Getting Lashed by Maryanne is the ultimate girly self-care therapeutic treat…read more I've been getting lashes for a LOOONG time, well over a decade. I've run the gamut of settings - on the couch of someone's living room, tilting chair in hair salon, massage table in a treatment room, shared space with multiple recliners. But Maryanne's is the pinnacle of lash set-ups. Imagine...reclining theater seat, selfie station with pink flower wall and bench made to look like a swing, girly Christmas decor, and you have this space all to yourself. And Maryanne of course. On to her work...she is a perfectionist, uses quality products, doesn't rush. Oh, and she does brows too! She's the BEST. Period.

Finished with cateye, hybrid C curl max 14mm within work regulation. Loved it. Worn on my tour in Japan (attached photo in plane and outside after landing) only lasted 1 week :( Returned for 2nd service, experimenting with the wispy spider eye... she used CC curl and I totally didnt realize CC curl at 14mm doll eyes makes my round eyes crazy... I'm more of subtle, natural look. She spent an extra hour to help me, take down some on the middle and I really appreciate the service... I tried to love it but the kids at work asked what happened to my lashes and if I went to a costume party :( I didnt take a photo to share til after 1 week of most of it falling out. (Attached photo where I have a few left of the volume wisp spider eye , wearing black shirt with hair down.) Trying to schedule 3rd appt since April 5th when the gaps started showing..and April 12th how it looks in attached photo wearing black. Really looked forward to what MaryAnne had in mind for when we'd book next appt. I definitely will stick to cateye... but more natural because the volumes fall out of my eyes so easy in 1 week it's not worth paying $160 (before tip) if I only keep for 1-2 week. Unless refills are quick in 2 weeks for much less... we'll see. :)

It was visually appealing. After discussing, it seems that we decided a hybrid set was more what I was looking for so I got that with a few lashes of purple. Noriko explained that these custom lashes that I was asking for would take a little longer than my original scheduled appointment. So I would have to come back at a later time to do it. My first appt was at 2pm and then I came back again at 5pm after her other appt. It would be nice to have an option for "New Client Appt" perhaps next time so we can discuss what the client is looking for and have some buffer time if need be. As well the location is a little hard to find. It's within a parking lot. They do validate parking but you still have to pay $6. The quality of the lashes is wonderful. It's been now 2 1/2 weeks and the retention is great.

I inquired about a consultation for permanent makeup - nano feather brows (more natural strokes compared to microblading) and the lady who answered the phone actually scheduled me for the Waikīkī location without telling me (originally I wanted Kapolei)...I show up to the Kapolei location day of my consultation and the place is closed. So I called the town location and the owner Hideko answered - I explained to her the situation and she apologized and said that she'd come to Kapolei that week and do the consultation herself. The day of my consultation I called a couple hours before and asked if she'd be able to do the actual service and they were able to accommodate me and said yes! This Kapolei location is nearby Ho'okele elementary and it's a small little shop with one bed in the center. It's very clean and relaxing. Hideko answered all of my questions and concerns. She drew out how my brows would look like and asked if I'd like to proceed. The process itself felt like tiny scratches on my brows not too sore. From consultation to finish it took about 2 hours 45 minutes. Hideko really connects with her clients, gets to know them and takes her time putting in quality work. The price I paid was $800 without tax or tip but I'm very happy with how it came out and I don't regret it at all. A follow-up/touch-up appointment is included in the price you pay if you'd like to add more detail or anything. Thank you so much Hideko and definitely would come back again!

I had my first appointment close to a month ago to have my brows done at their Century Center location. Now that a second one opened closer to home I scheduled my re-touch at the Kapolei location. It is in close vicinity of Ashley Furniture just off Kapolei Parkway close to a school and in a residential area. You will need to find street parking so be on the lookout for the Island Beauty sandwich board fronting the salon. Upon entering it felt like walking into the chicest spa with beautiful music, white fur chairs, white treatment tables and romantic wallpaper set off by a stunningly chandelier. Hideko checked on how my brows turned out after the first session, then marked points and measured to make sure both brows were aligned. This time she was going to microblade my brows after the numbing gel was applied. She cautioned me that I would feel more this time...so true as I felt my left hand grasping onto the table and what seemed like I penetrated the tissue paper lining. She asked if I was okay, applied more numbing gel. I had asked about the microblade tool which she showed me was new and in a sterile wrapper. It was so tiny like a pen but consisted of 17 needle like protrusions but I'd need a magnifying glass to really see. When the procedure was done she nodded approval and smiled and I was very pleased at the outcome. Hideko really is a master at her craft, I felt very confident being worked on by her. Thankyou and see you again Hid
