably sound free, weather-proof, and so easy to clean! We've always loved our home and our new windows make us love it even more. The remarkable truth is, Window World couldn't have done a better job and we have already referred others to them. The quality of materials and workmanship was above and beyond expectations, and I will not hesitate to recommend them to others or use them myself in the future, if the need should arise. UPDATE: 7/2023 The first two sliding patio doors had to be…read morere-ordered due to the original measurements being wrong by several inches. (These are $15K each. We did not have to pay for their mistake.) Ultimately, the new doors were ordered and installed correctly after several more weeks. BUT this is because our project had their best contractor/installer (Anthony) on it. Anthony did a fantastic job, and was apologetic for all the issues (obviously, he personally had nothing to apologize for - but his employer does). The local supervisor/foreman quit the same day he visited with the new installer, and realized the measurements were incorrect. The installer (nor us) had any idea the foreman was about to quit (after abt. 4 months on the job); but he inherited all the problems. At no point during this time, did anyone from Pella management (in Dallas) bother to contact us, provide more context, or just as a basic courtesy. They were entirely hands-off, leaving all the issue to the local office, which is apparently in bad shape. To Pella North Texas: SHAME ON YOU. This is BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. 100% Stand-up for your product/service. Don't just leave your employees/crew and customers blowing in the wind. To Pella Corporate: If your associates who operate at the local level can't get their act together, then perhaps you should consider pulling your license/sales agreements... assuming you care about your brand. I had a really positive experience with the plumbing division of 2-H Construction…read more Chance and his assistant Trey (hope I got their names right!) worked tirelessly in the crawl space of my pier-and-beam house for several hours. They reconfigured a sewer drain line so it had the proper fall for adequate drainage. They dug out lots of dirt to position the line properly and replaced some "band-aid" fittings installed by previous plumbers. This took care of the root cause of slow drain/stoppage issues I've dealt with for years! No other plumbing companies took this much time to fix my problem, and believe me, I've had countless plumbers come out over the 11 years I've lived in my house. Chance really showed his competence, and communicated exactly what the issue was with my plumbing (verbally and with the pictures he took underneath my house). Highly recommend!

Based on that, I even recommended them to my sister. Big mistake. When my sister used them, the job dragged on for six months. Their crew accidentally re-roofed the neighbor's shed in the backyard, separated by a cinderblock wall. The neighbors called the police about the crew that was working on the roof since they were acting so oddly. They also cut my sister's electrical cord and caused several other problems along the way. I thought maybe that was just a fluke since they had done so well on my house the first time. But then we had another hailstorm, and I needed another roof. That's when I learned the truth. This time, the project was a mess from start to finish. My roof took a month and a half. They first sent the wrong shingles. The contractors they sent didn't seem to want to work, and--despite what I was told--no one supervised them. The supervisor never showed up. They didn't order enough skylights, and when the missing skylight finally arrived, it was the wrong one, so it had to be reordered again. I was then told the roof was complete and that I could remove the permit from my house. When I called the city, I found out that wasn't true--the second inspection hadn't even been done. In fact, the first time the inspector came, the roof wasn't even ready because the contractors were so slow. We had to wait for another inspection. One other note, my point of contact was Nemo if they assign him to your job request somebody else the gentleman works two full-time jobs and was very hard to get any information from I was constantly texting him to ask when the contractors would be there when they would start when the skylight was gonna be there. I was not kept up dated with the project and I don't think he kept up-to-date with everything either. In fact, he's the one that told me to throw the permit away before the inspector had even inspected the house. He told me the inspection sheet was something else so he really did not know what was going on.

The person in charge to schedule an appointment called Annette was not nice from the first time I spoke to her. First she scheduled an appointment for Monday 12/13/2021. When I called her back to provide the parking instructions, she mentioned to me that they do not do their job on Mondays. How could I guess? She also said that the company workers will call me prior to arrive. Well nothing of that happened. When I shared the above with H.D. supervisors in the store, they denied knowing that company. But from where I would have known them if not through H.D.? That was not promising. It was a nightmare to purchase blinds at H.D. from the moment those people left my home. After selecting the colors and decided what to buy, I was glued on the phone for days and spoke to hundred people at H.D. I came to the conclusion that H.D. is not any longer the same quality store I knew years ago. It changed a lot. I won't recommend A&J Blinds Inc. to my best friends. Make sure that H.D. would know who they dispatch to you when they offer a company to measure your windows. Yes it is tricky business and not transparent. One star is well enough!
