The shop is super girly decorated with cutesy signs inside the entrance. I had a chance to look at the white cut out panels suspended from the ceiling. Very clever and creative. They are located in the row of businesses with a vape shop at the turn in. For reference they are past Jack In The Box and one turn in before Shige's. They perform their craft on tables rather than recliners.

I recently took her course 1 day work shop and beginners course. She explains how a typical appointment would be like from the time the client walks in until they walk out the door. She went in depth about the anatomy of the skin, technique, color theory, different needles and depth, and different pressures, different ways of shading/outlining, how to take before & after and the entire process of mapping etc) Coming from someone who has no experience with a machine, never had any background in beauty, I walked out the first class feeling confident in myself that it is possible for me to do this. Before I left she had me practice on latex which I gave her a full set of eyebrows which surprised myself and sissy. Shortly after I left I practiced and practiced day in and day out & let me tell you my first sheet of latex was not that great (but as expected as someone who has no experience) I texted sissy a photo and asked for her advice and within minutes she's replies with tips for me on how to better my work. It was too saturated, you can tell my pressure in some areas was heavy & the pixels was not there. After following her tips, the next set I did was much better than before. Moral of the story for this is that there is infinite support with sissy. She wants to see every student succeed in this industry. I had a demo day we're sissy shows me exactly what goes on. I'm a visual learner, so seeing how it's done from start to finish really put things in perspective of what to expect during an appointment. 7/16/21 I had my model day and I was beyond nervous, but she calmed me down and was encouraging me that I can do this and I believed her. I felt at ease knowing she was there supervising me. I'm gonna post photos of my two models below and this will show you that will the right instructor and the amount of time you put in yourself to get better every day, this is the outcome! Sissy is a great mentor and I am so happy I went with her. She believes in you as a person and upcoming artist even when you don't. Has been by far the best experience I've had with taking a training course. This past Saturday, I planned a casual pampering day for my wife. She's all about pedicures and had been complaining about needing one for a while. Me? I'm not really into the whole mani, pedi, massage scene -- having people touch me is sooo not my thing. I'd rather spend my money on food, to be honest, lol. #TRUTH. I originally booked with another salon because of their good Yelp ratings, but after chatting with my wife's Aunty, an avid pedi fan, she warned us that the place rushes customers out when they're busy. That's exactly what I wanted to avoid, especially for my first time. She recommended Nails Design instead, saying, "They no rush you; they take their time." And Aunty wasn't lying! Haha Our pedicures lasted a full hour! We both went with the most expensive option, which I think was totally worth it for the quality and the time spent. Each pedicure was $60 and included: - Hot water detox crystals with fizzy activator - Exfoliating sugar scrub - Collagen cream mask - Collagen massage lotion - Leg & foot massage - Callus removal - Nail care - Nail polish I'll admit, I was nervous about the callus removal and nail care. I've read some horror stories about other places, complete with terrifying pics! Plus, I was worried about sanitation... and guys... this place is legit. Lily and Anna were super gentle, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. For my first pedicure, they really eased my nerves and made the whole experience enjoyable. During the time we were there, the place flooded with people. It seemed like there was a substantial amount of regulars -- that's always a good thing to see!
