I am writing this letter to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional care I continue to consistently receive from Dr. Stanley and his outstanding team--especially Paul (NP) and the front desk medical assistants. Whenever I have an appointment with Paul, despite his demanding schedule, he always takes the time to truly listen to my concerns, answer all of my questions, and clearly explain the next steps for monitoring my health. His attentiveness and professionalism make me feel heard, respected, and an active participant in the quality of care I'm receiving. I also want to commend the front desk staff for making appointment scheduling smooth and accommodating. On several occasions, they've helped me secure earlier appointments when needed. Their prompt attention, courteous manner, and strong commitment to patient care are genuinely valued--and, most importantly, reliably consistent. Additionally, I've experienced excellent follow-up after appointments--whether regarding test results, treatment plans, or referrals to specialists. Communication has always been clear, timely, and supportive, which is essential for making informed decisions about my health. When I've been referred to outside specialists for procedures, the team has been consistently aware of the outcomes and continues to monitor my overall care. I genuinely feel that my medical care is being watched closely, and I'm thankful for that level of attention. Another aspect I truly appreciate is how easy it is to renew my prescriptions--whether locally at my pharmacy or through online systems. However, there's clearly a communications breakdown in the office that has led to delays in getting treatment. Orders for referrals and tests and even refill requests often don't get through the pipeline, so follow-up care is hit or miss. On one occasion I called the office four times in a one-week period and each time got a different story as to why my referral hadn't come through! However, persistence pays off. You need to be a strong advocate for your own medical care, and I believe this is true regardless of the doctor you're dealing with. Despite how frustrated you may get, be polite and civil but also firm. Another drawback is the length of time it takes to get an appointment: one week for the PA and three weeks to see Dr. Palmer. Waiting times may differ if you're not in a managed care plan. Once I arrive at the office, however, waiting time is practically zero. The office is friendly and I have yet to encounter any rudeness.

Unable to listen to reason for missed appointment. Denies having an answering service message. The black nurse is extremely unprofessional and belligerent from the very first conversation. I have never experienced such unprofessional, irrational, lack of bedside manner in life. Not recommended at all. Instead of going to Steven Western,, I highly recommend Palm Valley Immediate Care - Urgent Care & Clinic Services at Indian Wells, CA They were able to take me right away, no problem, considerably less expensive, but the main thing is the people were super friendly and nice, even sweet. He is exceptional, spends the right amount of time with each of us and really has a caring manner and wants to understand his patient's needs. With several other doctors on staff at the facility, we are able to be seen even if he happens to be away. The staff are all friendly and very capable, and the facility is exceptionally clean compared to others I have had in the past. Now if they could get their computer systems at Eisenhower up to date, with the ability to interact with all the local labs in town. Also expect your billing to be delayed for upwards of a year, the computer & administrative side is as backward as the other hospital based care facilities we've utilized (in LA).
